We visit the Covina area often and will always choose to drop in at AlphaFit. Everyone is so welcoming and treat us like long time members. They have a great location/setup, excellent programming, and the coaches are friendly.

If you’re like me and need someone to tell you what to do, this is the gym for you! 😂I don’t want to wander around a “globo gym” waiting for a machine, trying to figure out what workout to do, or pretending I know what I’m doing. Here, I just show up, the workout is already programmed, the equipment is ready, and I’m told what to do. PERFECT. 😂The coaches and people are amazing, the facility is great, and honestly, it feels like home. Some days I’m so proud of myself just for showing up and then somehow I leave even prouder because I pushed myself harder than I thought I could.Great workouts, great people, lots of laughs, and an awesome community of people who actually care about each other and our local community. This has literally become my extended family!10/10 would recommend. Just show up. We’ll tell you what to do…literally!

Alpha Fit is a state of the art facility that provides top level CrossFit experience for all walks of life. I was uncertain if cross fit would be for me as the equipment and technical body motions can be intimidating. The Coaches at Alpha Fit don’t leave your safety up to chance. The Coaches are trained professionals that genuinely care about the sport and safety of the members. You start off with personal lessons to establish the proper lifting techniques, the coaches are patient and understanding to personal limitations and abilities. I think this gym stands out from the others because of the following: the workout program is powered by NCFIT which is known for it's effectiveness, they have Echo bikes here - part of the top endurance machines in the industry, they use Myzone to track your heart rate real-time on the TV screen, they have classes everyday... even on a Sunday when most other gyms are closed that day, and this gym has great coaches that focus on your form and and technique.

Read this and then get to class: I cannot speak highly enough about the staff of Shield and their members. The coach and an additional staff member (who was ready to leave for the evening) recognized I was new to the gym and took their time to ensure that I was safe through every lift and didn't let me stop until I was done with the workout. As a travelling gym go-er, this is something you won't find regularly. This gym will you bring you back to the basics and you'll thank them each day for their education and inspiration.Call it a gym, call it a workout, call it a burn, but I'll call it a growing family.Can't wait to visit each time I'm in the area.

Honestly, I came back to Covina (my hometown) two years ago after traveling the world and absolutely despised the area because it was so boring. That was until I finally listened to my gut instinct to try out CrossFit, and got lucky to walk into SHIELD. SHIELD isn’t an average, ordinary gym. This place has transformed my life for the better because of all that they offer: great atmosphere, amazingly unique coaches, the members make you feel so welcomed even if you’re an absolute stranger, they constantly encourage you to pursue better habits both in the gym and outside of the gym, the inspiration they provide for their little ones in the children’s room, the laughter and good times they provide.All quality values that not all gyms are capable of providing. This gym transforms you in a better being and changes your mindset. I speak from personal experience. I have now been in Covina for 2 years and can say that becUse of SHIELD, I love this area. I have something to go to after a long, stressful day of work and work on myself, both physically and mentally. I HIGHLY recommend this gym.

Excellent facility, great coaches and an amazing atmosphere! Everyone is so welcoming here that it makes the experience so much more enjoyable. Workouts are challenging but everyone here motivates you and pushes you to be a little better each day. highly recommend this CrossFit box!
