I rarely leave negative reviews, but this feels warranted. I would strongly caution anyone considering this facility to carefully consider my experience before leaving their dog here.I paid $3,000 for a two-week board-and-train program. Unfortunately, I saw very little improvement in my dog’s behavior afterward, despite the significant amount of money I paid. He came back knowing sit and down but that is just about it. His reactivity toward other dogs is still high and he struggles to walk on a leash without a prong or ecollar. I didn’t expect my dog to be perfect considering he spent 5 years of his life in a shelter. However, don’t promise a great experience and expertise with high energy/reactive older dogs if that is not true. I also felt extremely pressured at the start to choose them. They took a deposit from me without telling me it was nonrefundable until after they charged my card. When I expressed my concerns about my dogs lack of training success, I was offered additional training at no cost, but I did not feel that the issue was meaningfully addressed. I live an hour away from their facility and it isn’t feasible to come as frequently as he would need to be successful in his training. Additionally, there were also other issues following the two-week board-and-train. My dog came home with a wound that appeared to be from the shock/bark collar, he fell off the treadmill while there and had a wound on his leg, and subsequently developed an ear infection and respiratory infection.Unfortunately, my experience became even more concerning after boarding my dog there again over this past weekend. It took me almost an hour to drop my dog off because they put him in the system wrong and had a new employee managing the entire place alone. This ended up making me late to work which is truly unacceptable. Ive used several boarding places before for my other dogs and at most it’s taken me 10 minutes to do a drop off. To make it worse, when I picked my dog up, his paws were covered in feces and he smelled so strongly. His bath water was straight brown and my car smelled like shit. I brought these concerns to the owner, hoping they would take responsibility and make the situation right. Instead, I felt that my concerns were met primarily with excuses and a statement that staff would receive more training. I was not offered a meaningful resolution. I am sharing this because I wish I had known about these experiences before spending well over $3,000 with this business and continuing to trust this facility with my dog.Their claims to my review are also incorrect:First, regarding the deposit: I called for an initial consultation to ask questions about the board-and-train program and pricing. During that call, I provided my card information with the understanding that I was placing a deposit to hold a spot while I gathered information from other facilities before deciding where I wanted to send my dog. After the card was charged, I was told that the deposit was nonrefundable. At that point, I felt that I had little choice but to proceed with this facility.Second, the statement that I received a refund of over $1,700 is incorrect. I have never received a $1,700 refund, nor have I received a refund for the training or boarding services. I would welcome documentation showing when and how this alleged refund was issued.Third, the statement regarding Cash being dropped off with worms needs context. I did not know he had worms when I brought him in. When it became apparent that he had worms, I picked him up within approximately five minutes, took him directly to the vet, and had him treated. I then provided the facility with veterinary clearance and brought him back several days later. Presenting this as though I knowingly brought a dog with worms to a boarding facility is misleading.I also did not show up before 9 AM. I actually showed up at 9:02 and did not leave until almost 9:45. Cash had dog poop on him as it was on my leg and foot when he jumped on me and it had to be wiped off with several wipes, so please try again.
