Beautiful photos, flexible getting our family in (for group and separate family shots) at the last minute (on a holiday weekend), and stunning mountain backdrop. Overall, we are happy with the quality of the final photos... resulting in us making the most expensive family photo purchase (outside of a wedding) we will ever make :)I was fairly disappointed with the final review process/ appointment. My family is located in different states/time zones, and we were unable to coordinate a final "viewing" appointment together. I asked if we could review a watermarked album (most typical) to allow us time to review individually. I was told, instead, that we needed to attend a virtual review session. On behalf of our family, I attended. The portfolio opened "live" at the exact moment of my appointment (on time) and was clicked through very quickly. This was my very first time seeing the photos, they then disappeared off screen, and I was presented with the pricing options to choose from. I explained that it would be difficult for me to make the final purchasing decision on behalf of my family (three families w/individual family photos, in addition to collective). I was told for them to view the album, we would need to purchase "portfolio viewing access" for an additional $399. I was unable to share the photos with my other family members and ultimately left with an ultimatum to purchase access to all digital files (so I can share), pay the $399 additional fee so they can view, or forgo altogether.I live in California, my family takes beautiful family portraits with amazing photographers every year, and I am always willing to pay for great quality in capturing my kids and family as they grow. As a Colorado-native visiting Crested Butte with my distant family, this was certainly another treasured experience I was looking forward to capturing and willing to pay for.Takeaways: I would recommend inquiring on the pricing of packages ahead of time so you aren't caught off guard (my fault). The pricing is in alignment for weddings but should include more pricing flexibility/options for families. You are guaranteed to fall in love with the images, but it will be a guaranteed investment of $2,300+.
