We brought our caravan sown here for 5days it was lovely it's a great park probably needs a little upkeep but the little bar Cafe was a great set up

We come to check out the park before staying here with the family after watching the videos etc on Fb & we we’re disappointed, it wasn’t what we expected at all. The pool slide wasn’t there & pool area looks dirty & tacky, the bbq area was grubby. The place just looked abandoned & a lot mess at the front of the park when you enter it’s not a good look. We won’t be recommending I’m sorry

It is in a quiet location, good for swimming in shallow water and is pet friendly, there is a fenced yard for your pet to walk freely. There is a shop very close by that also serves food. The showers are hot, which is a plus. Was a good place to stop overnight.

Really impressed with a recent stay at this park. They have certainly put some work into the presentation! We had lots of rain which was a bit of a downer and the midges are a pest, but we’d love to come back!

Great family caravan park with big grassy sites right by the water. Lovely family who run the place. Great spot to explore not too far away attractions such as Maryborough and Burrum Heads, and Hervey Bay the other direction.

Great location, right by the sea, pool with a little water slide, nice places with power sockets and fresh water supply, nice little shop and restaurant that does different meals most evenings, big and clean bathrooms, washing machines and clotheslines available, dog friendly.

Poona is such a small quiet place. Only one little store, where the steak sandwich was mighty fine. Very friendly lady in the store, who was more than happy to have a chat. Not many places you can go that aren't developed to the max these days, but Poona is the exception.

We had such an amazing experience at Poona Palms Holiday Park! Everything was so easy and very relaxed, exactly what we needed. What a great park this is. Very quiet peaceful spot a short walk to the water. Toilets and showers clean and tidy. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

My second stay here nice quiet caravan park during off peak times. Nice and close to the beach and boat ramp . Amenities are always very clean even when it is busy 9ver holiday periods. Friends are staying in one of the motel units very tidy and well equipped has been renovated in recent times. Highly recommend visiting here.

It was such a beautiful experience staying here that I did not want to leave. It was like paradise and I would thoroughly recommended this holiday park to everyone. I cannot speak highly enough of this place.

We were quoted a price but it was more when we arrived and I was told that the price changes daily.? There were Ppl who had the same amount of Ppl and charged differently. We paid $182 for a slab site but didn't get a slab ? The kids loved the pool but I didn't see anyone clean it in 2 days and it's open until 8 pm with no lighting . Unit was very clean and comfortable. Take care not to park under the coconut palms.

If I could rate this place a zero I would. They called us at 5pm on the day we were supposed to arrive and proceeded to advise us we couldn't check in after 8pm (we were coming from Brisbane). Nowhere on their website or booking confirmation emails mentioned that the latest check-in was 8pm, despite them telling me repeatedly it was on there and me repeatedly telling them it wasn't. When I asked if they had an after hours check in process, as pretty much every other campsite we've ever stayed at has, they proceeded to lie again and tell me they can't do it due to regulations... if every other campground can do it then regulations are not the reason they wouldn't do it, their laziness was the reason - the owner just didn't want to go out of their way or get out of bed. When I asked what they wanted me to do as they were our accommodation for the night they advised me of a free camp 30mins from them... they left a young family with an infant with no accommodation for the night mere hours before we were supposed to arrive. I was offered no apology and was greeted with rudeness when I asked for a full refund. What's worse is the owner made his receptionist call and say all this to me, all the while I can hear him in the background telling her what to say... worst business I have EVER had the displeasure of having to deal with. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place AT ALL COSTS! Less

Beautiful location, relaxing feel to the place too. An old-school style caravan park, which is what makes this place special. Was about 2/3 full this last weekend so not overcrowded at all. Stayed with a group and we all had a good time. The kids had a blast playing with each other on a big open grass area in between our camp sites. They also loved the water slide in the pool. We'll be back!

Amazing little place to unwind,clean tidy facilities,take all the food you'll need cose theres not much around but that's one of the good things about the place..

Great spot to relax for a few days

Lovely park located on the waters edge. Great for fishing and just relaxing away from the Hussel and Bussel of every day life.

Good atmosphere , friendly staff, well set up bush kitchen, tidy park, would recommend a look if in the area.

Stayed there 2 nights very nice clean rooms and really comfortable showers had plenty of hot water no complaints

A quiet place to stay for a weekend. Park is quite basic. Facilities are clean and the showers are hot..unless your really keen on fishing there is really not much else to do here..midges are a problem don't forget the aeroguard. The park is dog friendly which is a bonus.

Nice quiet Park with large sites and Friendly staff. Fishing was great, had a feed of whiting on second day. Bring your yabby pump, heaps of yabbys.

Nice tidy park good showers BBQs a bit slow to heat up good dog enclosure and dog wash good cabins Nice and quiet. Good community centre for Friday night meals.

We are here for 9 nights. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Pet friendly which is great for us. Powered sites are big and spacious. There are also cabins here and prices are very reasonable...

Awesome peaceful place. And if you have dogs they have a dog park for them. Only a short walk to the beach.

We went in to go to the store and found it closed very disappointing in the middle of the morning.

I really like this caravan park. The staff are super helpful and the amenities are clean and take care of everything you could want (including a dog wash)!

Was only visiting family here but found it very nice. Lots of families clean not alot of noise. Nice pool area and close to the beach.

Very well run caravan park

Big sites, good location. Sand flies can be a problem if it's wet. Donny is always welcoming. Some disruption due to new cabins going in. Good walks, canoeing, fishing - no eateries except Friday night community hall.

Sorry but this park is old and rundown. Amenities block was a bit smelly but clean.

Poorly maintained, photos looked not as it was, mosquito's where real bad, good place to take boats. Overall wouldnt return

Safe and friendly park. The amenities couldn't use a good scrub and the pool needs some extra shade.

Relaxing little oasis to forget about all else. Activities you can do: Kayak, Swim, Drop a crab pot, Boat or land fishing. Tennis court around the corner from park if you are keen. A real gem location.

The owner was very rude to me when I approached him but I guess he was to busy drinking with the locals around the pool than to worrie about his guests. And the pool was not in a good way at all rusty bolts holding the stairs together and moss all over the steps that made it realy slippery . The park facilities are excellent and considering we were there a week, very economical. If I had anything to complain about it would be the lack of a general store or 7-11 in the area.

Lovely grass sites amenities clean, pool to cool off in..a shop for your ice cream, and things you have forgotten. Open waters to Fraser Island, what else could you ask for..

Great spot. Cabins are waterfront. Tidal boat launch. Right on the Great Sandy Strait. Bring own food as liitle available in Poona. Maryborough shops are 30km.

Beautiful and clean cabins. Very relaxing place to stay. Few midges not many. Good spot if you're into fishing. Water is a bit iffy so take your own.
