This is the most disgusting place in Gunbarrell. The chicken taste like it was fried with the fish. People have fish allergies and you can't use the same cooking oil. Cochrans will say they don't do this but there is no other reason the chicken taste like it's fried in fish oil.

I spoke to the manager and he told me just go ahead I told him I will leave the cups and he told me that Nobody lips would touch that cup after I touched it! The discrimination and prejudice in this establishment is disgusting. The saddest part is that it was done by other minorities. I’m giving 2 stars because everytime I get get a meal with a salad they put the salad in the same box as my food and it gets all steamy from the heat having soggy lettuce salad is no fun I love salad I expect them to use a separate container even after I always ask them to. Delicious and affordable home cooking with a friendly atmosphere. The tea is always refreshing and there is a variety of vegetables to choose from. The hidden gem is their old fashioned cheeseburger. We even ran into Deion Sanders on a previous visit.

Horrible place to get something to eat . the rudest lady ever to meet. We ordered a family meal for 3 people and she would only give us two plates. Two plates so me and my son had to share a paper plate cause she would only give us two plates. That is ridiculous. Never will we go back there to eat.

Best place to have a Cafe meal. The owners are so kind and they always have the best staff. Their fish is amazing and the chicken is always fresh. Many don't know this but the hamburgers are so good with the waffles fries 😋 I always have some mayo with my fries and they don't even make fun of me. Lol

Staff was tired and rude. Food was just okay. Husband ordered hamburger steak, fried okra, and brussel sprouts. Steak was just okay. Fried okra not worth eating. I ordered a taco salad, large. It was very large. They had no salsa (my preferred topping for a taco salad). Half the lettuce was wilted. I will not be back.

Disgusting! I just paid $15 for lunch that I threw in the trash. Chicken fried steak was soggy and swimming in white gravy; I guess to cover up the fact that it was fried in old, nasty grease. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and still had skin in them, the pea salad was probably the worst I've ever eaten... peas were crunchy! Don't waste your money!

I really like the fried catfish here. I actually live in Dallas county and my sister lives in Mabank and when I get to come down to visit I always try to buy a box of catfish. It isn't overly salty which is great for me because I like less and to me it's seasoned just right. The service is also pretty quick. I wish we had a Cochran's closer to us, that would be great.
