Hands down the best place for Jiu-jitsu. All of the coaches pay close attention to detail and really work hard on making sure the kids are not just there to play around and actually learn unarmed combat and physical training. Wish we would have found this place much sooner than we did. My son is learning so much here and looks forward to coming into class every week. Would highly recommend!

GBJJ is a great resource center for the development of effective self defense. Ryan has designed a curriculum that is both age appropriate, safe, and fun. His kids program is absolutely top tier with structure, discipline, and development of life-long skills.

I cannot express how much Ryan and his team at GBJJ mean to my family! My son was self conscious and couldn’t find an organized sport that he loved. We put him in at GBJJ and he immediately became obsessed with going and found a family with the coaches and his team! It has changed him so much and now he has much more confidence and drive! We then added our younger daughter and she has really thrived and loves going. It makes me feel so much better knowing she will have these skills in life. It takes them out of their comfort zone and gives them the opportunity to find out how badass they can be.After seeing how much my kids enjoyed it and getting fomo, I then joined and have been training here for a year. I am a terrible student, but Ryan and all the coaches and members are so patient with me and I have so much fun! I absolutely love GBJJ and it is a huge part of my family’s life!! Ryan is the absolute best, he is ridiculously funny, has a huge heart and really knows his stuff. He is continuously studying and is constantly evolving things. I highly recommend GBJJ!!

Ryan is not just an exceptional coach but also one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve ever met. I followed him everywhere he went because his coaching is unmatched, and the environment he creates is so supportive and inspiring. Training at his academy truly changed my life, and I’ll always be grateful for the foundation he gave me. His instruction is top-notch—he consistently stays up to date with the latest techniques and concepts from modern jiu-jitsu, studying from the best like John Danaher and Gordon Ryan. That dedication to excellence is reflected in the quality of his teaching and the progress of his students. Now, I have the privilege of training under John Danaher at Renzo Gracie Austin, and I can confidently say that Ryan’s approach is on par with the best in the world.
