I really cant say enough positive about my experience with Units. The process started with the delivery driver off loading the unit on our very difficult street in the woods. He used a remote controlled dolly to navigate the unit down our gravel driveway and locating it perfectly in place and level around all of our obstructions due to it being a construction zone. Within minutes of being delivered the owner called me and asked me if everything met my satisfaction. I am now on a first name basis with the owner. The unit was impeccable quality and looked brand new. It wasn't until later I learned from the owner the unit was a few years old. I will never go anywhere else for my future storage needs. A container was put in place in our driveway within 2 days and stayed there until we finished the basement renovation. They can store your container for you at their facility if you want, but we needed to get in and out of the container since it was our stand-in basement! Not only was the container reasonably priced, but also every person I spoke with throughout the entire process was friendly, helpful and a delight to interact with! My name is James and I live in upper Arlington - I recently did a move where I needed to store my things for about a month and a half while leaving the old place and waiting for the new one to be ready. The first thing that came to mind was some of the big name brands and when I googled mobile storage units - I believe the word “units” brought me to this amazing locally-owned business called units storage. I gave them a call and left a voice message. My call was returned within 15 minutes. In fact I have called units several times over the months that I was a client and it was the same experience. I would leave a message and they will call me back promptly, having listened to my message and having answers ready when they called. In addition I spoke to the actual owner Steve many times. He seemed genuinely concerned and interested in me and my family and why we were moving, what kind of things we were moving, where the kids went to school etc. As far as the process and the pricing… It was incredibly easy. Their prices are competitive and a very good value. The monthly storage is cheaper than some of the more recognizable brand names. The associate who delivered the unit was on time right when he said he would be there and even texted me when he was on the way. He knew what he was doing and made the drop off and pick up process super easy. I didn’t even have to be there if I didn’t want to be. When I was finally to the point where I was unloading my stuff I noticed that nothing had shifted or broke everything was as we had left it. I have also heard from the owner after our business was concluded. He is community member of my neighborhood and I would highly recommend contacting Steve at units moving and storage. A few easy questions and my UNIT arrived right on schedule and was delivered in the location and facing that I requested. The UNIT is a clean, solidly built container, sturdy with wooden floors and strong doors that clamp shut and lock securely. One short step up and you are inside, easily handled by an appliance dolly. Durable blankets and tie-downs designed to clip into the walls of the UNIT are available. I took 3 weeks to load it and had no worries about security with it padlocked in my driveway (I used my own lock). It was rained on heavily and repeatedly, but no leaks, seriously, not a drop. I called for pickup and it was gone the next day. My UNIT had been in storage for several months when I discovered that I REALLY needed a few items from it. I called and the OWNER met me early on a Saturday morning at their facility, when they are normally closed, and let me get what I needed. Walking through the place, it was well-lit, dry, clean, and very secure. Your stuff is safe here! The UNITs were neatly stacked in rows, well labeled and easily identified. This place has everything you want from your moving and portable storage provider: sturdy containers, clean, secure, dry, reliable, easy to use, helpful and friendly, professional, exceptional customer service, and a great value. My items are going to be in storage for a year or two and I feel very comfortable knowing they are safe and secure. Owner Steve Bergfeld is attentive, helpful, and cares about doing a great job! They were punctual dropping off the pod and they were able to maneuver the unit right in front of my house in the tight streets of German Village. It was very helpful for the movers. They picked up the unit the next morning, so that we were not a burden on our neighbors in terms of parking. I love that they worked with our timeline and the unit was super clean and sturdy.
