I've loved coming here for years for traditional Thai massage. I've had many different massage therapists and its obvious they are all well trained. They apply just the right amount of pressure and pay close attention to your specific needs. I had hip surgery a few years ago so that hip is much less flexible than the other, but I always feel safe during the massage because the therapist stretches just until the perfect point of resistance. For the Thai massage they give you a large t-shirt and Thai fisherman pants to put on. Like other Thai massage places, the treatment rooms are separated by curtains, so you can hear some murmurs from other treatment areas but mostly you hear the relaxing music and the burbling fountain. The spa always has a light incense smell and the whole vibe is relaxing. Before Covid, they used to give you hot tea and fruit after your massage and I definitely miss that. But the prices are very reasonable and I like that I can book online, plus I always find meter parking on Beverly. Less

I got a gift certificate for El Leon Spa for my partner to celebrate our anniversary, and we booked the couples spa. I will say the studio is very serene and relaxing, definitely the vibes we wanted. My masseuse had strong hands and I like a firm massage style, he was able to get into some knots in my body and relieve muscle tensions. Love El León! The ambiance is soothing and very clean. Front desk staff always positive and helpful. I work at the computer a lot, workout, and I've found their massages to be the best and relieve that tech neck. Booking is easy online. All n all 10/10. Less

Stunning spa. As someone who's worked in the spa industry for two years, I can definitively say that El Leon is a unique gem. The interior is a MASTERPIECE of design - full of carved wood, ornate doors, plants, fountains, and candles. Another thing that makes this place unique is the specialty practice of Thai massage: where, instead of a massage table, you lie on a mat on the floor while the therapist stretches and pulls all the tight spots. I always leave on cloud 9. They also offer facials with Eminence skincare products, which is a really great organic line focused on sustainability. Overall, really great and unique spa. Definitely a gem when compared to the ultra-modern hotel spas I'm used to. Less
