Training at Matagorda MMA in Brazilian jiu-jitsu has been one of the greatest journeys i could embark on. Not only am I learning to defend myself but also learning how to deal with everyday problems in life. Taught by 2 great coaches Gabriel Nixon and Carrie Niemann. Awesome atmosphere and training partners. Im glad I walked through those door that first day and signed up. Everyone needs to give it a try, either its judo, bjj, taekwondo, or kickboxing. You will not regret it.

Having trained at dozens of gyms over years, Matagorda MMA has one of the best kids program hands down. Coaches are phenomenal and a great group of kids.Martial arts, especially Juijitsu, is a very challenging discipline that can very often feel intimidating to start. These coaches have created the right environment to help kids overcome this hurdle and progress quickly.
