The all-inclusive aspect they provide is unmatched and allowed us to build and create our own, unique, dream wedding alongside our wedding coordinator. As a treat for signing up within the week, Butler’s provided the girls with mimosas and pastries, and the boys with beers of their choice. Every vendor we used, we met through Butler’s Courtyard and we received exceptional service from each one! My husband and I did not have to make any cold calls or do any “extra lifting” when researching and choosing our vendors, everything was very clear and concise. Butler’s also handled any major communication between preferred vendors and made the process completely stress-free! As a bride, I got to come in and plan my decorations, flowers, music etc., without the stress and hassle of the planning and organization! The venue was also decorated for Christmas, creating a feeling of a luxurious Christmas party (and an amazing first family Christmas card!) All in all, we would give Butler’s ten stars if we could. From the second we stepped on the property for our initial tour at BC, the staff made us feel right at home. They happily answered any questions we had and really connected with us on a personal level. This was important to us. After completing our tour, we didn’t feel the need to visit any other wedding venues. We truly felt like Butler’s Courtyard was the perfect place for us. Everything about it just felt right. The staff is really what makes this place so special. We had planning sessions every few months with Amber to discuss details and present any questions we had. She was always happy to see us and was honest with us as we navigated through choices that needed to be made. This was really helpful in our decision making process. Shawna was our day-of coordinator. She was such a blessing!! She was always patient with me and willing to answer any questions that I had (especially closer to the day of the wedding). I really appreciated her kindness and the effort that she put forth to make our wedding day the best day of our lives. Our wedding was in January 2024 - the weekend before the big freeze/cold front. Thankfully there was no bad weather on our actual wedding day, but it was still pretty chilly outside. I will admit - I was a little bit concerned about having an outdoor reception in January. We chose to stay under the pavilion, but also had 6 tables set up inside for guests who preferred to be indoors. There were tall heaters outside that did an AMAZING job at keeping guests warm. The cold weather was not an issue whatsoever. Butler’s Courtyard is very confident in the way that they organize and conduct weddings and receptions and now I understand why. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and they kept all the events flowing in such a timely manner. I would recommend this wedding venue to anyone and everyone!! If I could go back and do it all over again, I would pick Butler’s Courtyard every time. They will do everything in their power to make your wedding day a remarkable one. I prefer to write positive reviews, which is why I'm very disappointed to write the following. My husband and I toured Butler's Courtyard many years ago, while looking for our wedding venue. After attending a friend's wedding there today, I'm so thankful we chose a different place! It is a beautiful place but the staff needs way more training or something. They were constantly present, but not in a helpful way. There were no announcements whatsoever. Many of the guests missed the toasts, first dances, cake cutting, etc., because no one knew they were taking place. By the time I was informed the food was out, it was only because I was given a 30 minute warning it was about to be removed from the buffet, and although the flavor was alright, it was cold. If I set my drink down, it instantly disappeared. Don't get me wrong, I do like having a tidy table, but I don't like having to go get yet another drink because my was taken, especially the ones I had to pay for. We were rushed through everything. It felt very conveyor belt-got to get this group out for the next one to come in, even though I'm fairly certain my friend's wedding was the only one booked for the evening. There was one person, I believe her name was Sarah, who seemed genuinely happy to be working there. In all fairness, I only interacted with a few of the staff members, but the ones I did, appeared to be bored, wishing they were elsewhere, and had no problem returning my smiles with scowls, and my pleasantries with irritation. What a real shame. This place was kind of pricey 12+ years ago, so I'm sure it's only more so now, so one would expect nothing but an event worth every penny. Sadly, it is not the case. It's such a beautiful building, inside and out, with so much charm. It could have been a truly magical day not only for the bride and groom, but for the guests as well. A wedding is one of the most important events in a couple's life. To treat it as just another day at, uhg, work, simply isn't fair to all involved. Houston is such a new and developing city— we don’t have many treasures like this historic bank (with a vault) that oozes with charm and majesty. Ok, still not sold? Let’s talk about all-inclusive. This venue does it all and if they don’t, they have a partner that will do it and do it better than anyone else in the industry. Shout out to our florist Rene from Lush Flowers (truly unbelievable the kind of vision and artistry these experts have), photographer Jessica from Eventsmith (organized, calm, fun to be around and skillfully captured every single magic moment throughout the whole night), DJ Mark (who played all of our favorites and created the perfect environment for us), and Cool Cow (which was a huge hit! Who doesn’t want all-night ice cream?). During the planning process, Amber patiently listened to our ideas for what this reception could be, provided guidance for two engineers who had no idea of what wedding planning consisted of, and on the day of— captured our personalities and created the most magical night of our lives. I am not a person pre-occupied with weddings, wedding-planning, or party-planning of any sort but I am completely obsessed with the magic being created at Butler’s Courtyard. For two people who got married in the middle of a global pandemic (July 2020) in a backyard in the rain— this ‘two-years-long-awaited’ wedding reception was more than we could have ever hoped or dreamed it would be. So many positive things to say about BC!! The venue itself is GORGEOUS, and lends itself to everything from formal to casual. The service completes the package: if the staff hasn't immediately anticipated your needs then, they respond instantly to them. It is the whole package!

I officiated a wedding here this evening. I must say I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and care of the entire staff. The wedding party was well taken care of and were able to enjoy the special day without worry.

We had to move our wedding due to covid (along with many others) and during the whole process, Amber was such an amazing help, and so very kind and patient throughout! The venue is so beautiful, and has so much more room than is readily apparent. Also, during the planning session where we mentioned moving the date, and thus getting married at the courthouse to keep our original anniversary date, Amber told us "absolutely not" and we worked out a small ceremony at the venue. I was moved almost to tears so many times during our planning sessions, and was often put at ease by everyone's calm demeanor. I am very much a control freak, and sometimes get stressed if I don't have my thumb in all the pies, so to speak, but butler's takes care of literally EVERYTHING, and helps you in the areas they don't cover. We got so many recommendations and so much help through the whole process. I am so so so glad we chose butler's, and have such beautiful memories to hold of our time celebrating there. If you have any doubt of this venue, DON'T! They are amazing and so kind and treat you like family. This is THE PLACE to go! I would highly recommend this venue. They did a fantastic job and went above/beyond what I would expect and the staff was friendly, organized, and responsive. Parking was not an issue and all guests had a great time. Additionally, we had a masquerade wedding on Halloween and the setting was perfect for that type of event.

What a great venue for all special occasions. They have so many options for space inside, outside with a covered patio or both. Great staff who are so friendly and helpful. Location is nice for a small gathering. The food provided was pretty good just the dj for the event was severely out of touch. He played eminem. He played alot of old songs. The bartender lady looked like she hated the hispanic clientele she looked angry but we love everybody.

She was absolutely amazing. She answered all my questions, calls, and texts nearly immediately from the time I chose the venue, all the up to even after the wedding. She treated me like a princess and was so helpful throughout the whole experience. Amber is one of the greatest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. The staff was phenomenal, extremely hard working, and so sweet and helpful. The venue is insanely gorgeous! There are multiple different ceremony and reception options and more than enough perfect backgrounds for photos all throughout the property. The whole staff did such a wonderful job keeping everything extremely clean and sanitary, especially during the current pandemic. My husband and I don’t have a single complaint. Nothing more complicated than planning a wedding during corona, but Butlers made it easy. They were professional, kind, and answered our endless questions. We loved the rose cottage and shed and all the suggested vendors were great as well. Highly recommend !!
