This is by far the best CrossFit gym that I’ve been to and this review is long overdue. I spent a year there and it was one of the best decisions I made that year. All of the coaches are extremely helpful and I learned so much during my time there. Also, the community is what makes this gym so special. Everyone is very welcoming and I met some great people that turned into friends. The only reason why I left was because I relocated. I highly recommend CEF!

I joined Chicago Elite at 8 months postpartum, having zero experience with CrossFit, and was so pleasantly surprised to find the most supportive coaches and community. It’s now been over two years and I’ve grown stronger, more confident and made life long friends. Highly recommend all the coaches - Bridget, Andrew, & Matt are just the ones I take classes from most often - I trust them to help with scaling options and they always push me to get better.

I joined the gym after spending years going to more traditional gyms. At the time, I was burned out and really saw the gym as a chore and just a box to check off. CEF really changed my whole mentality! It was awesome to join such a welcoming community and have such great workout programming! The coaches are very friendly and knowledgeable. They prioritize teaching proper technique and skills which was great for learning new lifts. I cannot recommend CEF enough!

Excellent coaching in all aspect of health and fitness. Whether it's to get stronger, feel better or dropping weight this is the place. Coaches tailor the workouts for you and make you feel comfortable with being uncomfortable. Whether it's personal training or group fitness, they have your back.

Chicago Elite Fitness (Bucktown CrossFit) is an awesome CrossFit gym. I am L1 certified, used to coach part time before I moved to Chicago, and have been CrossFitting for 4 years. I have been to plenty of CrossFit gyms and I would say Bucktown CrossFit is one of the most welcoming for all levels. I am an RX athlete and the workouts are challenging, there is plenty of space in open gym if you want to do your own programming or Olympic lifting. They communicate cycles in advance, post workouts ahead of time, and use the StreamFit app which is user friendly. All of the coaches are knowledgeable and really make an effort to get to know each athlete. It is in a warehouse type space so the ceilings are really high which is great for rings and ropes. The gym is dog friendly which is nice. All dogs are on leash and owners are required to vaccuum/clean up where they have their dogs so it remains clean. They host community events almost monthly (friendsgiving, Christmas party, ski trip, a night out to a show, etc.) so plenty of ways to engage with other members inside and outside of the gym. It is priced similarly to other CrossFit gyms in Chicago and there is an added option to have 24 hour access if you want to work out after hours. Highly recommend this gym to anyone :)

Great box loved the event they were putting on for the Out Foundation. Everyone was super friendly and were welcoming to my first time participating in the burpee-thon.

Managed to fit in 7 session of my 10 pre paid sessions during my 5 week visit to Chicago. Staff very friendly and inviting. Great environment and facilities for open gym or group cross fit. I hope to get back here again in the future. Cheers guys. Robbo.

I came in for a first class to check it out and I really think I found what I'm seeking. As a runner whom is trying to bounce back from a summer injury, I like that the cardio is still present but not dominant in the sessions. Great atmosphere, not just from coaches ..from the people attending too. And this is a great, welcoming factor.
