We are very happy that we found Move Therapies and Leanne and Dale and we are extremely grateful for their dedication and love that goes into their online videos and in their classes. Mike had an "event" that happened in December of 2019 that left him with balance and walking issues and his right foot not lifting properly off the ground but instead dragging or sliding. Although the Dr's say it wasn't a stroke, and we don't really know what it was that happened, it left Mike in a position he has never been in. He was extremely active his entire life and right up until this happened at age 65. Mike was a full time City Firefighter at the Coast for 28 years after 2 years on the Volunteer Fire Department as well as running a full time large tree moving and sales business since graduating high school. Right up until a few weeks before whatever happened, Mike was active in his Fall business. We are so happy to share that after 5 years of slow although steady progress, for the very 1st time in 5 years, after just a couple weeks of doing online lessons and attending in class weekly group lessons, Mike's pattern of walking changed and his foot started moving correctly..lifting and not sliding. A very noticeable change after gentle and slow changes to the way he did things. We only wish we had known about Leanne and Dale and Move Therapies in Osoyoos sooner! Without a doubt, going to Move Therapies has been life changing for me. As a previously healthy 37 y/o I suddenly starting experiencing a myriad of symptoms, the most debilitating being excruciating pain throughout joints in my body. With no medical answers from family doctor, ER, rheumatologist & internal medicine specialist I sought care from Leanne and Dale. Within 3 sessions my pain, which had been affecting my every day life (I couldn't even open a Ziploc bag or unbuckle my child's carseat), had dramatically decreased. By the end of 12 sessions, I have no pain and if I feel the threat of the pain returning I follow along with the things they taught me/the online program and I'm instantly pain free again. I am really pleased to report that my sessions at Moves Therapies have been really helpful. The reason I initially contacted Leanne and Dale was due to constant numbness and tingling above the knee and into the thigh area of my right leg. This has been progressively getting worse for approx 3 years. When I was sitting I was constantly rubbing my leg and it would even wake me up in the night. I was getting very concerned that it was starting to travel and move farther up my leg. I had been to the doctor and had X-rays taken. Nothing showed up. I felt better after the first session….lighter. The changes are/were very subtle. It wasn’t until after the third session that I noticed that my leg wasn’t bothering me as much. It took me by surprise because I really wasn’t expecting results this quickly. I had my six sessions and my leg was at least 70% better than it has been for years. After taking a couple of weeks off I was into see Dale again and was happy to tell him that my leg had not been bothering me at all. I actually feel better all over. I seem to have more energy and just feel good! I do not seem to have as many aches and pains in all areas of my body. I am learning to pay more attention to my body and not overdo it. Although I still intend to remain very active. Both Leanne and Dale are very welcoming and informative and I feel relaxed in their company.
