One of the top reasons for house fires...dirty dryer vents! I didn't even know there was a company to clean the dryer vent! My husband would clean it the best he could, but I still worried.I saw a flyer in the mail pack and called. Dan scheduled my appointment and Kevin was my squad.After explaining our dryer Vent set up and materials, Kevin told me that what we have was not to code. What the heck!! He explained that some contractors don't know this. Obviously, my contractors did not know or care. A definite fire hazard!Kevin explained what the materials were supposed to be and how the system should look. He asked if I wanted to update the Dryer Vent system. From what I saw in the vent...lots and lots of lint and moisture...I definitely wanted the Vent system done right!!! Less than 2 hours later, I have a new system that is up to code and peace of mind!! One less thing to worry about.I'm scheduling a yearly cleaning with the Dryer Vent Squad.Thank you Kevin for being so professional and easy to work with. My dryer vent hadn't been cleaned past the flexible hose for nearly 30 years, and the dryer was stopping itself after about five minutes. Michael cleaned the exit and suggested upgrading the hose and vent, which I happily accepted. Glad I called the DVS number!
