We have just started down the route of getting heat pump quotes. Mark undertook a comprehensive heat loss survey of our property and was able to answer all my questions about the intended design, limitations of our current gas boiler wet radiator system with microbore. I have confidence in the knowledge, skill and expertise that has been exhibited to date that a good installation will result. Mark was happy to provide references to similar installations.The heat pump and radiator upgrades were installed over the 1st week in July 2023. The level of professionalism and craftsmanship was evident from start to finish across all trades that attended. Electrician and heating engineers, even the waste collection team who took all the metal away for scrap.

Excellent service, as usual. I emailed Mark about our problem and was informed Dean would arrive the next afternoon, which he did. Boiler serviced, problem addressed. Like Mark, Dean is very knowledgeable and very polite. He also messaged me two days later (a Saturday) to check all was well - which it was. Highly recommended on all counts. I'll be back, as the man said.

Booked a heat pump service some months in advance. They failed to turn up and I was told the sub contractor wasn’t working. Mark then said he would provide another date. He failed to come back to me despite a text asking for a response. Strange way to do business

Mark and his team replaced our aging boiler. Mark had visited beforehand and assessed what was required and recommended which replacement boiler would be right for our needs. His team (Neil, Gary and Milo) were very professional, kept us informed as the change over developed and found solutions to the few unanticipated problems that cropped up during the installation. Another thanks to their electrician, Harry, who came in on the final day to update, very efficiently, the new wiring requirements. A wholehearted recommendation to Mark and JMR heating & energy

I found Mark from JMR Heating and Energy Ltd via the Heat Geek Website. I first made contact via email and he offered advice and support before we even had drawings. When we had council approval and drawings we got him back for a more detailed visit and heat loss Survey. Once our renovation was ready for our system to be installed, Mark and his team easily installed our wet underfloor heating with a Viessman ASHP and tank. I 100% endorse Mark to design, supply and install your system for you and am confident you won’t be disappointed.

Mark & his team have installed a heat pump & hot water tank, to replace an old boiler. In summary, it has been a very professional delivery, by a team who are obviously knowledgeable Heat engineers, not simply plumbers. We started discussions last year, and Mark took me through a very detailed Heat Loss survey, to determine existing shortcomings in heat output, and how to resolve them. To back this up he installed thermostats in various rooms over Christmas period to read actual heat loss. This gave me the confidence that the pump sizing would be correct, and seems to be standard practice for Heat Geek engineers. Mark's quote provided 2 options, and he talked me through the detail, with no pressure, just focusing on the correct solution for us. This involved where best to site the external unit. Having agreed the quote and start date, Mark sorted all the paper-work to apply for the BUS grant, and other certificates. From start to finish, Marks' team proved very professional, and kept disruption to a minimum. They were polite, tidy, and always arrived early to get cracking. Where required, my input was sought, to agree positioning, and the resultant pipework is very neat...such a shame to have to lag it! This included the electrician, who had more work to deliver than I had realised. The install is now complete, and commissioned, and delivering hot water as expected. I look forward to the colder months when the real benefits of the heat pump will be realised. Next step is to get rid of the gas meter, and its standing charge. I am very pleased we have gone down this route to reduce our carbon footprint, it gives we a warm feeling that I am doing the right thing. I am also very happy that I made the original contact with Mark at JMR Heating & Energy to begin this process, and the experience during the installation leaves me confident we will reap the benefits of comfort and savings over time. Would I recommend Mark & his team to friends & neighbours...Absolutely, 100%! Well done guys

Mark and his team did a great job installing our Vaillant Arotherm Plus 7kw. It has performed excellently over the winter (averaging a COP of 4.2 from December to end of Feb in a 1930s semi with solid brick walls). I would highly recommend him for your install.

Mark has provided plumbing & heating services to us for the past two years, and hopefully for many more years to come. From our annual boiler service to re-designing and fitting both our bathrooms. As Pensioners he understands our needs and priorities. Mark's first class skills and knowledge is able to diagnose and solve a problem first time, and he thinks ahead by moving controls so its easy for us to access. Unfortunately in the UK there’s a lack of knowledge on air source heat pumps from the consumer to the installers. I’ve seen and heard horror stories on installs with ASHP’s. Firstly you’d be hard pressed to find someone with more knowledge on these than mark but the quality of his installs are second to none.The ongoing support mark gives to help you get the most out of your ASHP ,his reliability, quality of work and all round genuine guy I’d recommended to anyone. Whether your looking to replace a newer ASHP like me or changing into ASHP marks your man!!
