If you've been thinking about prioritizing yourself and your health; no more excuses, just do it. I swan dived 18 months ago, and I have zero regrets. At 47, I have built muscle, built bone, made new friends, and challenged my status quo. I may not know how to sew, knit, or play the piano, but I can dead hang for over 2 minutes, farmer's carry 75% of my body weight, and I outperformed my friends who challenged me to a handstand competition in the hotel hobby (yes, this happened). It's important to have goals and priorities-- I can easily lift and carry a huge bag of dog food, and most times I can get all of the groceries in the house in one trip. Most importantly, I laugh at something Coach Daniel says at every 12:15 class, thus releasing a cocktail of beneficial neurotransmitters and hormones which reduces the level of stress-related chemicals in my bloodstream.
