Hands down the best place for Jiu-jitsu. All of the coaches pay close attention to detail and really work hard on making sure the kids are not just there to play around and actually learn unarmed combat and physical training. I cannot express how much Ryan and his team at GBJJ mean to my family! My son was self conscious and couldn’t find an organized sport that he loved. We put him in at GBJJ and he immediately became obsessed with going and found a family with the coaches and his team! It has changed him so much and now he has much more confidence and drive! We then added our younger daughter and she has really thrived and loves going. It makes me feel so much better knowing she will have these skills in life. It takes them out of their comfort zone and gives them the opportunity to find out how badass they can be. After seeing how much my kids enjoyed it and getting fomo, I then joined and have been training here for a year. I am a terrible student, but Ryan and all the coaches and members are so patient with me and I have so much fun! I absolutely love GBJJ and it is a huge part of my family’s life!! Granite bay Jiu Jitsu is the best BJJ academy I have trained at in 21 years of Jiu jitsu. Coach Ryan puts his heart and soul into every aspect of the place, from his ecological based always improving approach to teaching techniques and concepts, to the immense attention and care he gives to each and every class and student. The gym has over 300 total members across both kids and adult classes and Coach Ryan could tell you the name of every individual in the class at any given time. He cares a lot and it shows. It’s a great facility with a welcoming group of people well suited for all skill levels. There is a very large number of brown and black belts as well that are always available to stop and help people that need a little extra attention. The coaches are great, the facility is team and family oriented, and the kids love him and the classes. Simply the best, second to none. Less
