I was in Camrose for work and decided to drop in and train at MVM Academy and I’m really glad I did.From the moment I walked in, the team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely passionate about jiu-jitsu. The instruction was top-notch, with great attention to detail, and they made sure everyone no matter their level was learning and improving. I picked up a lot during my time there, both technically and in terms of mindset.The atmosphere was positive, respectful, and focused. You can tell they’ve built a strong culture where people push each other while still supporting one another.If I lived here, I would absolutely bring my kids to train here as well that’s how much I trust the environment and the coaching.If you’re in Camrose and looking for a place to train jiu-jitsu, I highly recommend MVM Academy. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Visited MVM outside of my regular club training. Everyone was very welcoming. Their black belt instructor, Ryan, was readily available for assistance when I needed. Overall great vibe. Will definitely be back.

My son has trained here with coach Ryan for 10 years. He speaks so highly of him and the other coaches. Ryan is a great role model and extremely knowledgeable. Definitely recommend anyone who wants to train MMA to go here!

Recently got to train at the new location and it is absolutely top notch. All the coaches there are extremely knowledgeable and take great pride in making their students better. If you are looking to do one on one training or with a class, this is absolutely the gym to go to. Highly recommend!!

I started training at MVM in September and have had an incredible experience. Coaches Ryan and Colwyn are both very experienced competitors and have improved my grappling tremendously over the short amount of time I’ve been here. Everyone at the gym is very welcoming and I would recommend MVM to people of all ages looking to give martial arts a try!

Wonderful experience! They were super kind to my goddaughter, who was visiting Camrose and trains in Brazil. Everyone was very welcoming, and she joined an all-girls class. My husband and I were able to watch, which made it a really nice experience for all of us and a special part of her time in Camrose. The coach and the other girls were great with her, and Coach Ryan was awesome throughout all the communication. Highly recommend!

This gym is wonderful. All the coaches are friendly and knowledgeable, and they really make an effort to make sure that everyone is comfortable. We put our youngest kid in BJJ to help build her confidence and help her burn energy. Since we have enrolled our Daughter, not only has she really come out of her shell in terms of personality, but she has gained friends in class, and has gotten close with one of the coaches (Jewels), whom she adores! I love knowing that my kid is not only having fun, but is learning a valuable life skill, and, potentially gaining a life long habit that will keep her fit and safe. Although she struggles building up the courage to go to class every week, she pushes through her fears (part of the practice, in my opinion) and has fun every time she attends. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I highly recommend MVM Academy. I’ve enrolled my son for Jiu Jitsu and he’s been very excited to train each day. The coaches and professor are very warm in welcoming us. They have been very thorough and fun at the same time in teaching kids. On top of learning martial arts, he’s learned discipline and felt a sense of camaraderie. I’ve never seen my son so dedicated into something until he got into Jiu Jitsu through this Academy. So if you are looking for a place in Camrose for your kids, check them out.

I would recommend anyone to train at this gym! Ryan is very knowledgable, a great instructor, and passionate about what he does. Everyone I met was very welcoming and great to roll with. The facility itself is clean with lots of mat space. Looking forward to visits in the future!

This has been my best jujitsu experience. Being able to train at a gym that balances the technical aspect and the community aspect was very much needed for me as I began my martial arts journey! I definitely recommend the gym, coaches, and training partners here!

This gym is awesome!! The coach’s and trainers are very skilled and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I am new to combat sports and was a little nervous getting started but once I got in there I felt apart of something bigger then just me. Great place to train no matter what your level is. Fun lessons, Great coaching, and challenging yet friendly competition. Started a little under 2 weeks ago, still leaving me always excited to go back to test myself both physically and mentally. And to be taught something new, whether from Coach Ryan's demos or every tap I go through. Interested to try out all the martial arts provided, or even the perfect equipment available for a good workout.

I went here for the first time this week on a trip from Ontario and had an amazing time. Facilities are clean and welcoming, staff are friendly and welcomed me with open arms. I felt very safe and welcomed, especially as a first timer. Ryan and Aaron were fantastic with ensuring I was being safe and learning lots during my session. Would certainly come back again when I return for another trip!
