He required full payment before install ($1200). 6/26 he was 4 hours late with none of the materials or doors that we paid for ready or bought yet. Previously told us that they would be ready to hang on that date. Lost the measurements the day before install and asked my wife to remeasure! And when he did buy the doors he bought the cheapest ones. He tried to stain in our driveway in the sun and then left and told us he needed to bleach them. My wife tried to keep in contact with him with little to no response. Finally we had enough and my wife asked him for our money back and still haven't heard anything from him with no response until I sent him a private message. He said my wife wasnt telling me the whole story even though I seen it for myself about what was agreed upon. He refuses to give us back our money even though he's been turned into the Attorney General for fraud and contacted by an investigator. Dylan's work is also horrible. See review pictures and on his business page. The fence looks like a child built it. A total joke. Less

Early December, Zierke Construction (Dylan) done what we thought was a great job replacing our siding. They tore everything off, stacked it neatly and cleaned up each day before heading home. We did have a couple of concerns about a few things, but Dylan had explained to us that the siding is hard to cut in the cold. He also explained that it flexes, expands, and shifts with the weather. We agreed to check it when it warms up and let him know if we still had concerns. Overall, we were pleased at first. Come springtime, we were outside power washing the soffits and gutters and the siding. The top pieces of the siding come flying off. So, we start checking everything out. From the road it’s all great but get up close, not so much. Some pieces looked to be cut short and some weren’t locking into place and drooping down. Our windows have large gaps in the corners of the J channel, some were cut off at 45-degree angles and others overlapped. Not sure how some get cut and some not? I mean how do you cut 3 of the 4 corners on a window. We found a piece of siding that appeared to be a scrap piece on one side of our house. We contacted Dylan about those issues. In the meantime, we had another issue arise with our internet company and asked if he would fix that for us when he came down to fix the other issues. He was willing to fix that and touch up anything else we had. We asked him to come on a Friday that would work around our work schedule so we could go over stuff with him. First scheduled Friday EXCUSE #1 his supplier “lost” the siding within a weeks’ time. The next Friday EXCUSE #2 he had a flat tire. The following Friday he shows up and takes all the siding off to fix the issue caused by our internet company. While putting stuff back up he realized he got the wrong siding so just puts everything back up except the top couple feet. So, we have a bare spot, and he tells us he will contact his supplier and will be back next Friday. Next Friday there is a NO SHOW/no word. The Friday after he was a NO SHOW again and we hadn’t heard anything from him, so we contact him. Says he will be down Friday to take care of everything. When he shows up, we walk around with him pointing everything out. His fix for the siding falling from the top was going to be jimmy rig it with little nails and caulking. One spot he pulled the piece down and realized he didn’t even completely nail up the J channel, it was missing several nails. He admits he forgot to clip some of the corners (9 of them) to make the 45-degree angles in the J channel around the windows and doors. The gaps in the corners of the J channel he claims were because of our windows not because of bad cuts. He tried to say there was nothing he could do about it. We wanted it done right. We contacted another experienced contractor and was informed it is NOT our house. It’s lack of someone knowing what they are doing! Dylan kept mentioning his supplier was going to “make things right with him” he had a wasted trip and lost a day’s work beings they ordered the wrong siding that cost him money. However, we had to take a couple of these Fridays off work just to find out he was not going to show up beings his normal start time was 10-11 AM. He didn’t want to make it right with us. We ended up upsetting Dylan where he left us with what siding he got to fix our issues and not finishing our siding project. We now have to re-hire someone else to redo the job he has been paid to do. He still wanted to charge us for the 3 pieces we wanted replaced to begin with from the internet company’s screw up. Everything that was under warranty from his work with his shady “fix” it and what couldn’t be fixed his way he had an excuse. I realize he is young; this is a new company, and he is still trying to get his business to thrive, so he does need experience. However, in my opinion this is not the way to success. The quote we found Dylan using throughout all of this, in his own words “It is what it is!” Less

In just six days time (finishing on a Saturday) Dylan Zierke and one employee did an excellent job working in the cold, rain and into the dark to make sure we had our siding done before Christmas. It turned out better than we imagined it would. They done a great job on the tear off of the old siding and kept everything in a nice neat pile and did NOT just throw the nails on the ground! That is not something you find very often!! They also made sure every thing was put away before heading home for the evening. Less
