Jennifer Bobkoskie at Lorenzos Dog Training was a huge help in guiding us through training. We adopted Chili (Pitbull breed) when he was 4 and now he’s 7. His areas of concern were reactiveness with strangers in and out of the home, pulling during walks, and overall ignoring us. Lorenzo’s suggested basic obedience training to establish clearer lines of communication with Chili. As soon as we took him in for the evaluation we knew the style of training was going to have a positive impact on him. At the beginning of training, Jen helped us understand her method (dogs are pack animals and by default think they are the alpha) A big part of the training is to help Chili understand that we are the alphas and he doesn’t have to call all the shots or constantly be “on guard”. To help Chili understand this, we correct unwanted behavior and strictly make sure our commands are followed through. Chili came to understand that we are his leaders and he can relax, feel safe, and let us call the shots. Through the physical nature of training, Chili was able to change his perception of his role in our “pack” and we feel like our dog trusts us now more than ever to take the lead. The trust goes both ways as we can now trust him to be around strangers, and walks are more enjoyable. We feel a much stronger bond with Chili than ever before. Chili has progressed with: -staying in "heel" during walks -staying on his "spot" with people over -no longer growls or lunges at strangers -can lay down for an entire car ride -leaves the cats alone when they get our attention -can perform commands on or off leash Jen was super easy to communicate with. When she boarded Chili between weeks 2-3 of training, she updated us every day with pictures and progress reports. After the 8 sessions, Jen even came out for a follow up session to guide us through bringing someone new into our home. I couldn’t recommend Jen and Lorenzos Dog Training Team enough. A big thank you to Eric Beck at Lorenzo’s dog training! We recently welcomed our first puppy (Maverick) into our busy family of 8. It was important to us to establish good habits from the beginning and Eric patiently taught us how to handle Maverick and establish a solid foundation. He even took Maverick for a long weekend when we needed a little extra support solidifying some of the commands - this was a big turning point in our success! After 8 sessions and our weekly practice we now feel confident in our ability to influence Maverick’s behavior. He lays in his spot while we eat dinner and remains down and calm amidst the chaos of our house and constant flow of kids and visitors. Bruce did a wonderful job with our dog. We were having a lot of trouble with him jumping up, chasing kids and dogs, pulling on the leash and fussing in his crate. Bruce has taught him and my Mother in law how to communicate, how Sherrie is the leader not her dog and has helped them both to attain the skills needed to have a very happy home. Her Rusty now sits on his spot nicely even with the grandkids running around, he is happy in his crate and walk patiently with her beside her wheel chair. Bruce did a fabulous job with our dog Rusty. Rusty had a very high energy level he was jumping up, charging doors and wouldn’t leave other dogs alone. Though he knew his commands he was very unreliable to listen or maintain. After Bruce’s training Rusty is amazing at staying on his spot no matter what is happening in the environment around him. He walks like a champ beside a wheelchair or a normal walk. He retrieves things when dropped and all in all is a whole new dog that we can thoroughly enjoy. Lorenzo's, specifically Bruce Maldonado, was recommended to us by our vet to help us with our two unruly rescues. We had tried "pet store" obedience training with one of our pups, but that did nothing for his reactivity and overall fear of people and other dogs. Both of our dogs pulled when being walked on leash, frequently barked at pedestrians from our house, and struggled to follow basic commands. Now our pups are so much better! A firm "no" goes a long way with both of them. They are crate trained and rarely bark indoors. I can now walk them by myself without getting pulled down the sidewalk! You have to be willing to commit to the training and be consistent with your dogs for the best results. When we started training with Bruce I made it very clear that I wanted to keep my dogs in my home during the training. He still agreed to work with us and came by once a week to teach us new training steps to improve our pups' behavior. Bruce was the trainer for our German Shepherd. She just didn’t listen and was aggressive towards animals and people before the training. The first day he came in we saw a notice of difference and by the end of six lessons. She is walking off leash and super good girl! It seems like a miracle, but it was 20 minutes of training three times a day and Bruce coming with his dog once a week to show us what we needed to do to make our girl comfortable and comfortable. Our two rescues had very little socialization skills with other dogs and often had high anxiety. We tried a lot of different approaches but ultimately decided on using Jenn when one of our dogs bit the other one during play requiring a few stitches. After training they have less anxiety and have skills to help manage themselves. Our walks in our neighborhood have gone from terrible situations with one or both dogs going crazy at the sight of another dog a block away to both being able to heel and quietly walk by dogs in a yard. This means we also have less anxiety when we take our dogs out and about, and they are able to go out with us more. They are getting better each day as most importantly we feel we have tools to guide and teach our dogs what is expected of them. Friends and family have noticed the difference when they come over and comment on how our dogs are much more at ease now. I would highly recommend Jennifer Bobkoskie and Lorenzo's Dog Training to anyone interested in having their dog trained and having incredible results. My parents took their dog to Lorenzo's and had amazing results so I decided that it was time for me to have my dog trained there as well. I adopted my dog when she was 12 weeks old and did not take her to be trained until she was a little over a year but I wish I had earlier. She knew just the basic training before like sit, down, and stay, but it was only when she wanted to listen, she was reactive towards other dogs and some people on walks, and I could not trust her off leash because she would just run and not come back like it was a game of keep away. Now after working with Jen she is a completely changed pup in her aspects of training, she of course still has all her quirky character traits and spunkiness. I feel more than comfortable taking her off leash in public around other dogs people and any situation that we may encounter like loud noises. Our walks have completely changed now from me avoiding walking by other dogs to being able to confidently walk past any dog with her being comfortable and in a perfect heel position. I can enjoy doing more things with my dog now like going to patios and many other places in public that I could not before. My dog and my relationship has grown so much more now after training. My friends and family have even complemented me on how my dog is now and how great the training turned out. Jen was everything I could ask for and more in a dog trainer. While my dog was away for training she gave many updates and sent many pictures and communicated well with me so that my mind was at ease while sending my best friend to be trained. During our training sessions Jen made teaching me the training very simple, easy to understand, and then do. When I was struggling with an aspect of the training I would bring it up during one of our sessions and she would provide me with solutions that worked amazing and helped influence my dog to follow the training Jen taught her and she knew, but that she was struggling with me. My dog was in great hands with Jen and I knew she truly cared about her and saw the bond they made and leaving the last session seeing her say goodbye to my dog solidified that I knew she was very well loved in her training. I highly recommend Bruce Maldonado as a trainer. We rescued our dog Chloe when she was about nine months old. Chloe had separation anxiety to the point that required medication and was so difficult on walks that she broke my wife’s wrist by pulling her over. Chloe would also not tolerate crating. Bruce educated us on dog behavior and how to earn Chloe’s respect. Within seconds he got Chloe in the crate and amazingly she never had a problem going in for any us after that. Now she runs there as a safe place when my son is antagonizing her! These days walks are relaxing since Chloe knows to stay on our left side. My daughter often walks her in the neighborhood without a leash and multiple neighbors have commented on how well she behaves. You won’t be disappointed in Bruce if you follow his recommendations. He trains dogs because he loves them and doesn’t want to see negative consequences from behavioral issues. It also helps that he was gifted a perfect voice for dog training. Old dogs really can learn new tricks! You will not find better than Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team! After having a newborn baby, we determined it was important to have our three large dogs (ages 10, 8 and 1) trained for safety reasons. After much research, we landed on LDTT. We had a virtual evaluation with Lorenzo himself. We discussed each dog individually and our goals for each dog. He reviewed the training program and assigned us two INCREDIBLE trainers. The communication at LDTT is unmatched. After the evaluation, James (our point person at LDTT) was accessible and easy to talk with to help us setup our sessions. I have to admit, we were a bit skeptical of how training would go with our older dogs. Our trainers, Julia and Victor, came to our house each session and were extremely patient with not only our dogs, but with us and juggling a newborn during training sessions. In fact, Victor pushed our daughter around in the stroller when she was being fussy while Julia taught the lesson! During this time, two of our dogs were boarded with the trainers and treated them as if they were their own. The most impactful lessons learned after training were: walking on leash without pulling, ignoring distractions while walking on leash, and sit/stay in place while in the house. We never knew we could cook and eat dinner without an audience of three dogs in the kitchen! LDTT has it together from beginning to end. I can’t recommend them enough! 10/10! Less

Once we had our second dog, we knew we wanted to go through Lorenzo’s again as we had a great experience with them the first time! Joe at Lorenzo’s has been absolutely amazing. I rescued a pitbull a year ago, she is roughly 7, and she is just a ball of love. Unfortunately, she was treated horribly by her past family, kept in a wire cage and solely used as a mama, and she had severe aggression towards men. Joe was able to work with her to influence positive experiences and behaviors toward everyone and completely turned her around. Joe and I continue to work with her, to build on those positive behaviors, and help Miss Nora to become the best that she can be, to few safe, loved and confident. Joe Dybala trained my 5 year old pitty mix Nala and we had a great experience. Joe set up an evaluation with her as soon as I reached out. My main focus was with her aggression towards other dogs due to a previous incident this past year and her being very protective of myself. Joe brought his dog Summer to evaluate Nala and it was amazing to see. Summer is a very highly trained dog and was able to show Joe exactly what he needed to see to properly train our Nala. Joe and Summer have an amazing bond built off of trust and to be able to have that with my Nala is so important. With just one week of Nala being with Joe, she went from not even being able to be in the same room with another dog to being around multiple without as much aggression as she had when I first reached out. That itself along with walks, crate training and day to day habits- I have seen a huge improvement on. I recommend Joe and Summer to everyone I know that has a dog, I have never felt more comfortable having her with Joe. It is never too late to build that trust and bond with your dog & I am so happy to have had the opportunity to have him train Nala, myself and my fiancé for us to be the best leaders for Nala and to keep up on the things Joe has shown us for her to live a better, healthier life. I first noticed some small signs of aggression with my great dane and after calling Lorenzo's dog training team I was soon in contact with Jessica. She helped me notice the fear signs in my dog and soon enough we started his simple obedience. I absolutely love the outcome I had. I recently inherited an eight year old husky with puppy-like energy. She had very little experience on-leash walking. Luis Garcia began working with her and I watched his dog knowledge—transferring his calm and confidence to Luce. The bigger issue was transferring that calm and confidence to me. With Luis’ amazing patience and encouragement, Luce and I are really enjoying our walking like real companions. I found Jacob Perez and Kelly Rzonca through a veterinarian recommendation because I needed help with my very reactive German Shepard mix. I really appreciated how quickly they responded to all our inquiries and offered to start helping right away, but Jacob and Kelly’s skill and passion for training my dog was undeniable once we began working together. They did an in person evaluation and identified needs and training opportunities specific to my dog and I during our first meeting. Some trainers I used in the past helped a little, but Jacob and Kelly were able to improve my dogs behavior and obedience to a level I wasn’t aware was possible for my dog. Bruce Maldonado was highly recommended by our veterinarian when we were discussing challenges with our puppy appearing overly afraid of people he didn’t know. Bruce was very forthright in explaining the techniques, as well as the psychology of a puppy facing their introduction to the world. I have been working specifically with Bruce and I can honestly say he has restored my hope and confidence with my dog being able to be around people and other animals. I was referred to Bruce by a good friend of mine, after already going to 3 trainers and spending a lot of money in the 3.5 years of having my dog. I had been told by previous trainers that there was nothing they could do, keep her in a crate, muzzle her, etc. To say I was hesitant at first going in was an understatement, but as soon as I saw him work with my dog during the consultation within 2 minutes, I knew I was going to get the results I had been looking for. He really does put all his effort into each and every one of his clients and is a very standup, respectable man. Bruce also works with the dog and owners to get the results they want and what works best for their lifestyle. From teaching dogs to run off leash by their owners who training for marathons, or reactivity training to allow a dog to be a part of events and family outings. I am still working with Bruce at this point, but in the amount of time that my dog and I have been working with him, she has show an increase in confidence and has made monumental strides in the right direction that has not been reached with any other trainer before. Not only does he put effort into the dog but he puts effort into the owners/handlers if that dog to teach and educate them, which is something that was never valued with previous training. I cannot give enough stars to our trainer Bruce Maldonado. When I say that he has changed our lives, I mean it quite literally. We have 2 beautiful dogs that we love with all of our hearts, but we were in quite a predicament. Our 3 year old Golden Retriever had been through a K9 off leash program as a puppy and that did absolutely nothing for us. If anything, the lack of actual training they gave us further amped up his aggressive behavior. He had been very food aggressive at the time and just wouldn’t listen at all. We ended up just feeding him alone because we had spent all this money on training and it did nothing. Believe it or not, we got another dog! This time, a German Shepherd. He has zero aggression, but of course needed training. I attempted to take both dogs on a walk by myself…BIG mistake. They saw another dog and both became super reactive. They ended up pulling me to the ground and dragging me as they attempted to chase the dog. The GR has bit every single one of us in an attempt to show us who’s boss. We were very seriously contemplating rehoming him, but as you can imagine that thought broke our hearts. A friend of mine referred Bruce to us and explained a little bit about what he did for her dogs. I was thrilled at the prospect of him helping us, but I could never have imagined how much he would change our lives. We have a COMPLETELY different GR. Whereas before, he could care less when we gave him commands, it is now evident that we have influence over him. He is now respecting us and we haven’t had any incidents of biting. Bruce has also alleviated a ton of anxiety from our 1 year old GSD. I was able to take them for a long walk together without having them be reactive or drag me down the road!! We were also able to take them on a beach vacation with us AND take them off leash! All in all, I can’t recommend Bruce enough. He will absolutely exceed your expectations. Less

Felton Conway has been so wonderful with our 5 month old mini golden doodle, Dewy. He is firm but oh so gentle with him and has prepared me well to be able to handle Dewy at home. Our dog had been resistance to training and we thought it wasn't going to be possible so reached out to Lorenzos for help. After boarding our dog with Felton for a week he came back a different dog, one that knew all his commands and was such a good boy :). I Run 911 Dog Rescue / Amy’s Adoptable’s We are a Registered 501(c)(3) Non-profit I am aware people have very strong feeling about dog training. Please know we are very aware of multiple types of training. Although all dogs , just like a child learn very differently. There is room for everyone as long as respect & research is followed. I unfortunately have to deal with several dogs no body wants ( typically no fault of the animal) if they have any anxiety or fear that can cause fear biting . In these situations it can be the difference between a dog being euthanized or being rehabilitated! Joe Dybala has shown us a VERY RESPECTABLE & RESPONSIBLE way to save these animals lives . All who know myself & Joe on a personal level know that we live and breathe for # 1 our Families including our animals # 2 Our love & RESPONSIBILITY to our passion for animals. My personal Dog Tully a very large 128# lab has learned his simple basic obedience with Joe . My concern was ….. if a door opens , I have a responsibility to keep my dog safe. I did a CORRECTION 2 x and Tully no longer approaches the door to run out and get hit by a car. That is it 2 times ! I would rather do a FIRM ( no screaming but calm and cool & quick and effective correction) as apposed to screaming and yelling . Tully also knows when approaching people he is not to jump and knock anyone over . As a child approached he knows to lay on his back. Joe is a very competent and effective professional trainer. If you are willing to put the work in then you will have knowledge that will last a lifetime to ensure you are a responsible dog owner as well as a confident dog that lives fear free . We humanize our animals ( I myself am guilty ) Tully is spoiled rotten ! ALTHOUGH we owe it to our relatives and family to ensure our pets are safe and well adjusted. I personally do not need a guard dog but Joe trains all the way through agility and protection. If I personally ever saw anyone hurt , scare or intimidate an animal I would be the first to call THEM OUT IN FRONT OF ANYONE - ANYTIME ! Joe has a passion and is very qualified. Less

Before the training the only command our dog would comply with was “sit”. We needed help with off leash “come command” and basic obedience. We had a free evaluation of our needs before we committed to the training contract. Amanda Rehmer, along with Alicia were dedicated to our success as well as Daisy’s, our very energetic 1 1/2 year old doodle. The trainers are thorough with explanation and constantly checking on the owners level of comfort and acceptance of the training philosophy. We always were. Okay. I’m going to try and make this as brief as I can. My senior dog has had a level of anxiety that we could never “shake.” Not only did Amanda and Nathan support him through some of his WORST anxieties but he GENUINELY came back more adjusted and I AM better trained on how to work with him through them. Looking at their dogs and how happy and well adjusted they are, we have experienced first hand how to use the right influence for our dogs to live a happy and well-adjusted life too.
