I previously had an excellent experience at Dental Bosques with Dr. Goldberg and Katrina (whose last name I unfortunately don’t recall). They placed a few onlays and a temporary bridge, and the care was thoughtful, collaborative, and thorough—so much so that I was eager to return for follow-up treatment.Unfortunately, I was informed that Dr. Goldberg was no longer with the practice, and after three separate attempts to get in touch with a new provider, I was connected with Dr. Mitrani. My experience with him was the opposite of what I’d come to expect from this clinic. He was condescending and dismissive from the start. When I explained the treatment plan that had been discussed during my last visit (which included a permanent bridge and resin for a front tooth), he seemed immediately offended that I was advocating for myself. He said he wouldn’t agree to the plan because he “had to protect his reputation.” The response felt bizarre and unnecessarily defensive, especially since the treatment I requested was standard and previously recommended by his own colleagues.Frankly, it felt like he took issue with a female patient being informed and assertive. That kind of machismo is rare to encounter so blatantly in a professional setting. It’s disappointing, because the rest of the staff at Dental Bosques has always been excellent—but Dr. Mitrani left a terrible impression.
