A very popular, iconic local caterer and long-time member of the Kaneohe Windward community. We arranged multiple choice take-out selections for a picnic at a well-known nearby botanical garden.
Pretty standard, local, okazuya. Not many on the windward. It decent, my baseline for okazuya. Yakisoba is light on vegetables and meat. Fried chicken was slightly dry, but everything else is tasty. My go-to is the chicken katsu, nishime and seaweed wraps. The maki rolls are alright, so I usually don't get it. Service is pretty typical, since there are many people ordering. You have to order quickly, but they aren't rushing you. The environment just feels that way. Service is friendly. I wish you can sit down, like it was before covid. However, no place to sit so you have to take out only. Kind of lame, since most places allow sitting inside again. We got 3 plates, somen, and maki for about $65, it's not bad for the food you get. Beautiful people, beautiful food, beatiful start to the day! Mahalo!
Loved the California roll cone
Fried chicken no flavor. Kakiage tempura ok not crispy. Noodles no flavor. Ahh maybe I came on wrong day. Spicy bomb ok. 1 piece good enough
One of the best bento shop in Kaneohe. Price is reasonable too
What happened?! Used to have really good musubis. But today the spam musubi with egg had like little to no flavor. The egg was dry, the rice has dry.. can you guess what I'm going to say about the spam? At least the arabiki sausage and inari was good.
Great food and great people
Service was great, food was awesome and atmosphere pretty welcoming. Had the chicken katsu and Teri chicken bento along with another plate of garlic chicken katsu. It was ono!! We went on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. If you gotta wait long time, you know the food is good. It didn't disappoint!! Great place for food. I would definitely go again. They are CLOSED on TUESDAYS! I was craving their bentos!! My daughter and i go crazy for their LongRice=) super ono-licious!!
Great to pick up and go picnicking.
I try to go here every time I am on this side of the island
Food is good but it's a little pricey here. I love the sweet spicy poke.
Insanely good food, wonderful staff!
We are in vacation and went to the botanical gardens nearby. We needed gas and lunch so when we pulled in to the parking lot there was a steady stream of people going in to this place. While my husband filled up with gas we went into this place. Everything we bought was delicious. It is to go only.
Excellent family shop, this was the highlight of my trip to Hawaii
The auntie's working there this morning were so patient and helpful!
Yummy food, great service! The spicy ahi hand roll is delicious!
So much selection from poke to crab cakes and other great eats. I like stopping by and grabbing hand rolls to go as a snack. The hand rolls are very yummy but the seaweed wrapping is a bit soggy? Idk it doesn’t crunch but it’s still good. Decent prices, the staff is also super helpful. The poke is alright.
1st time here. Get takeout for a group of 4 picking out the following. Teriyaki chicken pieces were very hard and seemed dry altho in the Teri sauce. The noodles tasteless. Cone sushi was good. Vegetable tempura was pretty good. Corned beef hash was good. Overall found the food average. Nothing special.
Best local okazuya food
I liked my katsu bento box, but my wife thought her various ahi rolls were lacking. One thing I can say - this place seems to offer a good value 👍. Plenty of chicken in my bento box and a short wait if you're in a hurry.
とてもおいしいおすすめのカネオヘのおかずや。ハワイアンフードもおいしかった❣️

Place is awesome food is ono
Pricey but ono when needing you okazu-ya fix
Great to go and grab lunch place. Local, fresh, and lots of choices.
Ono food. Good service. No place to eat inside, but that's ok.
Good place to see local hotties. Yup, spam musubi I'm looking at you.
I seem to have better luck than others here. The selection is pretty darn good, even a little after their lunch rush. Their hand rolls are so good, it’s always my go to. I plan on returning to try the chocolate chip pancakes!
Just a great hole in the wall, local favorite place to grab and go. Everything is delicious and affordable. Highly recommend! Staff are so friendly and accommodating!
Shared adobo plate
Simply the best, far too much of my paycheck goes here but it's worth every penny. Love the hand rolls, spicy tuna bowls, and spam egg musubis 💕
I see people standing in a line to get in during Saturdays, so I go weekdays. I really like the Ahi poke ball. I will go for it again
$9.95 for a mini Kahlua plate was a ripoff. Chicken long rice noodles over cooked. Never coming back here
Seriously this place is so good I don't even have to say anything. For real.
Local delicious musubi, poke, fried shrimp tempura poke bowls,Nigiri and a bit more taste great on s local level.
Katsu, Spam pand teri chicken tough. Must have been sitting for a while.
I like the shoyu long rice and the California hand roll
Omg, delicious food 😋 😍 👌 ❤ Great and friendly staff 👍
Great local food
Food is good… that is if you can get it. Obsessed with their California rolls! As other reviews have said, you have to get there early or everything sells out. You also have to catch them when they’re randomly open. Giving 3 stars due to the lack of dependability in their business hours. You also have to catch them when they’re randomly open. Giving 3 stars due to the lack of dependability in their business hours. The intermittent closures are FAR too frequent.. every time I make the effort to come out the place is closed (it’s happened about 5 times). Closed January 5th-10th is the latest. UPDATE: lessened from 3 to 2 stars. Now they’re closed through the 12th. I’ve watched 4 people walk up and turnaround while editing my review. I understand things happen but you’d think a company in business this long would have it more together. Another lunch break wasted. Less
Kaneohe's best take out, period.
Love the food!! Good people, best Okazuya food💯💯👍👍😊😚
If you get there early food such as shrimp tempura still crispy, if not soggy and oily. Fresh fish still good as ever.
Great diverse menu and conveniently walking distance for me. Organized well to get customers in and out fast. Friendly staff. Food is top line delicious esp. their fresh Ahi. Great place to come regularly, I mourn when they close to take vacation days.
Yum!
Workers are so nice, patient, and thorough. The squid lu'au may not be for everyone (more like a pudding than other places') but everything is tasty and served quickly. No regrets!
Everything was so so good. Too many items to choose from. Excellent customer service. Fast and efficient. Can't wait to visit again. Mahalo plenty!!
Good food and friendly staff. Food is very pricey.
Great Mom-n-Pop store. Their laulaus are moist and tasty, and their poi is not overly diluted with water. My go to place for a great home cooked take out meal.
Delicious wasabi ahi hand cone. Not too spicy and very flavorful. The kids loved the spam and hot dog musubis. Friendly and clean. At 12 PM, selection was more sparse, but that's to be expected.
Food tastes great 👍
Kind of expensive
Awesome Yummy Okazu ya!!!😋
Lots of parking, friendly staff, good variety of food, quick service
They only open once a week now which is Thursday. There were a small line before we get in but nice attendant guy told us to call the store for pick up if we know what we want. We wouldn't mind wait so we waited. Once you're in the store, all workers inside were very efficient and helpful so it went by very quick. We absolutely love their Ahi Sashimi Platter. tasty and delicious grab and go foods. will definitely visit again
Haisai, hungry for Uchinanchu foods i ordered 'jyu she mi' and 'pig feet soup' w/a side of 'andagi' ... great value for great food!!!
This is a favorite of my son and daughter-in-law. Go early because selections run out. Nice choices of pokey. So yummy.
I've been coming here since I was a little kid, and I'm 24 now. I just returned to the islands after years away, and I managed to introduce my wife (from japan) to this place as well. She loves it! Service is great and food is always delicious:)
Depends on the time of day you go, the earlier, the more availability and the fresher the food. I really wanted to give it 5 stars because the food is so good
Good food
I went there to order a 30 andagi for a beach day. The guy puts 12 in a bag and then a woman worker next to him takes the rest and he says not enough for my order. Yes she had a big order but shouldn't it go to who orders first? I suggest they get more organized and train in customer service.
Tasty food but very pricey.
Parking is a beast, but thankfully stalls open frequently as most places are just grab and go in the area. It can get pretty busy, but staff is friendly and efficient. Great place to get spam musubis, pancakes, Hawaiian plate lunch, japanese inspired food (Donuts!) and more
Love it food is ono , everything so fresh, family oriented
A must!
Best FRESH FISH ANYWHERE!!! I DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Edit: Updating 1/25/23 - Nothing has Changed from my original REVIEW👍‼️ Masa & Joyce is still the best place to get fresh poki & great local grinds 👍‼️
Best okazuya in Kaneohe 😋
An okazuya sells a selection of Japanese-style side dishes, as well as local Hawaiian fare, and Masa & Joyce is one of the better ones. Yummy!!!!!
Wow! One of the best I’ve had on Oahu! Thank you!
Really good food it’s a hidden gem !! Found out about this place from uncle Charly, super pleased with the quality of service and delicious products. I’ll definitely try to stop by here when I’m on this side of the island.
Delicious bites to go! The garlic shrimp musubi, handrolls and poke were delicious.
Our favorite..everything is ono.
The service was extraordinary. The quality and quantity of food was great. Reccomend it to everyone.
Good place for gluten free food if your in a hurry.

Hats off to Jan (from Aiea). Very friendly & wasn’t upset when we wasn’t sure what we wanted to order. Prices: what you can expect at an Okazuya establishment. We easily spent close to $100 because we wanted to try everything. COVID practices: decals on floor to remind you to stay 6 ft apart. There’s hand sanitizers & everyone wears a mask. Food: poke bowl was a winner along with all the sushi & spam musubi we purchased. Tried the fried chicken, California rolls, teri hamburger, ahi patty, tempuras, undagi & a whole lot more. Wasn’t disappointed - everything was great. Overall - 👍 We’ll be back when we’re visiting this side of the island. Less

Local Mom and Pop shop known for making some tasty Poké
Best place on island to get okazuya , wish they had a location in town area. You have to love their hand rolls,
Popped by for some treats after the garden. I highly recommend swinging by early (not after the lunch rush). The people were friendly and helpful. The poke bowls and spam Musubi were delicious. Unlike Foodland, the ratio of spam and rice were perfect here! So many local options. Safe physical distancing practices during Covid.
My GO TO for da best potato salad, handrolls, etc. Sooo glad they continue to provide food even during covid.
It is very good bento box and friendly stuffs!
I hadn't had Masa & Joyce for nearly ten years. THIS is home style comfort food. The flavors are the same as when I was a kid. I recommend the hot dog and garlic chicken musubi and the marinated eggplant with shoyu chicken long rice.
Quick and good food
Bags Ono
Ordered the garlic chicken katsu...not bad
I ordered several item's Because the sweet potato is in the same fridge as other seafood item's. It tasted fishy I guess it absorb surrounding seafood. Kinda dissapeared!
The food is good the hand rolls are great
My wife devoured the Saba with her eyes and then happily "dug in"! Lots of food for the money!
Just NOMZ!
Good food and good service
Nice okazuya close to home.
There is a pretty good selection of okazuya items available, but I thought it was very expensive. I got everyday items like egg, hamburger patty, gobo, etc., and when she said my total was $24.50, I was shocked. The flavors were nothing special. I satisfied my curiosity about this place, and will patronize other okazuyas that are not as expensive. I won't mention names, but at 2 others that I go ... More

The dried aku is so good!!
The okazuya has a system to handle the customer flow. Their friendly man at the door regulates the number of customers in the place and markers and arrows for social distancing and customer flow have been placed. The system works well. Food is good and the staff is friendly.👍
Very tasty food, efficient service.
One of the few places you can get broke da mouth Hawaiian and local food. The price is reasonable for what you get, and the selection is rare to find on Oahu. If you ever have the hankering for Hawaii comfort food, this is your place. Of course it's staffed by down to earth local people too. It's always a pleasure to visit. 🤙
a hidden gem
The best musubi on the island!
Food was really good! Took it to a beach to eat. Enjoyed trying new food.❤
Hawaiian food not so great and the portion size is very small.
It's ok the haupia was not good not mix good lumpy other then that ok
Pricey
Excellent food. Incredibly fresh and delicious. Worth the trip.
Absolutely delicious!
Classic okazuya, got quite a bit more costly recently but good
Great options
We've been going her since they opened and not once...and we go there on average 6 times a month...were we disappointed!! Everything is ono#!
Good food helpful staff local kine grinds
Nice to have an okazuya with lots of choices. We were only able to try the some of the okazuya which was okay. Will have to try the Hawaiian food the next time.
Great place. The food was good and felt very laid back. The works were kind and very helpful.
Awesome local food
Have been coming here for over 25 years!
I haven't been there in years I picked up fresh Ahi sashimi for dinner it was perfect I definitely will go back sooner than later😘
Good and fast.
