I am writing to express my disappointment with the post-construction cleaning service we recently received, please think again before you book.We hired the company after removing popcorn ceilings and before moving into our home because we wanted a thorough professional cleaning. The service was not inexpensive, and unfortunately we encountered numerous issues throughout the day. Had we not been present during the cleaning, many of these problems would have gone unnoticed. Some of our concerns include:• One cleaner informed me that he needed to drive to Scarborough to obtain a curtain rod. I ended up offering my own ladder to help. I would have expected a professional cleaning company to arrive fully equipped with the necessary tools and supplies.• Our curtain rod was broken during the cleaning process (which I have attached the photos), and when it was dropped it nearly damaged our floor tile as well.• Also, I specifically asked whether the area behind the refrigerator had been cleaned, and I was told very confidently that it had been. However, only a few minutes later, the cleaners attempted to pull the refrigerator out and it became clear that the area had not been cleaned at all. This was particularly concerning because it suggested that work was being reported as completed when it had not actually been done.• One of the workers repeatedly threw items onto the floor instead of placing them down carefully.• The kitchen cabinets still have visible yellow grease stains that were not properly cleaned.• We had to repeatedly point out areas (some I had to mention it 4 times for them to clean or else they would’ve forgotten it; they also questioned me as if they already cleaned that area, but clearly it was very dirty) that were missed and ask for them to be cleaned again, including closet tops, bathroom cabinets, kitchen cabinets, and window sills.• At one point, the stove was turned on and left on. If we had not been present, this could have created a serious safety issue, especially since one of the cabinet dividers was resting on top of the stove.• We specifically paid for post-construction cleaning, yet it appears that only the areas at eye level were cleaned. When we inspected higher surfaces using a ladder, there was still dust throughout the home. This defeats the purpose of hiring a post-construction cleaning service.• The workers frequently took personal phone calls, including some lengthy conversations. One worker spent significant time walking around rather than actively working.• Overall, the quality of service fell far below our expectations. We hired professionals to ensure the home would be properly cleaned before moving in, but instead we spent much of the day monitoring the work, pointing out missed areas, questioning whether tasks had actually been completed, addressing issues as they arose, and cleaned everything again myself.I sent them the feedback and no response.
