Okay. I first want to start this review by saying I don’t think Chanel intentionally meant for me to have a bad experience, but she has to do better. I wish you the best with your success. I hope you continue to get your coins but my experience has been so disappointing to say the least.I booked back in December for ktips. She was running a promo asking for ktip models. As a model you would receive half off services. As we were texting to set up my appointment she let me know that as a model my hair will turn out even better b/c I am a model. Which, in my head this was kind of a red flag but I decided to ignore it.The day of my appointment comes and I’m sitting in her chair. I let her know that I want it filled in more at the top bc I’ve noticed in her videos that the girls have a lot of their hair out with no tips attached. My hair is shorter in the front and I didn’t want to have issues with blending it especially since I’m not use to styling curly hair. Yes, my natural hair is curly but I typically do not wear it that way. So, she said she can add more to the front but it’ll cost me more. I said okay fine no problem; how much. She said she has to see how much hair is left. I asked her this two pre times before she got to the top area “how much more is it going to cost”. She did not give me a price.Whout. No response. Please, also keep in mind that prior to our conversation when I booked she told me “ktips require no maintenance” . Now, I know I need to wash my hair, but to me it sounds like I do not need to come back to her for anything.I continue to reach out and reach out and I get nothing from her. Just silence.Fast forward to I want to say February. She posts a video on Tik tok about how a lady came to her for k tips and did not have a good experience. In the video Chanel is apologizing. She also said in the video how the girl did not receive her email with how noto care for her tips. So, I chime in on the comments, respectfully letting her know that I did not either. And, because of it I did not know how to care for my ktips and I now have free form dreads forming in my hair. I also let her know that I really want them out . Instead of apologizing and asking for photos of my hair or seeing if I can come in so she can take a look, she gives a rebuttal. She then goes and takes the video down (we went back and forth quite a bit in the comments) however I have screenshots.It took me four months to find someone to take these tips out of my hair because no one wants to take out tips they did not put in. And the cost financially as well as on my hair has been costly. I’m in someone’s chair right now getting them taken out and my scalp hurts so bad. She’s doing her best to save my hair. But, it’s so matted ! Chanel, this was wrong. My bonds were sooooo big! Way tooo big for the amount of my natural hair that they were attached to. Your assistant bonds were actually done better than yours . They were a lot smaller.I know you have clients that come in from Dallas and whenever to get services from you. And I think that is amazing! I’m glad you found another way to succeed financially especially after hearing your story from you. You’re a beautiful woman and I hope god continues to bless you! But, you have to give everyone the same experience. I can tell just from the videos you post that my experience was not the same as theirs. I did not get any snacks or beverages. I didn’t get any luxury services that would be offered at a luxury salon.I’ve lost so much of my natural hair getting these ktips out. My scalp is tender. Ignoring someone when all they want are care instructions after spending thousands with you is wild. My bond sizes are crazy inconsistent. You know that much hair should not be added to that amount of my natural hair causing it to weigh it down and pull it out. I wish you continue success!
