I initially chose UNITS of Greater Philadelphia based on their price, which was far lower than several competitors that I researched, but I would choose them again in a heartbeat because their customer service, and the quality and cleanliness of their container, is above and beyond. They’re so easy to deal with and are professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They were prompt with scheduling both delivery and pick up, and were careful when moving the container into/out of a somewhat tricky spot. I called and it was so easy and when I tell you I literally was on the phone for an hour with pods and felt like I was talking to a car salesman. When I spoke to Joe at Units I literally was on the phone for 10 minutes and everything was finalized and it was literally half the price of what I was gonna pay for pods and they pick the container up and deliver directly were you want it. Pods has to deliver to a warehouse first and then have it picked and brought to another warehouse and then delivered to its final destination. I honestly can't say enough of this place. The opitome if customer service. My wife originally found this independent company a year ago after looking at all the other standard companies in the biz. Moving always seems to cause anxiety but one way to eliminate some stress is a zero stress pod company. It's also worth it just to see Todd, partner in the business (?), skillfully maneuver the pod off the truck and place it on a dime exactly where it needs to go. These guys enjoy their (proprietary) toys and it shows. I'll also mention reasonably priced. They really took the anxiety out of this entire operation. I will also judge a company by the "company" they keep. The movers they typically contract out to (owners name is Kareem (sp?)), are great. They are the definition customer satisfaction. Professional, knowledgeable, talented (real life tetris masters), careful and very friendly. I highly recommend using their services. We used UNITS Moving and Portable Storage while we renovated our house. We had to clear most of the stuff on the first floor. Joe and his brother (Mike?) were very professional and they delivered the container very quickly and the price was very reasonable. After we moved back in, we had a really bad flood and almost entire first floor was damage severely. They had just picked up the container. When I called and explained what happened, they worked very fast and delivered two containers for us to pack up the entire house (they house esp the first floor need repair), and also waived some additional charges. Our contain was eventually stored in their Delaware facility. We really appreciated their understanding and business and their help! Now we just unloaded the containers and moved back to our house! All the items that were in the container were in their original shape. No damage what so ever. I called them on Monday and they came this morning (Tuesday) to pick up the container. Very efficient! I have to say, if it were not for the cooperation and accommodating behavior of the people who work for this company, the move I had to make would have been even more traumatic. I am a disabled Veteran on a fixed income and have to watch every penny in my budget. My wife and I had to move form a home we lived in for close to 20 years and we had to leave suddenly, but could not move our belonging in right away. I called several other companies who after spending close to 15 minutes or more with them on the phone could not give me a clear cut cost for our moving situation. When I called UNITS and explained my situation to them I was given a clear cut cost of the service, with no up-sale and the price they gave me was the price they charged me. No surprise cost, no hidden fees and they actually offer discounts for Veterans and Service Members..... they are a NO BULLSHIT operation. They can get containers in tight spots, they arrive on time and they stay in communication with you the whole time, before they arrive, after they drop off container and when they pick it up and store it. NOT ONCE did i not get a response to my text of phone calls from them. And when I did speak with someone they were ALWAYS polite and respectful. When I went to get stuff from my container after it was moved nothing inside the container shifted, moved or was damaged. No moisture got into the container and the container they brought was clean with no internal or external damage. If you are moving and on a fixed income like I was and you need to know the price so you can figure your budget and do not have time to spend 30 to 45 minutes on the phone and then not get what you want, then deal with this family owned operated business. We had a great experience working with Mike and Joe at Units. We began our move on a very narrow street in Philadelphia and we worried about any truck or storage unit fitting down our block. Joe expertly maneuvered a unit down the street, and switched it out for a new one when the first was filled. Following our move, Units stored our stuff for 5 months before we were ready for it at our final location. A few weeks after they began holding our units, we realized we left something important inside one of them and needed to access it to retrieve it. Mike organized our unit being ready at the front of their facility on the day we planned to go get the item, and everything went very smoothly. He had one of the hardest moves he had to do since we lived on a really small street but he took the time to really figure out a way to get the unit down our street. On top of that, the drop off and pick up of the unit to other locations we needed was such a seamless process. My mother and I hired UNITS to move her belongings about 140 miles to the town I now live. When the loaded container was delivered, all of the contents remained in excellent shape. I believe the truck is equipped with a special suspension that provides an extra smooth ride. I am a retired mechanical engineer with most of my career working in the engineering area of the material handling industry. I was very impressed with the equipment that is used for transporting, loading and unloading the containers. After having a disaster of an experience at the last second with our local POD center we stumbled across "UNITS". We called the number listed on google and one of the owners Mike answered the phone directly. He was very friendly and professional - it was like having a conversation with someone you had known for years. Two days later he was delivering us our "UNIT" (even called when he was on his way). Placement was perfect and the container was very clean and dry. We had it on our property for about 3 weeks and the day before pickup one of the other owners Joe called to confirm - he too was very friendly and professional. Pickup was seamless, the transfer went great (nothing was damaged or even shifted) and placement at the new location was too perfect. Once again they called the day before our scheduled pickup to confirm we were finished with the "Unit" and called when they were on our way. I'm not planning on moving again anytime soon but when/if we do I would 100% use "Units" again and would 100% recommend them to anyone! Less

This UNITS Moving and Storage Company is top notch. We used them to load, store, and deliver 3 units to VA as we moved from DE to VA in September 2021. Their equipment is modern and very clean. All the people associated with UNITS were friendly, professional and focused on making our move as easy as possible. Mike Delzingaro followed up with me often during our move to make sure things were going well. He listened to what we needed and came up with a way to make it all happen utilizing another UNITS division closer to where we were moving as part of the process. He comes up with suggestions/solutions to make it work. They have a top notch moving company that works hand in hand with UNITS if you need help loading your UNITS. We did and they did a great job. We had to store all the items from our home for a period of time since our home sold a couple weeks before we could move in down in VA. Storing items with traditional moving companies can really add to the overall cost so this was another reason UNITS worked out so well for us. There was a small snafu with a neighbors car blocking our path, but he made it work and made a very stressful day much easier. I will never look elsewhere for this type of service. Great value too.
