It was up some miles. The technician also asked if he could take my vehicle to the mall, which was a very weird request. My clock was set to a time zone across the world, my radios were touched. All of my stations were wiped clean, all of my settings in my vehicle down to my chairs were messed with the owner is very sketchy. Left my car with them over 5 weeks ago now, contact was intermittent I pretty much had to call to get any updates after 3 weeks, now I can not get a single call back after several days of calling all their numbers listed I can find and leaving messages for call back. I reached out to this company after my car was damaged by hail and was disappointed right off the bat. Before handing over my vehicle, I pointed out three areas that were missing paint and advised the sales guy that I wanted these areas addressed. He acknowledged my request and said they would do what they could. I advised him that I discussed these areas with my adjuster and that my adjuster also acknowledged my request. My disappointment started when the shop/sales guy did not communicate that a scheduled virtual inspection did not take place and I had to reach out to them for status updates. The response I received stated that an estimate was sent instead (okay, no big deal but still I believe that should have been communicated). The advisor continued to inform me that the shop did not submit for all the work on the vehicle because it would "total" my car. Um, what?! When I called to discuss this I was told that this was standard for this shop because that's how they get "paid." Shocked by his response I called the owner, the owner basically said the same thing and stated that I was asking him to commit insurance fraud. As an individual who deals with storm restoration insurance claims daily, I am well versed on what hail/storm damage is and know that I am well within my rights to ask for this. Upset by the lack of integrity the shop portrayed, I told the owner I would like to pick up my vehicle. His response was he was unsure if my car was assembled. Again, WHAT?! The vehicle was damaged by hail and was not in a car accident, confused by the response I reached out to another company who explained this is not standard practice but a technique likely used to make sure I could not pick up the vehicle (my adjuster also confirmed that this is not standard practice). Sure enough, when I went by later that day my car had been disassembled and the shop guys stated that the situation was all a big misunderstanding and that all damages were sent to the adjuster. When I spoke to my adjuster, he confirmed that the shop did not include the damages that I had requested and that he would be reaching out to the shop to get this added, and that it would likely total my car. To bring a close to a long story, my car was totaled and my insurance company had to negotiate egregious charges from the shop to get my car back. Oh, and when I picked it up, it was not properly reassembled making my taillight light non-functional and I had to go back to get it corrected. I understand that not everyone wants their car totaled but to operate the way they currently are shows a lack of integrity and that at the end of the day they will do what is best for them regardless of what is best for the vehicle owner. By far the best and EASIEST experience I've had with an auto repair shop in my 20 yrs of driving. Rocco was amazing! Very professional and courteous and kept me informed every step of the way. They offered a loaner vehicle and picked up AND brought back my truck looking as good as it did when I first bought it. Great service and amazing work! Took SUV to get door repaired after a run-in with my garage. Body shop gave estimate of over $4k and 5 days in the shop, but Dentpicks was able to do it for just over $1k, in and out the same day.
