I have had the extremely fortunate (unfortunate?) opportunity to see Paul for two different rounds of physical therapy due to different issues with my shoulder. The first time was after two rounds in a traditional PT setting and seeing no true long-term progress. I felt the traditional PT sessions were just a cycle of insurance claims, with no true investment in whether I got better or not. When I say going to Paul was an absolute game changer for how I move and heal my body, I don't say that lightly. When I mysteriously injured my shoulder a second time (my late thirties are doing me dirty, I tell ya), I didn't call my doctor first; I e-mailed Paul. Immediately, he texted me a calendar invite to schedule an appointment. Paul's style of physical therapy is a far cry from the moving rotation of machines I was used to, and is almost more akin to an hour-long personal fitness training session. Our appointments are always focused on pain management, range of motion, and muscle relaxation first and with VERY hands-on manual manipulation on his part (the dude works for your money, haha), before there's even a discussion of exercises. He always meets me where I'm at, and I always walk out of there feeling better. In fact, I enjoy my time with Paul so much that when my husband developed a lower back injury at the same time I was going to physical therapy already, I told him to e-mail Paul! I was even able to gift my husband the rest of the advanced sessions I purchased because I healed faster than predicted. At the time of my visits, Paul didn't accept insurance, and I was so glad for that! It meant I was able to use my HSA dollars and choose my health care provider for the quality of care I hoped to receive instead of what my insurance said I was allowed to access. I viewed my time with Paul as a considered purchase and an investment, but one that has paid dividends on my health. Not just me, but my family, now has a health partner we can call on as we stare down the barrel of our 40s, and we know that, should anything happen, we'll have excellent care in Paul's hands, AND care that would take half the healing time of a conventional round of treatment at a physical therapy farm. 10/10! Highly recommend! Less

When I started with Dr Kochoa I had trouble walking and completing a golf swing due to hip and leg issues. These conditions remained after previous PT sessions at another location/practice which focused mainly on stretching. In addition Dr Paul stressed more rigorous exercises even directly related to the golf swing but applicable to all motions. Now I’m walking better and playing golf. I found Dr Paul’s approach very thorough: -continuous monitoring of progress -checking flexibility - adjusting home exercise programs - all easily accessed online I highly recommend Dr Kochoa Less

Par-5 Physical Therapy and Dr. Paul Kochoa provided incredible insight, understanding, feedback, and plan of action to improve my range of motion, flexibility, strength, endurance, and brain/muscle connection. Years prior to seeing Dr. Kochoa I herniated 2 discs in my spine and dealt with severe muscle tightness/lack of range of motion. This added difficulty to my day to day life prohibiting my ability to complete the physically demanding tasks required or desired of me. As a member of the food service industry, I struggled to be at my best combating such issues. I tried other physical therapy services, but did not reach desired results. After joining Par-5 Physical Therapy and Dr. Kochoa, my debilitating symptoms began to diminish and my range of motion, flexibility, strength, endurance, and brain/muscle connection increased exponentially over time. I gained the ability to have more efficient output at work over longer periods of time, play golf/basketball pain free, intense weight/resistance training, and complete daily tasks requiring physical demand. All 4 of the goals Dr. Kochoa and I set at the beginning of the process were achieved. My experience at Par-5 Physical Therapy was excellent. As someone skeptical about physical therapy in general, Dr. Kochoa’s knowledge, understanding, care/concern, and attention to detail in the field combined with an inspiring nature removed all skepticism I had. I am now more efficient working longer hours pain free, playing golf at higher caliber with no pain, taking care of physically demanding tasks without pain, and have a maintenance/ improvement plan for the future thanks to Dr. Kochoa. I started sessions with Par5 PT a few months ago after 30 years of chronic back pain I can’t remember the last time my back felt this good and strong. I’d previously been to several PTs and doctors/surgeons without success. Other PTs never addressed the root cause and surgeons advised I needed spinal surgery. They never spent the time understanding my condition. I knew from my very first phone consultation with Paul that he operated on another level. During our first session together it became clear that I was in good hands - I could see his logical approach to determining the root cause of my condition and then he spent time explaining his proposed path to improvement. His ability to heal, educate and help you heal yourself is unparalleled. To wrap up - just recently I’ve been putting my back under a lot of stress (golfing, working at a desk all day, moving house, jumping on trampoline with my son etc) and I haven’t even felt a twinge in my lower back. This is all down to the skills and knowledge of Paul at Par5 PT. Less

I was very pleased with the personal attention that I received with Dr. Paul Kachoa. So different from other PT offices - and I've been to a lot over the years - where you are one of many patients being seen at the same time. Dr. Paul works with you to truly understand your issues, and tailors the exercises to meet your needs. I also liked that I only needed to go into the office 1 day per week for a few weeks. Would definitely recommend his services. Less
