I left this review on what I think is MSW's main office in Jane Lew...? I will leave it here as well because I think these guys are the ones actually picking our trash up... It is refreshing to deal with a company that does exactly what they say they are going to do! I have nothing but good things to say about MSW. We moved into a new home and signed up for trash collection with another company (blue & red color scheme...) at the recommendation of our HOA; SIX WEEKS later and not one article of garbage had been collected. Our neighbors shrugged it off "Yeah, they miss us a lot, you just have to call and have them pick it up." SEVERAL phone calls later -- still no trash collection! To make matters worse, we got our first bill in the mail for service we had never, ever received. Fed up, I googled trash collection, found and called Mountain State Waste on a Monday, set up service and had garbage collected on Saturday -- exactly what I was told would happen. No more headaches or calls to customer service, just plain-ole receiving a service that I pay for.. and in 2024 that is almost a miracle in itself Less

I can't say enough about the crew who collects in my neighborhood. Monday is our designated collection day, but our street was being paved yesterday; so they couldn't come down our street to collect. Their price for trash pickup is way too much I currently pay $108 for three months and I just got a letter in the mail saying that they are raising prices by another $30.20 my brother has waste management and he only pays $58 for three months

Don't bother applying as a driver to this company. They lie and lead you to believe you will only drive then turn around and have you throwing trash. Alot of double standards.

The trash truck comes to empty the dumpster outside of the Residence Inn hotel 3x a week before 4am in a busy residential area. They slam the dumpsters and then loudly reverse the entire length of the parking lot waking up the whole neighborhood. I’ve called multiple times and I understand that the trucks need to come early, but before 4am is ridiculous.

My neighbor will tell me they were right up road as his dad’s house gets picked up. Something needs to be done and I’m sick to death of being told “well it may be a substitute driver!” Well train your subs. Service is awful. And billing is all off, since this company took over. When the switch was made, 3 months were added on our bill and services hadn't even begun. They leave trash around cans, throw your empty cans wherever. Then u have to look to see which can is yours! Main thing is the confusion of$100+ bill billed 3 months in Advance !

Service is absolutely horrible. Pick ups are not consistent. You get different information from different workers. I was told my pick up day was changed to Saturday, but really it’s still Fridays, so we haven’t had garbage pick up for almost a month. If you’re looking for a reliable garbage company, MSW is not the ones you want to go with.

The whole month of January, our trash hasn't been picked up from all the residents that live on the road. Every time you call they keep saying trash will be picked up the next day it doesn't. Shouldn't have to pay for this whole month!

They are super nice when dealing with the people in the office but not so much with the ones collecting the trash. We haven't had a pick-up for the entire month of January so far.

Service is OK. They seem to be a little rough with the machine that actually picks up the can. One time they knocked the sign off the mailbox. Once they knocked the lamp off the mailbox. These were easily fixed, but I think we'll be setting the can on the other side of the driveway from now on.

They are a little more expensive than others, but they always get trash at 4:30 am every Thursday. Sometimes they forget me on recycle day, but will grad it the next week. Staff in office has so far been very kind and helpful

When you pick up the garbage a day late or a week late, you must reimburse u s via credit on our account. Otherwise u shdnt be able to charge us late fees.

I have never had any problems with MSW. I have forgotten to put the garbage out and then the following week there would be a copious amount of trash, but they have never said a word. They send me letters so that I am aware of when they are picking up during holidays. They are a great company.

Best trash service around. They hardly ever miss, and when they do they will make a trip to pick it up even if it's not the day they run in your area. We just started the service. Our trash has not been picked up for two weeks. They were supposed to send someone out after the first missed pick up and they never did. However, our account shows that we were serviced on all of the days that were missed. Very disappointed.

They have all ways been good about taking my garbage until lately. My bill is paid in full and yet my garbage wasn't picked up.

Ordered a dumpster got it fast and easy. But when I needed it changed out. No one wanted to give me answers. Two days now and has yet to be changed out. No calls saying that they would not be coming. Wasted two days just waiting around and still nothing.

I've seen and heard a driver of trash truck hollering and cussing out traffic for going around when was stopped picking up trash for a customer. And traffic had time to go around. We rented a dumpster from mountain state waste. They charged us $1679, delivered to the wrong house and refused to give us ANY refund. Fortunately I disputed with my bank to get money back.

I've been with this company for at least 20 years. During which I've had a few things go wrong. Worst being without service for 4 weeks before it was worked out. Me on the phone every other day with them. Finally they sent me stickers to put on my bags. Been easier to ask before you stop the service. Other than that, no problems.

We have been with them since they were Weston transfer and we couldn't ask for better service and their drivers are professional and courteous.

MSW is very courteous. They always pick up on time and if something happens, they make it right immediately. Great choice!

Never could get a call back to set up trash service, had to call multiple times to get set up. Have been waiting on a tote for over two weeks . Still have no idea when i can get one but am being charged for it.

They like taking your money but don't wanna pick up the trash 4 place to stop up on my mountain and they skip mine everytime I call they will get it next week then they drive right on by

I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and they did not get my trash. The following two weeks I set my trash out, they still failed to pick up my trash. I have now gone a total of 4 weeks not having my trash picked up. I would not recommend using MSW. They are too expensive and their work ethic is pitiful.

I have weekly service with this company. Too many times, the driver goes right past my house and never stops. I pay for WEEKLY pick up. Why isn’t my trash picked up when I put it in the bin?! If I was late paying my bill, I’d have a late fee and/or no service. There are no repercussions when I pay my bill and get no service. If you have a choice, I suggest you use a different company.

MSW has been so helpful, efficient and timely with our requests for numerous large item pickup. And you get two large additional items per month. The customer service is exceptional and the staff are very responsive.

Very satisfied with MSW, always on time, professional and helpful office staff, and the collectors go the extra step to collect everything. It is important for the customer to follow the directions of the process for appliance and furniture pickup, be considerate. Thanks!

On hold to update auto payment info and then directed to leave message and I’ll get a callback. It would have been nice to do this update on a web page. Would have been a lot easier and quicker. Lousy customer service.

When you pay for a service, you expect the service to be consistent. I don't want excuses; I just want the trash removed.

Always billing me for previous month! I pay early as soon as bill comes! Im going to call public service commissioner! Fed up with excuses they give!!

This is by far the best trash removal company in our area. They are quick to reply with answers and easy to schedule special pick ups. Especially love the recycle option.

I have a question regarding my commercial invoice I have called and left messages for the last 3 days, I have yet to receive a call back. I pay my bill quarterly. I should have a 0 balance some how I have a an extra pick up fee from January that I did not call for. Could someone PLEASE call me back. Thank you

This company is a joke. It's sad there isn't an alternative. Maybe they will do their bulk pickup that was scheduled two weeks ago, in the next month.

Thank you MSW workers for getting my trash and my neighbors today. I read the post wrong and thought they were picking up Saturday and when they pulled up today they went and got both of ours. That was above and beyond good service 😉

Originally, I signed up with Cummings, then MSW bought them. My bill went from 18.25 a month to 20.40, despite being told it would not change. I called and told them I would be switching, the lady was rude and said “that’s not a bad price , that’s what it’s gonna be”.

She is ready to contract a new company, but she has already paid for the next three months and says she won't be able to get her money back. My bill is paid up and yet they havent picked up my garbage in 2 weeks. I now have animals getting into my garbage and it's making a huge mess. I don't think there is another garbage company I can switch to either. Highly unhappy with mountain state waste right now.

I have a new appreciation for my trash men. they have surprised me a few times when I have had to put a few more bags out than normal and even more than a few. They have taken my bags each time. Ty for making cleaning out kids rooms easier.

Boss in garage treats ppl unfair and is disrespectful.Fires employees without a good reason ! And they fire employees that ACTUALLY do their job good and worked hard at it.

They have been very professional in every dealing. I did receive the wrong schedule for recycling last year, but they did send someone to get my recycling once we figured out what happened. I don't think they've ever missed a refuse pickup, and they will also pick up large items.
