Originally it was because I went to a workshop that talked about the benefits of chiropractic care for kids diagnosed with ADHD. I first saw Dr Mac in 2021 after a minor car accident. He was highly recommended by a friend so it was worth the hour drive each way to see him. He was very professional, knowledgeable, personable and competent. Like many of you, I was skeptical about visiting a chiropractor over the past couple years after an injury. I struggled with the pain everyday for way too long... When I first showed up to see Dr.Mac, I was completely blown away with the hospitality of all of the crew there. They are very friendly and kind from the second you walk in to the moment you leave. They make you feel very welcome and begin to educate you about the process immediately. When Dr.Mac gave me my initial exam, he educated me throughout the whole process with honestly and integrity. When it came time for my diagnosis, he personally sat with me for almost an hour explaining the results in vivid detail and terms I could understand. As an educator myself, this was very much an experience for me. I left with real answers that explained absolutely everything that I was experiencing... and even more, a plan. Moving forward somehow I still felt a little unsure of the actual thought of being able to have a life without pain controlling my body. When we started the first couple rounds of treatments this started to become more and more of a reassurance. Then, I delved in. I'm a 66 yo curmudgeon that has suffered (I'm not exaggerating either) from chronic spinal pain for dang near 30 years. I fractured my axis (cervical) vertebrae at 18 yo and haven't been right since though my spine began to degenerate to where it is now when I was in my mid 30's after I gave up playing football. It got to the point to where I couldn't do anything physical without debilitating pain. That was until my first visit to see Dr. Mac Gearheart and his staff at AlignLife Chiropractic in Fishers, IN. I have never been so warmly welcomed by anyone - anyone! - in my life as when I walked into AlignLife. From the moment I entered the office, I was treated as the most important person on the planet. Molly Gearheart and her staff greater me with excitement and genuine smiles. Dr. Mac took the time to really listen to my medical history and physical concerns. I truly felt they really cared about little old me. Dr. Mac designed a treatment plan and we discussed it thoroughly. The plan included the use of what is called a "decompression table" (more like a chair). I've been given almost every pain medication out there from orthopedics including morphine, methadone, and fentanyl and have not felt any sign relief from my spinal pain. All the pills did was make me loopy and most of them made me 🤢. HOWEVER, after my first treatment on the decompression table it was like a magic wand was waived over me. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST 3 DECADES I HAD NO BACK PAIN! That is the truth. I actually felt taller. I was astounded and ecstatic! I even got a full night's sleep! But, would it last? This place has a great team who all work well together and they’ll go over everything with you personally to offer the proper treatment plan to resolve your spinal issues. They also offer tips on lifestyle / stretches to help your body hold the alignments as well. Even if you don’t have pain related to your back / neck, it’s worth going in to get an X-ray and talk with a specialist about your particular situation. The pain can be a later side effect of spinal issues and fixing it early can prevent a lot of hardships for people. This place has legitimately changed my life (no, really, it has). I was a migraine-prone insomniac who was always unmotivated and depressed, and I'd been thinking for years about getting a simple alignment to help my back pain subside. I went from sleeping from ~4-5a to ~10:30-11a, now from 11p to 7:30a - and I wake up early every day feeling productive. My sleep has improved immensely. My migraines? I haven't even had a headache in a month - I had no idea that my chronic cluster migraines had my neck to blame. I've lost 15 pounds so far, I've been eating so much healthier, and I've been exercising everyday; all things I had no energy or motivation to do previously. I have been thoroughly impressed with Dr. Mac and the team at AlignLife. I have been seeing Dr. Mac for just a couple of weeks for help with debilitating neck pain. Before Dr. Mac I had tried physical therapy, an injection and a nerve block. All of these treatments helped some, but still left me in a ton of pain and desperately seeking relief. Adjustments from Dr. Mac over the past couple of weeks have greatly diminished my pain and given me my life back. My first appointment with him consisted of a thorough exam with x-rays. He actively listened to me so he could better understand what my issues were in order to determine if he could truly help me. After reviewing my x-rays and medical notes he sat down with me at our next appointment to detail my x-ray findings, educate me on spine health, and explain what he could do for me through a customized treatment plan. It was incredibly refreshing to find a medical professional to spend that much time listening to me instead of blindly jumping into a treatment plan. He takes time at each appoinment to receive feedback on how the last adjustment worked for me and to listen and understand where my current pain points are. Dr. Owens is very professional and very through he likes to take his time with his patients to make sure that he addresses all the problems. His clinical knowledge is outstanding and uses a variety of methods to help with pain, such as dry needling, scraping, sastm, soft tissue work, muscle work, adjustments and exercises. Dr. Owens has helped me a lot with my hip flexor pain with scrapping and dry needling, which really helps me in the gym with my squats and lower body movements, so I do not have pain and I do not feel as stiff. He is very compassionate about what he does and getting people to feel better and getting them pain free. Less

I had never been to a chiropractor before meeting Dr. Mac and the main reason is I always thought that it was a place you go and they crack your back (wasn’t aware of it being called getting adjusted), so you just become addicted and keep going back. Well I was very wrong and Dr. Mac actually broke down everything in a way that I could understand. I had been having shoulder pain for years and decided to give it a shot and after 3 visits I was able to sleep on my shoulder for the first time in years without it hurting or anything. He gave me an x ray, showed me what the problem, went over the treatment plan with and and went to work. The experience is awesome and I can’t say enough good things about this place. Chiropractic care with Dr. Mac has been a game changer for me! I started getting adjustments to see if it would help my migraines (I was taking medicine 3x a week and desperate for help). And to say it has helped is an understatement. I had a 2 week stretch where I didn't need to take any migraine medicine because I didn't get my normal weekly migraines - and that hasn't happened since I first started getting migraines! I also had completely forgotten I had scoliosis, so once he started adjusting my back I noticed I had a lot less upper back pain. This was pain I had just learned to live with and didn't know it could even be helped!! I'm SO happy I gave it a try! Less

I’m not new to chiropractic and in looking for a new office to go to I had priorities: I wanted an environment that was calm and where I felt seen as an individual patient with unique needs, I wanted them to do X-rays so I know they are targeting my adjustments for my body’s needs, & I wanted education because if they can’t speak to their work, I personally question credibility.
