March 2026...Indoor session on a Saturday morning. The simulator setup has large bays, some with couches and chairs, others with stand-up countertops and stools. We were able to get right into the sim, and the walk-through/talk-through setup was concise and easy to understand. We played one of the available courses, TPC Scottsdale, with 6 foot gimme putting. The simulator does fairly well to keep up with the action, with only a few non-reads of the golf ball, which could've been user error. The virtual putting was the most challenging aspect to gauge distances and we had quite a few putts that ran long followed by more putts that went beyond the 6-foot gimme zone. Frustrating but not outrageous. Next time, it may be just as effective to do a range or targeted session rather than a competitive round. We booked for 2 hours, but only made it through 12 out of 18 holes before our session was up. That was disappointing, given how much the bay cost to rent, but also falls to user-error as we weren't exactly trying to speed through the round, either. The indoor putting green is a nice touch to practice. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the local pro explained how his lessons workout. Will definitely be going back and, given that 4 of the other simulators were in use while we were there, so will others!
