I finally received the diagnosis of PPPD, but the Neurologist only gave me a medication and sent me on my way. I knew there had to be more that could be done. In my own research, I learned about the Atlas bone, and the importance of upper cervical spine alignment. I was a hot mess when I found Dr. Dutson, after years of being sent from Dr to Dr with no success. Dr. Dutson took the time to not only listen to my story and symptoms, he asked questions no one had ever asked before. He performed multiple tests, scans, and measurements, which showed where the disconnect was, and what was more than likely the cause. The treatment is a journey. A lot of "two steps forward, one step back". These things take time to be corrected for good. I'm happy to say I'm doing much, much better after several months of treatment. Life Changing!! My story begins 28 Feb 2016. I was hit by a drunk driver going 110 MPH. My truck rolled 6 times. Over the next 3 years I spent 8 weeks in a neck brace, 16 MRI's, 4 CT scans, 3 different physical therapists, 2 Neurosurgeons, and 2 chiropractors. The final diagnosis was live with limited movement and numbness in my right arm. Every day was a struggle. I loved to run but my hip felt off and I would be in pain after 5 minutes of running. If I was working at desk I would have to hold my head because my neck would begin to give me an electric shock. At this point I began a routine to live life uncomfortable. then a miracle happened. I was driving across country and my head wouldn't turn to the right. My father took me to Dr. Greg Dutson. He thoroughly examined me with the best equipment money could buy. Very impressive. He explained that my atlas was off center. Next he adjusted the atlas with a very precise apparatus that was very gentle. Once the atlas moved I felt a rush of spinal fluid to my brain. At first I thought this must be adrenaline because all my issues went away, my eye sight was clearer, and my posture was straight as a arrow. You see I was a skeptic because all I went through for the last 3 years. I am glad to report 3 months after the adjustment my issues haven't returned.
