We recently worked with Blue Gum to design and build our new home in Kettering, - and what a great experience we've had. We braced ourselves for the difficulty in building remotely while visiting only monthly and we were honestly surprised at how well the entire process went. This was largely due to Blue Gum’s open communication and efficient project management throughout. Anthony, Andy, Cody and Bailey all made thoughtful suggestions during the build process and delivered on everything they promised. The fact that our house was completed on time underscores all of this.Before construction started we’d been working with Blue Gum and their recommended building designer for a year, right through the design, costing and council approval process. Blue Gum listened, took our budget seriously and made useful suggestions to manage costs. Their pricing for the entire construction was transparent, which we realise is very unusual.Our finished home is one that exactly meets our needs and feels warm, light and lovely. A real positive has been the responsive follow-up from Blue Gum for any minor matters now that we’ve moved in. They haven’t disappeared, which we know sets them apart from many others.We’d build again with Blue Gum - no hesitation.

We engaged Andy and Anthony from Blue Gum last year to quote for our new build. They were nothing but patient, honest, and incredibly helpful throughout. Although we didn’t end up going ahead with them due to our budget constraints, I still would highly recommend them to everyone.They are genuinely great people who aren’t just focused on winning business - they take real pride in what they do and approach everything with honesty and integrity. It’s been a 45 year dream to design and build a home. The collaborative approach at Blue Gum Design + Build made it all possible. I still remember the first meeting with Andy and the designer on a freezing, wind swept day at our block. We now have a space that is restorative, peaceful and a joy to spend time in. From start to finish it was a pleasure working with Andy, Anthony and all the rest of the team at Blue Gum Design and Build. From initial visit through to the hand over at the end, everyone was extremely helpful and professional. We have been in our fully renovated upper story (kitchen, main bathroom, ensuite, new balustrade, full internal paint and new flooring) for a month now and could not be happier. Anthony came out to my house to check out options for gaining more usable space at our property. Friendly and very generous with time and knowledge in helping me understand what is possible as well as discussing rough prices for the different types of work. Bluegum were a dream to work with over the ridiculous expanse of a build made complex by council. They were understanding and patient with me as a first home builder/buyer and made many possibly difficult situations a breeze. Can't recommend them highly enough.
