This is a great club and I'm glad I found it for my daughter. The instructors are great and always make time to answer any questions I have, they go at my daughter's pace and always have her best interests at heart. This club teaches my daughter discipline and confidence and she has done so well in preparing for the gradings that she has done so far.

I wanted to update my review, it has been nearly two years since I wrote my review, myself and my two sons have progressed so much that I am now preparing for my black belt and my oldest son is a 2nd Dan and my youngest will be going for his this coming autumn. We have enjoyed attending many competitions throughout the UK, supported by fellow students and James, who as a 4x world champion has the knowledge to help develop the skills and help improve our techniques. I would recommend JRMA to all who who are looking for a new way to get fit both mentally and physically and to meet new people who will become long lasting friends. What are you waiting for!! This club is fantastic ! Both of my sons attend the club (both now black belts) and have learned so much and achieved great things both in physical accomplishments in competitions, and mental discipline through their journey. In fact I was so impressed that I too joined and have gained so much from my time there. Highly recommended

Highly recommend this club for anyone interested in Taekwondo, either kids or adults. Great teachers, great atmosphere and fantastic communications have all created a community vibe that is hard to match.

James and his team are honestly first class. Our older son has been going for a couple of years and his confidence and focus has massively improved - in every part of his life. His younger brother started Ninja Kidz less than a year ago and loves it too! The team are so professional and disciplined, but manage to keep the classes fun and engaging for all ages. Its the one class our kids never moan about attending!

Our daughter has been attending these classes for the last 2 years and we can easily say that it is by far the most professional, loving and supportive team you could dream coaching and teaching your kid! Through the classes we noticed improved confidence, balance and dexterity! James and his team are super professional, and they genuinely care for the kids. My 5 year old son has been at this class for a year and loves it. The class is very well organised.. All instructors are excellent and the class is good fun while teaching them the principles of discipline and respect. My son loves it and ask me every day when I have Tae kwon- do dad. I have seen my son's balance, strength, confidence to improve and to care more for other kids and sharing. The really care about the students and your kids. I would highly recommend this class.

James Reed Martial Arts is the best club around and to see Leo's growth and development since he joined a few years ago now is amazing! His confidence has grown and his discipline and respect also. Its a great club with great members / kids and to watch him enjoy it is great! He has now progressed to a Junior Leader and is loving it! Love he is part of this club and watching him progress in all ways!

My daughter Aria has been attending James Reed Martial Arts at Rutherglen for nearly two years and it’s the only club she has stayed at for so long. MarieAnne and Mr Miller are her instructors who are friendly and supportive to the parents and children being fair and knowledgeable making the sessions about learning while adding fun aspects e.g warm up games. They don’t only teach taekwondo but the importance of self control and discipline which is key to learn at her early school age. The graduations are well planned and the students are made to feel at ease with all instructors. Aria had her first grading at 5 years old, she was very nervous with the crowd of parents watching and didn’t want to do the routine. MarieAnne knew she practised it during previous classes so she then showed Mr Reed on her own which helped massively and meant she passed her grading. This sincerity shown from the instructors that day really stood out to me. Aria has grown in confidence and progressed so much through the years attending James Reed Martial Arts so I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

One of the best decisions l have ever made in life was taking my daughter to join James Reed Taekwando. She has been going since she was 6 and it's a huge part of her life. She is now 12 and she is a black belt and also part of the Junior Leader Team. It's not only taught her a new skill that she will carry with her through life, it's also been so beneficial for things like confidence and respect for others. l can honestly say you will not meet a better bunch of instructors - James, Mel, MarieAnne and Grant are all fantastic and invest so much time in the kids and their progress. l would recommend if your looking to learn a new skill or you want your child to, then look no further than James Reed Taekwando

My son has attended the club for almost a year. He looks forward to it every week and loves going to class. When he first started he had real problems concentrating or following instruction and now he is about to do his second grading which I never thought would be possible when he first started. The care and professionalism given to each child and the group as a whole is phenomenal. My boy is learning lots of new skills and discipline. All coaches are amazing with the kids and with such young classes this can be difficult. Nothing is too much hassle, very accommodating if you need to change a class etc and great communication with parents. Highly recommend this school thank you to you all

Our daughter has now been training with James Reed for six years and has enjoyed every minute of her time there. The thing that has always stood out to us about the club is, how well planned the lessons are. The lessons are varied but most of all they are fun and the level of expertise is outstanding. The club has made a real positive impact on our daughter, developing both her confidence and social skills immensely. She has been given opportunities to compete in national championships with the highlight for her being, participation in the World Championships for the first time this year. I cannot recommend this club highly enough to anyone looking to participate in a martial art. Mr Reed and his coaching team are absolutely fantastic instructors but more importantly, they are all great people.

My son started TKD during lockdown attending the online classes which he really enjoyed. Since in person classes have started my son has grown in confidence and looks forward to his classes. James and his team are very welcoming and super supportive to all who attend.I would highly recommend these classes to build confidence, make friends and learn new skills!
