Guest Walker Solicitors

We had an offer accepted on a home with zero chain at the end of February 2025. We were aiming to complete by the end of May - seemingly plenty of time - but due to various delays, we ended up completing in mid-June instead. Initially, we felt very positive about Guest Walker as they initiated searches quickly and communicated well in the beginning. However, further into the process, it felt like we were less of a priority and sometimes we would receive forwarded documents with no context or covering email. At one point, there was a key issue identified through the enquiries that meant we required a minimum of 14 days between exchange and completion. We spotted this issue before our solicitor (despite our solicitor having the documents for nearly a week at that point) and it meant we could no longer complete in May. Without me chasing all sides towards the end of the process, I don't believe we would have completed in mid-June either. All to say, I was disappointed in the overall process and whilst some of the delays were a result of the seller's solicitors, I consider that Guest Walker were also partly to blame in some instances.
