I have been seeing Dr. Rickards for almost five years. I had pain across my upper back and right shoulder and couldn’t lift my right arm or put it behind me. Living in different areas of the country, I had been treated by Blair-Palmer chiropractors so I looked for one in this area. I was very fortunate to find Dr. Rickards. He asks about and listens to any symptoms I may be having but uses his equipment and knowledge to check my alignment. He describes what he is doing and why. I know I am in better overall physical shape than I was when I started with him. I am glad to be on a maintenance schedule to make certain I stay in my best physical shape. He really enjoys helping patients through his chiropractic expertise. I recommend him highly!

Last year I had a disc in my back herniate. It put pressure on a nerve in my back, and I was in more pain than I had ever experienced. A friend of my wife’s highly recommended Dr. Ray for my treatment. His assessment was very scientific and I began seeing him regularly, with improvements right from the beginning. At two and a half months out from my injury, I was able to go back to work. I hadn’t even seen the back surgeon I’d been referred to once at that point, because it takes three months to get an appointment. So I was back to work, when if I’d have gone the traditional route, I wouldn’t have even seen a specialist yet. Now I am eight months out from my injury, and most days I feel back to normal, and with continued adjustments from Dr. Ray, just keep feeling better and better. I highly recommend Dr. Ray and his wonderful team! They got me through one of the most difficult issues of my life.

I had a really disappointing experience at this office. The doctor came across as rude and dismissive, and the entire appointment felt extremely rushed, like I was just being pushed through as quickly as possible rather than actually being listened to or cared for. When you’re going to a healthcare provider, you expect at least a basic level of professionalism and attention, but that was not my experience here. I left feeling frustrated and like my concerns were not taken seriously. Unfortunately, I would not return based on the customer service alone.

I went in for an assessment and did not receive the level of care I believe I should have. The doctor was rude and short with me, wanting to rush through the exam. The exam itself was also unpleasant. Worst chiropractic office ever.

I always say Dr Rickards saved my life! When I went into him I was physically broken, I was beginning to be homebound due to all the neurological symptoms I was having. I was off work as a nurse because I could not do it and I was devastated because I love my job. I had already been seeing another Blair Chiro who was helping some but Dr Rickards is top notch!!! He is so precise, gentle and he cares about you so much!!! He got me through the worst time of my life and I will forever be grateful!!! Trust the process, he knows what he is doing and he will see you through it! All my symptoms are gone and I now visit him for maintenance. I refer anyone I hear talking about their migraines, vertigo, neck pain, POTS, etc because we don’t have to suffer. I am so blessed to have Dr Rickards and so is my family!!!

Dr. Rickards is in a league of his own. Period. And just so you know, I have seen Blair Upper Cervical practitioners for the last 10+ years in LA, where I normally live. For the last 6 months I lived in the San Diego area and Dr. Rickards was recommended to me by another UCC chiropractor. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO FINALLY HEALED ME. It turns out that I was not holding my C1 alignment for more than 10 years, is because my C7 (a lower cervical) was out of alignment as well... and the two cervicals go in lockstep together! And just so you know, my C1 misalignment causes me anxiety, depression and insomnia. It's a big deal!!! This was the solution to my ordeal! Dr. Rickards was the ONLY one to get to the root cause of my suffering because he's also trained in the Pierce Method. And just so you know, he's one of only 2 chiropractors in the world (that's right) to employ both Methods. I am forever grateful to him. He is incredibly talented, kind, knowledgeable and dedicated to his craft. I honestly feel he is the best kept secret in Escondido. Go see him!

Dr Rickard's chiro methods are unique & extremely effective. I've been to several other practitioners only to end up in more pain & depression.With Dr Rickard, I have regained my energy. I sleep much better too. Overall, I feel happier. It is so nice to wake up in the morning feeling rested.
