What an experience it has been so far at The Lift Department. Everyone is so welcoming; the workouts are so good but also deadly at times and the challenges definitely help with the summer bodies everyone wants. Ever since I joined the TLD team, Jorge has been on my case about tidying up my lifting technique by doing one of his fundamental lifting sessions to learn how to breathe and brace. I have been putting it off for months as I have quite a busy schedule, however, I recently did a session with him and WOW what a difference it has made. Prior to this session, my main priority was to lift heavy weights however, I often got carried away with increasing the weight and losing technique rather than focusing on improving my technique to improve my overall lifting performance. However, after my session with Jorge, he educated me on the importance of breathing and bracing and how much of an impact it has on my range with squatting, deadlifts etc. Performing a squat or deadlift now with the proper technique has allowed me to feel more stable and confident in my lifting abilities. My focus now has shifted from lifting heavy weights to focusing on improving my technique, which has allowed me to target muscle groups more effectively, to enhance my lifting capabilities in the long run. I would definitely recommend doing Jorge's fundamentals sessions, even if you think you don't need help, because I can assure you now Jorge will change the way you view lifting, which will benefit you dramatically.
