Family-owned, I think Bridge Motors is one of the best body shops in Portland. They earned my greatest respect because they didn’t compromise customer service. Along with expert workmanship, kindness and understanding is mentioned in many of the other reviews. Other shops couldn’t get me in for months, or wouldn’t help me because my twice stolen car was too old. Thankfully, I was referred to Bridge Motors and Wilmar took my car in that day. I’m in my 70’s and Wilmar took care of me beyond all of my expectations. This happened during a difficult time in my life. My insurance ‘totaled’ the car. Nonetheless, Wilmar helped me out with transportation, navigating the insurance settlement, and he continued to support me while I was out looking for a used car to buy. This was above and beyond. I met almost all of the staff, and they are highly experienced, unquestionably honest and truly made me feel they had my best interest at heart. Work was done promptly and well on an old car at a fraction of the cost that other body shops were asking. After initial discussion and agreement, they took an approach to repair that was appropriate for an older vehicle, i.e. fix what needs to be fixed but don’t waste money trying to make it look exactly like new. Wilmar and his team do amazing work. My car was destroyed after a garbage truck swiped it during a routine trash pickup, and I thought it wasn’t salvageable, but they somehow made it look brand new.
