I've been going to Progressive Eye Care since they opened, their staff are extremely experienced and friendly I always leave with a smile on my face

I strongly recommend Progressive Eye Care. They got me in same-day, and I had a great experience with everyone on the staff who I interacted with. Everyone was courteous and professional, and they took the time to answer all my questions.

Honestly I was not pleased. The doctor and staff were all fine but unfortunately they only do consultations for lasik then they refer you to another facility. I wish they made that clear because I feel like I wasted 1.5 hours.

So expensive! After paying what I was told was the full balance of nearly $800 for eye exam and glasses, per person for my husband and kid we were billed additional amounts 6 months later and I was told the balance I had paid was just the glasses, not the exam. $1600+ is too much for two pairs of glasses.

I really like their doctors and their customer service, but three times over the past few years, they've completely forgotten to order my trial contacts, and when I'm on my last pair, it really stresses me out

We received the glasses after 2.5 weeks and then found they are charging 50$ for faster delivery!! although their initial promised timeline was 2-3 weeks so glasses arrived within the regular timeframe but they still asking for 50$ faster shipping, how funny they are! - Discussed this with them and after too much argument they reduced what they call faster delivery to 25$ - We scheduled an appointment to discuss myopia progression, this was scheduled as CONSULTATION vision, few weeks later I found they are charging me through insurance for this visit and when I discussed with them they said yes it was consultation vision but because the doctor did some exams we have billed you as regular visit, I argued if they are changing the visit type then I should have been notified in advance!!!!! - During the visit I got the impression that dr Breadhead is forcing us to use some myopia control methods and he started to talk about the cost of each, he said you should start the treatment RIGHT NOW. I didn't agree to start that until I do my own researches. Then to find that only one out of the 3 methods offered is FDA approved, other 2 are not because of insufficient studies, he didn't explain about that - I have seen another doctor at another clinic to discuss such myopia progression options and that doctor said I wouldn't start the treatment right now before having some stats on the myopia progression rate, which I felt make more sense and honest. I feel scammed at this office, charged extra for faster shipping that never happened, and changing visit type and charging me for that without discussing in advance! worst experience ever. I never recommend this office to anyone Update ====== Out of honesty, I have to mentioned that I got a call from Dr Broadhead and he expressed how sorry he is for the experience I had, he agreed on where I am coming from, and apologized about any inconvenience and all the miscommunication done by his team and promised to make it right by talking to the office finance manager. Been going to progressive for years now but doesn’t seem to be as good since they moved buildings. Staff doesn’t do their job. Dr Chism is great but the staff didn’t send a referral; I had to call days later to ask about it. Two plus weeks later I called to ask about my new contacts “it was missed, I’ll order them now”. Disappointing!

Amazing facility and awesome staff

When they hand you the tablet and say just make sure your basic information is correct, MAKE SURE YOU READ EVERYTHING! They will sneak in extra procedure cost! It’s not just your BASIC information. Progressive Eye Care, no need to give a response, I paid the price for others who read this review as a warning, that there is no conversation of additional charges before procedure.

Such a great experience! I went in with a scratched cornea and they saw me right away! I am so impressed with these guys!

Had to make an emergency appointment for a speck of metal lodged in my cornea. The staff handled me with the utmost patience and care. They were efficient, kind, personable, and quick. When I got my new glasses, my right eye did not see as clearly as I would like for distance. Progressive Eye Care treated me respectfully and got me back into see the doctor for no charge. I got a slightly modified prescription.

All the staff and Dr Chism were just superb. They were thorough and responsive to my needs. They listened to me to show they cared. Helpful and cheerful as well!

The doctor and staff were very awesome! After the exam we looked at glasses. I'm 65 and on a fixed income. I was truly sad when they told me over $600 for one pair. They told me that was my part after insurance. I don't have that kind of money. They were kind enough to print my prescription for me. I must now find cheap glasses somewhere. Sure wish I could gave gotten them there!

Dr. Hope was amazing. Really took care of my daughter and me. We didn't feel rushed in any way. Unfortunately, the support staff struggles with know what they are doing. I believe they need more training in working with and biilling insurance. It is frustrating, especially when it has happened 2 years in a row.

They got me in within 30 minutes of calling same day cause I had metal in my eye. The front staff / dr were all very welcoming and knowledgable, had an awesome experience and glad they got me fixed up so quick.

I have Keratoconus. Progressive Eye care has been the only place to get my prescriptions tight. I’ve work with Dr. Broadhead and Dr. Hope and have been absolutely grateful for their thorough work and patience in helping me get the right prescription. The staff there is second to none. Overpriced and wasn't up front about costs. I paid for my visit then got another bill months later. The doctor that performed the eye exam for my prescription was not friendly. I tried talking to him to pass the time but he was not responsive. Assistants and eye glass sales people were friendly though. Unfortunately, their glasses are horribly overpriced.

Doctors are good and experienced. The only thing I don't like is everytime I go here I feel like they are nickel and diming me for things. They do a mapping of your eyes and don't every tell you before they do it that you will be charged separately from your insurance out of pocket for this. I don't like that they aren't forthcoming with their extra costs. The last place I went to they gave me a script for glasses and contacts and I wasn't charged extra. I'm gonna continue to look for a different place to get my eyes checked with in the future. Less

Love this place! My husband and kids have been going here and I was impressed from their experiences. My youngest had an issue with the muscles in her eyes and they were great about explaining the prescription she was getting and reassuring us it wasn't a bigger issue. I have been going through another doctor - one of the "big guys" in the game since having surgery 7 years ago and have had the hardest time getting them to actually listen to me - the end goal with them was to spend more money and have more surgery... well, within an hour at progressive the staff and Dr. Brodhead listened to me, heard me and helped me!! I left feeling like my issue had been resolved and reassured that my eyes didn't have some of the costly issues the other guys kept leaning toward but could never really justify. I felt like I got better care and a more in depth visit then I ever did at my "other doctor." Overall, impressed with the staff and the facility and loved the one stop shop. Thanks guys!! Less

They never billed my insurance for an exam that was covered. Didn't bother to tell me. Never sent me a bill. No mail, email, call, NO communication attempt with me about it. Then I got a collections notice for a bill I didn't even know I owed. I called them about this issue and no one ever called me back about it. Unethical, shady business practice. Take your business elsewhere.

Best eye care my husband and I have ever had! Dr Chism and Dr Broadhead as well as their staff are always fantabulous! I don’t have enough good things to say about Progressive Eye Care! We may have a 25 minute drive from where we live, but it is hands down worth it! Our eyes are most definitely in good hands!

Great experience. The gals at the front counter were very friendly and got me back to the Dr quickly. Dr. Chism quickly diagnosed me and explained what the issue was. I have already made an appointment for my eye exam next year.

I was seen right at my appointment time and everyone was so friendly. There was little to no wait between having my eyes tested on 3 machines and seeing the doctor. I was very pleased with my visit overall and they gave me a gift for it being my first time!

Experience was amazing, he was friendly and caring so I came back. Second doctor (this review), Jeffrey Broadhead kept me an hour waiting and wasn’t pleasant. Didn’t act personable. Made me feel like a burden. Said my eye might develop an ulcer, but didn’t (last time it did). Then he tried to schedule a follow up appointment to check on progress. He just scheduled it. I had to say “no I can’t make it that day.” (They bill for every appointment.) Follow up wasn’t needed first time so I said I’d call if symptoms didn’t get better. But they were pressuring me like a used car salesman. Nothing about his nature showed that he cared about me or my eye, it showed instead that he wanted to maximize his appointments/ revenue. Why would I need a follow up if I didn’t have an ulcer this time and last time I had an ulcer? Why would I not call if it didn’t get better? I finally had to say “I’ll tell you what, if it doesn’t get better, I will go somewhere else and have them examine it.” Also - the CTR ring he wore made me feel uncomfortable, like he was pretending to have integrity. Dr. Broadhead is very knowledgeable about orthokeratology and answered all my questions about the corneal reshaping program. Coming for a couple years for regular check ups, contacts and glasses and they have been great. My son hurt his eye at school and they were able to get him in same day and get him taken care of. Even saw him the following day for a follow up to make sure it was healing well. All the doctors we have seen have been fantastic for my as well as my kids.

Dr. Chism is a miracle worker. My daughters Ortho K has improved her vision beyond our expectations in less than 6-months. Dr Chism truly cares so deeply about his patients. I love the excitement he shares with this process.

AMAZING - I would highly recommend Progressive Eye Care and Dr. Broadhead. My grandson scratched his eye and Progressive got is in right away. My grandson why crying and could not open his eye and they were so patient, kind and careful. They went above and beyond.

The whole staff was amazing at getting it figured out and got me a loaner pair of contacts to get me through until my next visit when my insurance would pay for them again. I have not had such a great experience with my contacts for years. Have not been able to see 20/20 for years. It is great to learn about new products and services. Dr. Chism explained everything, so I knew exactly what was going on with my eyes and sight. Not to mention - he is fun.

Poor front office staff communication. My contact prescriptions were messed up. It seems they push the trial contacts instead of updating the prescription on previous contacts. The two Hispanic receptionists were very rude in person and over the phone. Chelsea is the only helpful front end Secretary. I love Dr. Chasm, but its unfortunate that he is loosing a patient due to those two Secretaries.

Dr Chism and his staff is amazing! He is very meticulous and knowledgeable. It’s my first time doing ortho-k. I’m surprised at how fast my eye sight is getting better. It’s great not wearing glasses or contact lenses during the day!

This was my first visit to to the office and after taking some images, Dr. Broadhead caught some abnormalities that had been missed by my previous eye doctor. Turns out I’ve had a detached retina for +3 years. I was months away from having permanent eye damage but we caught it in time and with surgery everything should be alright. Super grateful for Dr. Broadhead and his team.

Highly recommend! They’re quick, friendly and detailed. They’re also budget friendly if you don’t have insurance. They have a good variety of styles and staff has great attitudes, don’t think twice, make an appointment!
