We had a great experience. There was a bit of a snafu getting the bikes at first due to a locked door that they were waiting for a key. They more than made up for it by offering us extra free time on our E bikes for the morning. They gave us great detail on how to operate the bikes and places to ride. They were great to work with and took good care of us today. I would Rent from them again.

Everyone at Beachside Bike Rentals was super helpful with everything and would highly recommend renting from this location! We had a fun time renting bikes to ride on Redondo Beach & to watch the sunset. It was our first time we have been to Redondo Beach, we had a few extra hours in the area and decided to rent bikes at this location. We will definitely come back and rent in the future!

Had a wonderful day out on the e-bikes we rented. Super friendly staff and great price.Our first time on a bike for 20 years, it was great fun.Great way to spend the day. We cycled all the way to Venice Beach and back. It was great that the bikes did most of the work on the way back 😀

Took my son's E bike in to get a throttle repair done. They were quick to take the hundred dollars for a diagnostics test and told me they would call me and let me know what was wrong with the bike. Two weeks later no call, his spring break is next week. I'm sure the kid wants to ride his bike, so I called to get an update on my bike and he tells me that the repair man is going to be in tomorrow or I could just come pick up his bike. so, come just pick up the bike I did. Maybe this place might be good for a beach side rental, but for a basic repair going on three weeks with no update and then to tell me I could just come pick up the bike it's pretty wild and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anybody

These are the nicest guys ever! They always go above and beyond and pay such extra care and attention to detail. My son is really hard on his bikes and I find myself here every 6 weeks or so and they always do incredible job! In December 2025, I was charged $26.86 for an inner tube replacement on my road bicycle. When I returned in March 2026 for what appeared to be the same service, I was charged over $37—an increase of more than $10 within a relatively short three-month period. There was no indication beforehand that prices had changed, nor was any estimate provided prior to the work being completed.When I asked for an explanation regarding the price difference, I received inconsistent and unclear responses from staff. One attendant stated that the earlier charge may have only reflected labor, implying that the recent charge included additional costs, while another simply responded, “That is the price today,” without offering any further clarification. Neither explanation fully addressed the discrepancy or helped me understand what specifically accounted for the higher charge.I found this lack of transparency frustrating and the responses dismissive, particularly given that this appeared to be a routine and identical repair. As a customer, I expect clearer communication about pricing—especially when there is a noticeable increase—and a willingness to explain charges in a straightforward and consistent manner.Greater transparency regarding pricing changes, as well as clearer and more consistent communication from staff, would be greatly appreciated to help maintain customer trust and confidence.

This bike rental shop is conveniently located by the beach, making it easy to enjoy the scenic view. The staff was awesome getting us checked in. The gentleman who helped us was quite handsome & friendly.

Had a blast riding a family e-bike on the strand! My daughter loved it so much. It was super easy to book online and pick up the bike. We live locally, so we’ve seen Beachside Bikes many times and figured we would use them to rent a family e-bike. Now, my daughter really wants to buy our own - she insisted she would ride with me all the time if I buy one 😆. Thanks so much. Definitely recommend renting a bike or surrey through Beachside Rentals - they’re great!

Sorry for such a bad review but my experience here wasn't the best. Upon my arrival to this place customer service wasn't at its peak. These dudes want to be sassy and bad attitudes. At one point they were rushing me to make a decision to leave bike with them. As a paying customer you should treat the customer with respect even if you have a 1000 questions. I kind of had an idea what was wrong with bike but the workers know more than customer right ! 😅🤦🏾‍♂️ I ended up leaving bike with them to fix a flat and electrical. When I picked up bike I noticed something wrong with bike right away. Mentioned to worker and he said it should be fine. After 3 days of receiving bike from these guys my bike was flat again. I called back to schedule an appointment to repair and worker kept extending wait time for me to repair. Everyday I mentioned he goes they just booked that appointment. So I ended up going to another shop that was a lot closer. What these guys brought to my attention was a HIGH RISK ALERT. So Beachside never mention I've have a ripped brake line and motor was improperly installed which cause flat. The pictures that I have for a terrible job done. Mind you my scooter goes 75+ and none of these hazards were brought to my attention. It's safe to say I rode without getting injured 🤕 . Just dissatisfied with service and aftermath that I've had to deal with. Make sure to check all your parts be aware.
