I needed a very high and long Retaining wall re-built, so I contacted a number of landscaping / masonary firms to get a quote, however some of them never replied, and others once I explained what I need done suddenly found that they didn't do retaining walls. By chance I saw a truck with Chavez landscaping on it and called their number, my call was answered by Mr. Jose Chavez who agreed to meet with me the following morning, he arrived on time and saw my problem and made suggestions as to fixing it. we agreed a price and he told me that his work team would start work the following week When the Team arrived they were very polite and worked very hard in the extremely hot weather, they done a fantastic job, I am very pleased with the work and would reccommend the Firm to anyone needing landscaping or Patio / Paving work done. When I do reviews, I try to do them as fairly as possible. So in my review I will list some things that I really liked about this company and some things that I didn’t like. Pros Jose the main person who I spoke with was really nice. He was very caring and when I asked him about something, he was always very knowledgeable and addressed my concerns. J&R landscaping did an awesome job on my patio and I’m very happy with it. They went above and beyond what I expected them to do. Cons I asked the contractor if the company offered warranties and they said absolutely. But they were very vague with it and didn’t want to elaborate. I had asked for a small roof to be built over the patio. J&R landscaping outsourced it, and whoever did the job didn’t do it well. I say this because It rained and leaks came through. I’d say the roof had been fully finished being built for about 2 weeks by this point. I tried talking to J& R landscaping about it, I messaged them, and gave ample time to respond. By ample time, I mean I gave them a month to respond. I sent them videos of the roof leaking and I never got a response. TLDR: They did a good job, and the patio they built was beautiful, I’m very pleased with it. But they were really stubborn when I asked them to rectify a mistake they made. Update: Jose got back to me and said the roof would be repaired. Waiting to see if he follows through. Final update: J&R landscaping made good on their word and the roof seems to be fixed. J&R Landscaping has been great! I had gone through multiple contractors requesting quotes on my building my patio and resurfacing my deck. J&R Landscaping were the only ones that seemed to want my work. All others came in either way over priced or did not want to be bothered with the work itself. I can tell you first hand their workmanship is top notch and if I had any concerns they readily received my calls and were at my property to go over my concerns. Jose and his crew did such an amazing job. They created a paver patio with steps leading to the already existing playset and built a wood border around the playset and filled it with mulch. They replaced a failing concrete walkway to the front door with beautiful paver stones. Jose is more than reasonable with pricing and is true to his word and very communicative. i will absolutely be doing business with him again. A++++ Less
