I catered the lechon pork belly roll for my family Thanksgiving and it was so delicious! The owners were so sweet and friendly! Highly recommend!
I love this place! I never had Filipino food before, but I liked everything I tasted (especially the Humba and Bico Express). Don’t forget to try the Halo for dessert ( a must have). Wonderful people, great service!
The crispiest pork belly I have ever had. The halo halo was a delicious experience! It’s great that the food is ready to order minimizing wait times. If there was one thing that could improve the place - it would be a better water refill experience. They have a nice water dispenser but the button can get filthy as people refill their cup mid-meal.
Staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and so good. Would definitely come back for more. It’s a home away from home.
If I could give 100 stars to the service, I would! The owners are super sweet, they come around and recommend you on how to eat the food, and will rip apart the large pieces of meat for you. It is a little spendy, but I think you definitely get your money's worth. Food is always tasty and hits the spot 😋 Try the Halo Halo - it's super refreshing and light! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For this restaurant! Went there for the first time yesterday, and it had such a "home-y" vibe. Very neat and clean as well! Food was delicious! Generous portions. The Homemade Ice cream is a MUST TRY!!! If we didnt live so far we would have bought a lot to take home!
I've tried a couple different dishes now and each one is so flavorful and filling. Portions are hearty. The service is consistently just as good or better than the food. We always feel so welcomed and cared for in this space. If you've never tried Filipino food before, please come and have your first taste here.
Best chicken adobo, great chili paste
First time trying Philipino food. Loved it! Fried fish was my favorite.
We were eager to try out this place due to the high reviews. As you enter Kusina, there is a warm and inviting ambiance. Traditional artifacts fill the room with seating inside and outside. The owners and staff make you feel right at home. Their diverse selection of Cebuano cuisine is amazing! Lastly if you have room, please try their homemade ice cream it is splendid.
First time having Filipino food, it did not disappoint! So good, will definitely be back to try more of what's on the menu.

The food is great. The pork adobo and bbq skewer is my favorite. Can be a little expensive, but it’s worth it!

Being at Kusina makes me feel like I’m visiting family in the Philippines. The food can be equally enjoyed by people that have had Filipino food before and people who are experiencing this food for the first time. Everything Jailin makes is delicious but I highly highly recommend getting the Halo-Halo and the Humba!
A delicious Filipino restaurant that is a good option even if you are short on time. The staff is very friendly and the food is reasonably priced.
This is a beautiful restaurant with a very welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for lunch or dinner. The pork humba and the chicken adobo pair delightfully with the pancit. The halo halo is creamy and wonderful. If I could give more than five stars, I would.
The workers were friendly and extremely helpful with describing the menu items. The food was delicious! Definitely will go back!
Great food, excellent service went back for extra Lumpia before we left

Delicious food from a family owned and operated restaurant. Lumpia is awesome, halo halo is the best in MN, and you can’t go wrong with the bbq pork skewers. Everything I have tried has been great, including the mung bean soup that I didn’t think I’d enjoy (partner ordered it) but ended ip eating every drop.
Amazing experience! Great service. Food was good too! Had the Chicken Adobo, pancit, lumpia and Turon! Yum!!
If you've never had Filipino food Kusina is a must try. If you love Filipino food then this is a taste of home. The food was excellent and the service was like having my Aunt make me lunch. As a Pinoy I will go back again and again. Once you try it, you'll be hooked. SALUMAT!
Everything was top tier! the food was incredible and worth every penny. The atomosphere made you feel like you were in the islands. And the chef is super nice and helps you stir the halo halo if you never had it before 🤣. Definitely great place for any occasion! only thing is wish they had more halal options.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for weeks & am so happy that I did! I ordered the Lechon belly that comes with rice plus some pickled pickles with pepper and this sauce. The best Lechon I’d had in Minnesota. I also tried the halo halo and it was so good.
Very welcoming and active workers and the owners were really nice and sweet! Even the customers were nice and smiling! They all tasted amazing but I would recommend the lechon a lot. It was very delicious, very crispy skin and soft meat.
AMAZING!!!🤩🤩🤩 Best filpino restaurarant I have ever been to. Super authentic. And really nice staff. Would travel across the world to go here.
Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and the friendliest owners! We will definitely come back!
Literally the best restaurant in the TCs!
Good experience. I love pancit but this was a smidge disappointing, felt it had some spaghetti noodles in it and was a tad bland, but for MN pancit it was good. Lumpia was fantastic and the bbq pork skewer was amazing. Overall totally worth it.

Luckily, the lunch rush seemed to be ending by the time our food came out, so we were able to grab and table and sit. It’s a walk up counter where you place your order. Most of the food is already premade and ready to be served. It was our first time, so we ordered the combo of the day, the chicken rice adobo, and a halo halo to share. Staff are very friendly, but it can be a bit overwhelming your first time. The menu font is pretty small on the TV behind the counter and everyone is waiting behind you to place their orders… Wish they had some paper copies of the menu, so that we could step to the side and look everything over before ordering. We stood there for a while before we just went with the combo they recommended. Skewers were great!! Very flavorful. Lumpia came with sweet and sour sauce. They didn’t give a lot of noodles with the combo meal, but it was probably because it was a special. Luckily, we also ordered the chicken rice and was able to get full from that. Chicken was a bit salty, to be honest, but so soft it fell off the bone. They gave 3 whole pieces of chicken, so it’s a filling meal. A tip would be to order an extra side of rice to mellow out some of the saltiness. We saw another table do the exact same thing. Wish there was a spicy option. We didn’t see any hot sauce packets / bottles near the self-serve utensils / water station. Halo halo was great. A server brought it out to us and explained to us in detail how to make it. I thought it was a bit pricey ($13) for 1 cup, but they do make their own ube ice cream and flan, so I appreciate the efforts. It ended being the perfect amount for 2 people. Once you’re done eating, you can place your plates and trays in the bins by the door. They’re quick to wipe your table after you get up to free it up for the next table / customer. Overall, great experience. Good food, clean restaurant, so it’s super nice to be able to get some authentic filipino food in Minnesota. We will come again on a hopefully less crowded day, so we can take our time looking at the menu and trying more things! Less
This place has great authentic Filipino food. The pancit and lumpia are a good place to start. Try a mix of everything. I have and it’s all great. This small family owned place cares about how good this is. Give it a try it’s mild and tasty and there is something for everyone.
Impeccable service here. Everyone was so nice and warm. We had to wait for the rice and we got lumpia for free! Its so homey and the food was delicious. It’s definitely worth the drive from the twin cities. Will come back

I knew what I wanted to try before coming, so my mind was already made up upon arrival. Being that I was dining alone, Scott offered me 1 of his smaller Patas, which was perfectly sized. She taught me how to enjoy halo halo and it was a very delightful dessert. It is my birthday week, so I treat myself to a new dish/restaurant during this time. I was offered a small bracelet of shells for my birthday, which was a wonderful gesture. The spicy sauce that came with the Pata was super spicy imo, but if you like heat, you'll welcome the accompaniment. I was even allowed a sample of their little sausage, which was very good. I only gave 4 stars on the food because I haven't tried it all yet, but I will return to try more. I appreciate the owners for taking time to explain their dishes and making me feel welcomed. Less

If you're looking to satisfy a craving or just looking to try new food, this is the place. This quaint little restaurant has great service and amazing food. It for sure took me back to my days in the Philippines. And after your meal, be sure to head over to the attached Filipino market.
Authentic Filipino food, there’s a Filipino market next to the restaurant. Very relaxed and cozy place with the super friendly owner! The owner explains about the food. The signature dessert halohalo is not too sweet with homemade taro ice cream and flan. Can’t wait my next visit there! The restaurant also sells some Filipino hand crafts as well!

The restaurant was clean, we will definitely be returning! So thankful to have this place in our neighborhood!

Their offerings are available in a way similar to a grocery store deli's hot food - except fresher. In the 5 or so minutes I was in line, multiple items were topped off with freshly prepared refills. The staff is incredibly friendly & helpful - the owner started prepping my order, then handed off to the cashier who then told me about every entree & side they had on display. The menu is small, but everything is homemade (even the lumpia/egg roll dipping sauce is original). I went all out, wanting to experience an array of what was on offer - and leave myself with leftovers (which I just finished, and was still awesome). I ordered the Chicken Adobo w/ rice combo. It came with Pancit (veggie & noodle dish similar to Lo Mein). I also ordered the Longganisa (pork sausage) & special Lumpia (eggrolls). And just when I thought that was enough for my first visit, they brought out a fresh tray of BBQ Pork skewers - so I got 2! Everything tasted exceptional and the value was great. I wish I had thought to take pictures, but I see plenty of other reviewers have done so - check 'em out! I'll definitely be back, and maybe on my next visit I'll visit the Filipino grocery store next door. Highly recommend! Less

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We were welcomed and made to feel at home there.
The halo halo here was top notch! We've searched all over the cities for our favorite and this for sure took first place. The homemade ube ice cream was incredible! The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had a nice spacious seating area and was clean. Definitely check it out!

A delicious dessert to finish off our meal. The owner was nice enough to show us how to properly enjoy it by mixing all the flavors. Last note, their flan was AMAZING!! Rich, buttery, not too sweet, just perfect. Less
Wonderful staff and delicious food, all you can ask for. Will definitely come back next time to dine in for some halo halo and lechon!
I tried it for the first time yesterday, 4/20. The food and experience were absolutely amazing. The owners are incredibly nice and made you feel very welcome. I highly recommend the chicken adobo with rice 🍚. I am definitely going back for more.
The food is really good all the food is home made and vary old traditional food
I love everything about Kusina! I too, own a Filipino food business but I am so proud of what they have done and will continue to do. I am definitely learning from them.
My family stumbled upon this place as we were buying a bike near by. I Googled restaurants in the area and Kusina came up as the closest. When we walked in the doors we immediately were warmly welcomed by Jailin. I told her we'd never been there before and never had Filipino for before. She excitedly walked us through each dish available and let us try multiple. We loved every item we got, especially the chicken adobo. I also got the whole fish and it was delicious, but when I went to the counter to ask Jailin a question she told me she brought out fresh fish and wanted me to have a new one. I resisted but she said "had" to take another as the fresh ones are so much better. She wasn't kidding! The first fish was great, but the fresh one was beyond wonderful. She suggested I eat the head too. I did, so did my 11 and 10 year old children and we loved it. The halo halo was a meal in itself. What a treat! The food and service was fantastic! We will be back.....many times. Thank you for such a fun, delicious and relaxed introduction to Filipino food! I would give this place 10 out of 5 if I could. ;) Less

The chef's husband introduced himself and described all of the dishes on offer, giving us detailed descriptions of the flavor profile and texture, which was very important for me as I have a lot of sensory issues with textures. I had the pancit and beef menudo, which was just the most ultimate comforting, flavorful stew! I believe my wife had the humba, which had pork belly so they absolutely LOVED it. I'm sure everything there is wonderful! As we were finishing, the chef herself came out to ask us how we liked our food, and when we told her we loved it all, she thanked us and said that we are always welcome back and that we are like family! Hearing that really drove home what we were already feeling - that we were supporting a small family-owned business and the love for not only the food but each other certainly reflected in the food. We will be returning if we are ever in the area! Less
Excellent food
Everything we tried here was so delicious! And all the staff were kind and helpful. Great place!
I came here a few times shortly after they started business and was still weekend only. Excellent customer service. Food was great. It feels like you're eating at aunty's home. I haven't been back in awhile but it makes me happy to see their business booming and gaining more attention. I know I recommended Kusina to everyone I know. If there's one complaint I have it'd probably be the price. It's gone up quite a bit since I was last there. I'm sure they had to upcharge with the low business, but for the portion I'm not sure I'd go back very often. Wanted to be a regular but for now it'll be a nice treat once in awhile. It's prob better that way otherwise I'd never lose weight cause I love Filipino food lol Less
Great food my first time having Phillipino food enjoyed it
Felt at home. Finally found a halo halo to rival the one in cebu. Owners are friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic to just socialize. The food is authentic as it gets, delicious. Very well kept restroom. Pinoy grocery store right next door. Love it.
What a wonderful little restaurant! Everyone was friendly and the food was authentic and tasty! Will be heading back again soon.
Good food, good portions
Can we bring Kusina south of Minneapolis? Loved the food, flavors, and hospitality! "Make yourself at home" was the message from the owners as they checked up on us. We sure did! You're not going to cook your Filipino meal again. It's addicting. My husband says we have to eat there as often as we can. A very heavenly experience.
We really enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and the friendliness of the staff. Really want to go back again to try the halo-halo - I was too stuffed to try it this time!
Bravo! 👏 such a great restaurant. Owner's are so Friendly and vary caring. The Food is so good, the rice is FRESH and the Adobo is perfect, the pancit was not overly salty it's great👌 This brought me back to when I was in Philippines 🇵🇭 GOOD FOOD! God Bless this restaurant 🙏 🙌 I WILL BE BACK!
Very well worth meal in term of both flavor and portion. Pork crispy skin is on the money. Add-on may not needed but recommended. Nice and cozy setting. It could be a long line of you come late. Wonderful experience as a whole. Highly recommended. --------------- Update: roasted pork is still great with crispy skin. Fried fish has a balance of sweet and and sour flavor. Absolutely wonderful, we will be retuning soon to try other dishes!
So good! Just like my moms cooking, definitely worth the drive from the cities.
I recommend the lechon.
It cost me nearly 70 dollars…. Not worth the money. I threw away most of the food because it was super fattening and the fish was smelly, and the small piece of desert had to be thrown away as well. Consistency is the key to the success…. Won’t be going back there any time soon.
Loved the halo Halo! Ton of flavor and a healthy option. Be sure to mix it well and enjoy the flavors
The foods are very good especially the Chicken adobo, pancit etc and the dessert too.. I recommended to come again🥰 I luv my filipino foods
Been going to different filipino restaurants around the cities with my boyfriend who is from the Philippines and this is the best one by far! we both loved it. wonderful service, very kind owners, and amazinggg food ❤️
Amazing food and staff! What a great addition to Moundsview. We’ve never had Filipino food before Kusina, would encourage everyone to give it a try!
Today I got the chef special double cooked pork shank. I don't know how I've gone this long without being aware of pork prepared like this- tender and savory, encased in a crispy crunchy shell. People who don't think there's good food in Mounds View are unaware of Kusina. Highly recommend this place. Less
A perfect place to stop for a bite! The atmosphere was warm and beachy (perfect in the cold of the Minnesota winters), the food was incredible, and the staff were so warm and inviting - it felt like being welcomed into the chef's home! She was so sweet! I'm so happy to find such a great place in our neighborhood!!
Lechón was Excellent... Never tryed Filipino cuisine before but now Im fascinated with the flavors of Filipinnes...

Hospitality at its finest… food and service is great.. halo halo is the best Love the idea of a washing area Very clean Menu of the day our on the screen I highly recommend this place..
It is a small place. It feels a bit cramped, and they are currently understaffed, which is understandable, and the parking lot can get really cramped. We we’re greeted right when we walked in! Service was fast and friendly. Food was absolutely amazing and they gave out large portions! Definitely worth the hour drive! Will be coming back!
Wow, we were really impressed with this restaurant! My wife is Filipino, and she said it tastes just like home (she is also a great cook)! Kusina makes their food authentic and brings the Philippines to the USA - you will be satisfied!
Very happy with the customer service. Personally met and chat with the chef. She was lovely and very kind hearted. Atmosphere was inviting. Big thanks to the chef we got to taste all if not most of her dish. Personal visit Kudona for their Pata. It's a must try if you have not. We will visiting more often after this experience.

Best Filipino Restaurant I've been to in the US! Flavors are just like you would get in Cebu! Amazing check it out!
The atmosphere was nice n welcoming. There was a line when we got there, so prepare to wait alittle bit until u can order. Got the combo meal of Chicken Adoble w/ Pancit n Rice. Chicken was flavorful, nice n tender. The Pancit n Rice was good too.
Definitely worth checking out !! We tried several dishes the owners recommended and all were flavorful and delicious with generous portions served. All dishes are family recipes. We will be coming back as entrees are rotated throughout the week. The owners visited our table providing a very personal dining experience.
Amazing food and people, I would recommend everyone try this spot. I recommend the humba, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the dishes.
Some of the nicest most informative people I have met not very often you find a good place to eat that feels like your at home
Cafeteria style, after KARE11 review they raised prices. Not sure if it is worth it , especially since they do not make a lot of what they post on website.
Operating about 3 to 4 months , still relatively new restaurant. The food taste is authentic. The vibes inside is fiesta feeling. Hoping the success will continue and the food will always be authentic.
Excellent customer service. My husband loved the food.
Service is amazing; food tastes homemade and your mom loves you. You won’t be disappointed.
This was the First time there. The food was fantastic and and they explained how the food was prepared. If you like to try different types of foods I would definitely recommend this place
We arrived at 5. They close at 7. Stated they were almost out of everything. This made for very limited choices. Had pancit and lumpia which were good. Chicken adobo too. Too many pork dishes.
My wife introduced me to this Filipino restaurant when it first opened. The food here is great, and there's something new all the time. Great service!!
This place is the real deal the one we've been looking for! And the halo-halo of my dreams 🤩
