Yeah their math is off NO WAY IT WOULD TAKE NO MORE THAN 10 mins to change out since I already had machine open. Company is scams. Just buy a new one put your money towards a new one. The scheduling assistant convinced me to have a service call instead of trying to install parts myself. She was polite, not pushy and attentive to my scheduling needs. Tech called that afternoon and wanted to come the same day to assess. I declined due to scheduling. 2 days later he had parts and I... More

The scheduling assistant convinced me to have a service call instead of trying to install parts myself. She was polite, not pushy and attentive to my scheduling needs. Tech called that afternoon and wanted to come the same day to assess. I declined due to scheduling. 2 days later he had parts and I could meet him. He was running late and kindly let me know. Very commendable. The front panel and control panel have been off for a week. He determined the part I suggested was not the problem. I'd also asked for a general maintenance belt change. He said there was no point because it was the transmission. He then said the transmission is discontinued. I was distraught but tried very hard not to show it. He asked if he could help as I began disassembly. I then asked for help removing the tub. He declined. I thanked him for his time and asked him to put the old belt back on. He told me he cut it. He had the new one, but it would be $49 plus the service fee. I declined. I wanted to pay in cash and avoid the 4% card fee. He had no change and kindly accepted $80. He left but didn't leave a receipt. I stopped by the shop today and spoke with the scheduling assistant, belt in hand. I wanted to pay the remaining $5. She politely declined. She took a picture and some notes and said she'd pass it on to the owner. She was very pleasant. Mr. Boone and I connected this evening. Admirably, Mr. Boone defended the actions of his tech but he could not seem to understand the machine is in worse condition than it was before the service call. I spent a good amount of time last night removing the agitator and not really having the strength to do it myself, my back is very sore and I have a nasty scrape down the back of my arm. Mr. Boone told me he was offended by this review. It originally stated when I went to their website after the service call, it said they sell refurbished appliances. Each time Mr. Boone asked me a question as I was answering, he spoke over me. He questioned my faith based on my voicemail. He offered to sell me a refurbished machine at a discount and alternatively offered that his tech wanted to pay for a new belt himself. Offers contingent on me removing review and reinstalling the agitator myself first. He then explained that his tech is well trained and knows if the transmission is bad and no longer available or if it would be cost prohibitive to pay for a part plus labor, then the tech will decline further service. Explains why the tech didn't want to assist me in removing the tub. Mr. Boone suggested that I was trying to get free labor from his tech and perhaps my intent was to have the machine taken apart so I could then call another service to make the repair. My review in its original form suggested that the new service of selling refurbished appliances seemed suspicious. In my distress last night, I guess I imagined the tech may have offered to dispose of this one for me. And then actually seeing refurbished appliances sales on the website had me thinking situations like this might be where Mr. Boone obtains appliances to refurbish. I am not a tech. I am piecing together how to follow the schematics and consult the Internet for better visual instruction. If I can determine that a washing machine with a dead transmission WILL still spin, I will swiftly remove this review and write an apology both in place of the review and with a hand written letter. Mr. Boone did not allow me to ask that question. My children who are away calIed three times while I was speaking to Mr. Boone. He seemed irritated that I didn't immediately agree to his terms. I told him I'd pray about it. I abruptly ended the call when my kids called a forth time. Bottom line: Boone Appliance has very polite employees but, my machine is in worse condition than before the service call. I ran the spin cycle yesterday morning. I can't do that now. Less

After contacting numerous appliance parts businesses, it was learned given the age of the GE Cooktop all parts were discontinued and no longer available. We priced a new GE downdraft cooktop at a number of appliance stores and a replacement was going to cost $2554.00 plus tax. After further research we learned the new replacement downdraft GE cooktop being sold had been discontinued by GE and even replacement parts for it were no longer available. Over the years we have had a number of appliances serviced by Boone Appliance and decided it was worth a shot to take the Cooktop Module to Boone Appliance to see if it could possibly be repaired. The next day the cooktop module was repaired, and the cost was only a service charge. Our sincere thanks and appreciation, once again to Boone Appliance for outstanding customer service. Less

I finally called Boone and was greeted by a very nice, helpful lady. i gave her the part number and her computer said they did not have it, however she offered to go look manually! i was shocked that she took the extra time to really help me! she came back on the phone and said she had one! i paid for the part right then and picked it up that afternoon. my washer was fixed that evening and it was all due to this lady doing more than she was required to! i highly reccommend this company! The scheduling assistant convinced me to have a service call instead of trying to install parts myself. She was polite, not pushy and attentive to my scheduling needs. Tech called that afternoon and wanted to come the same day to assess. I declined due to scheduling. 2 days later he had parts and I could meet him. He was running late and kindly let me know. Very commendable. The front panel and control panel have been off for a week. He determined the part I suggested was not the problem. I'd also asked for a general maintenance belt change. He said there was no point because it was the transmission. He then said the transmission is discontinued. I was distraught but tried very hard not to show it. He asked if he could help as I began disassembly. I then asked for help removing the tub. He declined. I thanked him for his time and asked him to put the old belt back on. He told me he cut it. He had the new one, but it would be $49 plus the service fee. I declined. I wanted to pay in cash and avoid the 4% card fee. He had no change and kindly accepted $80. He left but didn't leave a receipt. I stopped by the shop today and spoke with the scheduling assistant, belt in hand. I wanted to pay the remaining $5. She politely declined. She took a picture and some notes and said she'd pass it on to the owner. She was very pleasant. Mr. Boone and I connected this evening. Admirably, Mr. Boone defended the actions of his tech but he could not seem to understand the machine is in worse condition than it was before the service call. I spent a good amount of time last night removing the agitator and not really having the strength to do it myself, my back is very sore and I have a nasty scrape down the back of my arm. Mr. Boone told me he was offended by this review. It originally stated when I went to their website after the service call, it said they sell refurbished appliances. Each time Mr. Boone asked me a question as I was answering, he spoke over me. He questioned my faith based on my voicemail. He offered to sell me a refurbished machine at a discount and alternatively offered that his tech wanted to pay for a new belt himself. Offers contingent on me removing review and reinstalling the agitator myself first. He then explained that his tech is well trained and knows if the transmission is bad and no longer available or if it would be cost prohibitive to pay for a part plus labor, then the tech will decline further service. Explains why the tech didn't want to assist me in removing the tub. Mr. Boone suggested that I was trying to get free labor from his tech and perhaps my intent was to have the machine taken apart so I could then call another service to make the repair. My review in its original form suggested that the new service of selling refurbished appliances seemed suspicious. In my distress last night, I guess I imagined the tech may have offered to dispose of this one for me. And then actually seeing refurbished appliances sales on the website had me thinking situations like this might be where Mr. Boone obtains appliances to refurbish. I am not a tech. I am piecing together how to follow the schematics and consult the Internet for better visual instruction. If I can determine that a washing machine with a dead transmission WILL still spin, I will swiftly remove this review and write an apology both in place of the review and with a hand written letter. Mr. Boone did not allow me to ask that question. My children who are away calIed three times while I was speaking to Mr. Boone. He seemed irritated that I didn't immediately agree to his terms. I told him I'd pray about it. I abruptly ended the call when my kids called a forth time. Bottom line: Boone Appliance has very polite employees but, my machine is in worse condition than before the service call. I ran the spin cycle yesterday morning. I can't do that now. Less

Over the years we have had a number of appliances serviced by Boone Appliance and decided it was worth a shot to take the Cooktop Module to Boone Appliance to see if it could possibly be repaired. I had a water inlet valve go bad on my 20 plus year old fridge and the staff went above and beyond to help me find a replacement part that would work .
