We recently toured Butlers. What a fantastic venue! I wish I had help and direction when we got married like y’all provide couples.

I prefer to write positive reviews, which is why I'm very disappointed to write the following. My husband and I toured Butler's Courtyard many years ago, while looking for our wedding venue. After attending a friend's wedding there today, I'm so thankful we chose a different place! It is a beautiful place but the staff needs way more training or something. They were constantly present, but not in a helpful way. There were no announcements whatsoever. Many of the guests missed the toasts, first dances, cake cutting, etc., because no one knew they were taking place. By the time I was informed the food was out, it was only because I was given a 30 minute warning it was about to be removed from the buffet, and although the flavor was alright, it was cold. If I set my drink down, it instantly disappeared. Don't get me wrong, I do like having a tidy table, but I don't like having to go get yet another drink because my was taken, especially the ones I had to pay for. We were rushed through everything. It felt very conveyor belt-got to get this group out for the next one to come in, even though I'm fairly certain my friend's wedding was the only one booked for the evening. There was one person, I believe her name was Sarah, who seemed genuinely happy to be working there. In all fairness, I only interacted with a few of the staff members, but the ones I did, appeared to be bored, wishing they were elsewhere, and had no problem returning my smiles with scowls, and my pleasantries with irritation. What a real shame. This place was kind of pricey 12+ years ago, so I'm sure it's only more so now, so one would expect nothing but an event worth every penny. Sadly, it is not the case. It's such a beautiful building, inside and out, with so much charm. It could have been a truly magical day not only for the bride and groom, but for the guests as well. A wedding is one of the most important events in a couple's life. To treat it as just another day at, uhg, work, simply isn't fair to all involved. I came here for a work conference. It was nice but the seats were uncomfortable for our time there, eight hours. I feel like this place has good potential. Wish I would have come under better circumstances.

Had my wedding here nearly 7 years ago now, amazing location even though it's near a busy road the place feels tucked away in all the best ways.

got married here on 11/06/2022. i'm from league city but currently live in san antonio because my husband was accepted into nursing school there. i knew when we got married, we'd go back home. the moment i walked into butler's courtyard it felt like home. amber greeted me and my big sister (my husband had to stay behind for school) and it was so welcoming. shawna showed us around the venue and i knew this was the place. once they said our date was opened, we booked. living in san antonio, i was not able to drive down as often but they were always easy to get ahold of (weekends will always take time to get them, but that's their busiest time!!). amber was our day of coordinator and megan set everything up and helped us out however she could. it was a fantastic day and i'm so glad this was the venue we chose. also, my husband's suit jacket had gotten misplaced. we could not go back to venue as we needed to get back home to san antonio. i contacted amber and she said they would be able to mail the suit jacket back to the rental place in san antonio. this was so awesome and above and beyond!! Just had our wedding in august and WOW it was amazing! The butlers courtyard team was amazing through the planning process all the way to the send off at the end of the night! It was everything I could have dreamed of. The BC team was well organized and communicative and really knew what they were doing. Cannot recommend enough.

Timothy and I were completely floored by how well everyone (especially us) were taken care of and had no idea a wedding (much less our own) would be this extra super special. Low stress doesn’t even begin to describe the evening! We didn’t worry about a thing! Difficult family member? No problem, Amber’s got Texas charm and stellar boundary-setting skills. Feeling overwhelmed? Take a load off with the private dinner for just the two of you— to get some romantic quiet in an evening of festivities. There’s honestly— nothing these folks haven’t thought of! They run like a well-oiled machine. Butler’s Courtyard and their team of vendors are truly setting a high bar for this industry. Each one of their vendors works seamlessly in with the Butler’s Courtyard team. Somebody needs to do a case study on just how they are pulling off this kind of smooth-as-butter integration. So, ok sold on the team! But wait— this venue! 😮 Historic, beautiful, breath-taking. Decor is elegant and artfully placed. The space was perfect for our 75 person wedding reception and we so enjoyed getting to explore the Rose Cottage, The Shop and other nooks and crannies in this place. Houston is such a new and developing city— we don’t have many treasures like this historic bank (with a vault) that oozes with charm and majesty. Ok, still not sold? Let’s talk about all-inclusive. This venue does it all and if they don’t, they have a partner that will do it and do it better than anyone else in the industry. Shout out to our florist Rene from Lush Flowers (truly unbelievable the kind of vision and artistry these experts have), photographer Jessica from Eventsmith (organized, calm, fun to be around and skillfully captured every single magic moment throughout the whole night), DJ Mark (who played all of our favorites and created the perfect environment for us), and Cool Cow (which was a huge hit! Who doesn’t want all-night ice cream?). During the planning process, Amber patiently listened to our ideas for what this reception could be, provided guidance for two engineers who had no idea of what wedding planning consisted of, and on the day of— captured our personalities and created the most magical night of our lives. I am not a person pre-occupied with weddings, wedding-planning, or party-planning of any sort but I am completely obsessed with the magic being created at Butler’s Courtyard. For two people who got married in the middle of a global pandemic (July 2020) in a backyard in the rain— this ‘two-years-long-awaited’ wedding reception was more than we could have ever hoped or dreamed it would be. We had to move our wedding due to covid (along with many others) and during the whole process, Amber was such an amazing help, and so very kind and patient throughout! The venue is so beautiful, and has so much more room than is readily apparent. Also, during the planning session where we mentioned moving the date, and thus getting married at the courthouse to keep our original anniversary date, Amber told us "absolutely not" and we worked out a small ceremony at the venue. I was moved almost to tears so many times during our planning sessions, and was often put at ease by everyone's calm demeanor. I am very much a control freak, and sometimes get stressed if I don't have my thumb in all the pies, so to speak, but butler's takes care of literally EVERYTHING, and helps you in the areas they don't cover. We got so many recommendations and so much help through the whole process. I am so so so glad we chose butler's, and have such beautiful memories to hold of our time celebrating there. If you have any doubt of this venue, DON'T! They are amazing and so kind and treat you like family. This is THE PLACE to go! I would highly recommend this venue. They did a fantastic job and went above/beyond what I would expect and the staff was friendly, organized, and responsive. Parking was not an issue and all guests had a great time. Additionally, we had a masquerade wedding on Halloween and the setting was perfect for that type of event.

While we’re eating we noticed people walking around looking for a place to sit down and enjoy there food but there was no seats . We rushed to finish our food so other people could sit down. Went here for a child hood friend daughter’s wedding. The venue was nice and the ceremony was good. After the ceremony we went to the location were the food was and for a plate and sat down. Needless to say my wife’s heel got caught in the cobblestone tile and broke her shoe so our night got cut short and this is something you don’t get another chance to do. The staff was very attentive to the guests !!! My daughter whom is disabled and I 72 yr old grandmother of David and Taylor Mauzy were helped through out the event getting around. I recommend anyone looking for a venue give them a try. One of the best times I have ever ha. Pure enjoyment!!!

It was insane how put together they were! Not to mention they are an all inclusive venue. I shopped around and BC was by far the best choice and best value. As a full time medical student, it was so nice to have the majority of vendors organized and in place. I could not recommend this venue more. Super communicative, friendly, and flexible! If I could rate this place any higher I would. I had my wedding in November and everything was perfect. I felt like I was a princess. I couldn't have asked for a better staff. They were so helpful,kind, and so understanding. They are there for you every step of the way. Any questions you have they will help you. Absolutely amazing and they went above and beyond.
