I've been going to Base 13 for 4 months, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the experience. 🌟 Initially, I planned to go just once a week due to my limited free time, but after the first week, I noticed so many benefits that I now go three times a week. The equipment is top-notch and well-maintained, with a wide variety of options for all types of workouts, from cardio to strength training. I like to mix up my routine with small-group personal training ( up to 4 people) and Build/Blast sessions (up to 8 people), which have helped me feel stronger and more energised.💪 I attend Balance sessions to relax and stretch my muscles, which are a perfect way to unwind. Plus, booking classes are super easy through their app, so I can always choose what I feel like doing on a given day. What really stands out are the highly qualified coaches and the supportive community. There are plenty of activities, challenges, nutrition guidance, and regular body scans to track progress and celebrate milestones. Even small gestures, like coaches remembering your name from day one or receiving a birthday gift, make you feel like you're part of something bigger—a new, healthier lifestyle. 🤩 Less

I joined Base 13 at the start of this year and love love love it! The coaching team are fantastic - supportive, encouraging and push you to achieve your goals. I find the mix of SGPT and classes nicely varied, as the programming is very well thought through. The timetable is pretty extensive and the equipment is excellent quality. I cant forget to mention the community that Henry and his team have built, with really friendly and welcoming members! There are regular opportunities to socialise, whether it is a ‘fun’ social or fitness competition. There’s definitely something for everyone, every level of fitness and every interest! If you are looking for a gym in Lewisham, Hither Green, Blackheath, Lee area, it has to be Base 13. When i joined, i was simply looking for a gym near me and the offer of small group training. I joined Base13 over a year ago and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Having been a serial cardio junkie, joining this gym is helping me to build my strength in a way that works for me, helping protect me from injury so I can continue to enjoy a range of exercise for years to come. The quality and experience of instructors is next level and the support and attention you receive as a member is the best I’ve experienced of any gym near me. Alongside the real sense of community and fun there’s a space for anyone here regardless of age, fitness level or interest. The value you get from being a member exceeds any other gym I’ve attended over the years - I highly recommend! Less

If you are having any doubts at all about joining a gym, then take my example - I’m an out-of-shape guy in his 40’s who has never previously been to a gym, and I’ve had an absolute blast since joining. Both the trainers and the members are incredibly welcoming of newbies, and the trainers really know their stuff to guide you in. The Base 13 group has a real community vibe. Truly excellent and highly recommended! The small group sessions are ideal if (like me) you have never set foot in a gym before, and the coaches are happy to tailor movements to all levels of experience and ability. The emphasis on strength training is great; I had never used weights before and I am now happily lifting! Less
