First and foremost: I would hire Umoja Events again in a heartbeat. I was referred to Umoja by a colleague who used them for another event at our workplace (TNC). I was unable to attend that event but decided to hire Umoja based on the great responses I received from others. I started a conversation with Umoja but due to a family emergency was out of the office for two weeks. After I came back, Athenia agreed to going ahead with the event with only a week's notice. Now to the best part: The Virtual Party. It was loads of fun. We were split into teams for some friendly competition. The game really engages your competitive spirit and the questions were informative and spanned all subjects. After my team lost, my energy was revived by the DJ who got us out of seats to dance and was the perfect hype man (if I could only have him follow me around all day to provide that spark). Excellent service! Our circle of friends had gotten together to send memorial flowers to the family of our dearly departed childhood friend. Turns out one of his brothers also passed away just a few days after. During one of the worst snowstorms Brooklyn has seen in several years, the Covid19 pandemic and a double funeral, Umoja Events didn't' skip a beat! Umoja Events and their florist went above and beyond to locate the exact memorial plant we requested and delivered each memorial thru the snow and on time! Umoja Events hosted an amazing, interactive New Year celebration for our organization this month, and it was a much-needed time of joy and laughter. Thank you to Athenia and her spectacular team for being so accommodating and providing a high-quality virtual party! The DJs were great and not only got the celebration started right, but also ended the time with a dance party! We chose trivia as our game and had over 70 people playing on various teams. The host was engaging and kept the pace moving along nicely. And to top it all off, we had cocoa bombs sent to participants which we delicious.
