I was hoping Google would allow me to give 0 stars, because that’s exactly what Brea Oakes deserves.I “won” the scam Brea Oakes calls a “female empowerment giveaway,” but it is ANYTHING but. They will deceive you into thinking you’ve “won” something amazing & will even reassure you that the “minimum album price” is *only* $1700. Ladies, that isn’t REMOTELY true—in fact, it’s nearly double that. There is nothing in their “menu” less than $2k+, & the smallest album is $3200.Maybe that exorbitant cost could’ve been palatable somehow—they call it “an investment in yourself” & coat it in all sorts of other language that truly does exactly what they are told intend to—convince you that this is for you. An experience. Etc, etc. When I learned their real prices (after I paid the deposit, of course), they failed to address my concerns in any meaningful way. They sidestepped entirely, simply saying “we have payment plans!” No. Just no.I quickly learned (via other brides on reddit) that this is an incredibly common marketing scheme. You think you’ve won this incredible deal, so you become more ok with handing over thousands upon thousands of dollars…when plenty of reputable studios do this for far, FAR less.Unless you’re in the top 1% or have infinite disposable income, please please don’t trust Brea Oakes. Learn from my unfortunate mistake. At first, it truly did feel so empowering to have “won”—but it quickly became a pit in my stomach and $250 down the drain when I’m trying to plan a wedding on a resident salary. They’ve not responded to my multiple requests for a refund on the grounds of misrepresentation (when I repeatedly confirmed that the smallest album was a *meager* $1700–again, the real cost is nearly double that at $3200). I promise you, unless you have infinite funds at your disposal, your money is better spent almost *anywhere* else.See my full discussion with them below.
