If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I went in for lunch, accompanied by my service dog, and was denied access by a staff member and the manager Elizabeth. They repeatedly asked me for “service dog registration” and I politely explained that a service dog is not required to be registered (and that in fact there is no such thing as an official service dog registry) and that I could not produce the documentation that they wanted. When I attempted to show them the ADA business brief they interrupted me, dismissed me, and refused to allow me into the restaurant. The manager, Elizabeth, refused to listen to me and began to take phone calls as I was in the middle of speaking to her. They refused me and my service dog access in a way that was unlawful and embarrassing. I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant and will not be recommending, especially not to anyone that has a disability and requires special accommodations. This was especially upsetting because I have ordered takeout many many times and have given this restaurant a lot of business. Avoid this place. Less

They've forgotten to add silverware to bag and I make sure to ask if everything is in there, silverware included? I get the response "Everything is there". Once, I ordered papa rellenas and my coworker went to pick up our orders and they told her they were out. So my coworker asked if she could use their business phone to call me and let me know, she was denied. By this point, my coworker was upset at the way the business was being handled and she had a patient to get back to at our office. My coworker said she paid cash for our meals and left. The manager chased her down screaming that she didn't pay. When my coworker got back she was flustered saying that she will never order from that place again. I called Las Vegas and they assured me that my coworker did not pay, so I gave them a credit card over the phone. After work, I drove by there and spoke with who I assumed was the manger, and asked them to count their drawer because my coworker said she paid cash. They told me they couldn't count the drawer right then and I felt as if they "brushed me off". I came back the next business day which was Monday for me and asked if they counted the drawer. I was told my coworker did not pay but I never got an answer on whether they counted the drawer or not. I am a regular customer and you would think they want to keep their recurring customers happy and coming back, but I feel as if they have so much business, that one customer doesn't matter. We enjoy going to Las Vegas on several occasions for the traditional Cuban cuisine. The food is always great. The service is very fast as well. You get a lot of food for a very reasonable price. Try the Lechon Asado which is the roast pork it's wonderful. The portions are very generous. Less

Las Vegas is a good restaurant with good tasting Latin flair. But.... it depends which one you go to. I have eaten at the ones in Miami and because of the experiences I have had I tried the one in Ft. Lauderdale on Oakland Park Blvd. It was the worst experience I have had in a very long time at any restaurant. The server was very polite and courteous but the food was not real Latin food with that... More

The server was very polite and courteous but the food was not real Latin food with that Caribbean flair like the other ones. The true authentic Cuban food like the Las Vegas restaurants advertises. On top of everything I asked to speak with the manager in reference to a request I had and the manager was very rude, in the middle of my request she received a call on her cell, she answered the call and left me half way with my request, not listening to me nor even saying excuse me. When that happened I knew why this location restaurant was empty. Dead giveaway, when you see a restaurant empty, there has to be a reason behind it. It shocked me due to all the other Las Vegas I have been to have been very good. What I got out of all this is not a very pleasant dinner experience and never returning to this location in Oakland Park!!! Less
