There are plenty of totally capable injectors all over the metro area. Most offer memberships that give additional discounts on units or syringes, etc. To make an informed decision, especially when the cost of the membership and the associated discounts are published on the website, you would need to know the non-member/retail cost of the product(s) you'd be paying for - of all the med spas I have called or had injections (Botox) performed, they will tell you the cost per unit immediately, over the phone, in person, online - it's transparency and information needed for someone to plan, and to decide (not on the spot) if a membership would be beneficial. This place refuses to provide the per unit cost (or costs for anything) until you are in their office for your consultation, where they will present the works for how great the membership deals are, etc. If you are an honest business, be open and up front about such a simple question. The unit cost shouldn't change depending on the person (membership excluding from that)...why/how do they classify which patients should pay more and how is that fair, or even an honest business practice. All I asked was the non-member price per unit for Botox, and had to listen to two different (who sounded very fake) 'explain' why they can't talk about prices over the phone. I know you want to sell me a membership, I get it - why would I choose to waste my time at an appointment that could be $2-3/unit more than a spa down the street? It's likely one of the most simple questions about one of the most commonly used products, I provided the exact number of units I get but expressed my understanding that that will continue to change, and that I just wanted to know the non-member price...what does the 10% off member price do when they won't tell you any pricing? It's a crumby way to handle business, very used car salesperson, just trying to get you in the door so you're spending your time and don't want to waste it, plus being pushed toward the magical membership, when it's all probably higher than nearby med spas. If they didn't have anything to hide, they should be upfront, respect peoples' time and their right to make decisions or plans. Big red flag. I've been coming to the spa for years. I've tried a lot of the services, even pedicures, and have always been pleased. I'm pretty picky as a trained cosmetology teacher, and they've not let me down. There aren't too many places I trust in the beauty industry, but Ooh La La Spa is top of my list.
