We had Richards install new carpet and new hardwood flooring as well as refinishing our current wood flooring. First the gentlemen laying the carpet did an excellent job. They were very particular about having it laid just right. They were excellent and very respectful of our house and our day. They were slap very helpful in moving the big pieces of furniture back. We would surely use them again. The gentleman that did our wood floors was very knowledgeable and matched that with excellent workmanship. He explained everything and what he would do if it were in his house. Also very respectful of our day and to work around our day as well. I would definitely use Richards’s Again. Less

NOT RECOMENDED!!! I was hoping for a good experiance with Richards flooring based on the reviews. I needed my flooring replaced in my kitchen after a water leak and had been recieveing multiple quotes. I chose Richards because I felt that they seemd more honest then some of the other companies. I submitted the claim to the insurance company and this is where everything went down hill. The quote only had one line item with no break down of materials and labor. The insurance company requested a more detailed quote so I requested this from Richards flooring. I did not recive a response via email and so called the persons number who I had worked with, no answer. After a couple of attempts, I called the office, a lady said she would find out and get back to me. I heard nothing. during this time I was recieving automated emails telling me that if i put a down payment I would recive a discount. With no responses or follow ups I responded to one of the automated emails in which I finally got a return telling me it was a automated emaila nd that the poerson that I worked with was going to get me a quote. I waited and still no response and so back to trying to find a flooring company. The store that I chose in the end was $1200.00 less then Ricards and provided a very detailed quote. They did an amazing job and were very easy to work with. In the end if Richards did not want to do the job or felt that since it was an insurance clain they could charge more and then bailed because the insurance asked for the details. Either way it was a waste of my time. I would have perfered if they said that they couldnt take the work so I could have moved on. Less

I had a couple of other flooring places I was looking at but did not like the color/carpet choices and prices we needed. I took a chance and trusted Google Reviews to lead the way and it/they did not disappoint. James acted quickly and even came to the house that day to drop off a sample of the carpet we needed in a guest bedroom which sits near the entryway so it is very visible. I did not want a "cheap-looking" carpet nor did I want a "dark-colored" carpet that others were proposing. I've been hemming and hawing for over 2 months. With James bringing the sample board to me, I was able to make a decision within an hour and we were on our way-finally!! I love my new berber-plush carpet in a light grey that looks lovely in that room. There was a mix-up in day (Fred came a week too early) and time (the day of, Fred showed up at 8am instead of the given timeframe of 9:30-10:00am). Otherwise, a very satisfied customer! Less

Richard’s Carpet & Flooring was 1 of 3 businesses that gave us a quote. I spoke with Richard over the phone and his co-worker/childhood friend Nick stopped by the next day. He was friendly and didn’t use high pressure sales tactics. Their pricing was already competitive and on top of that they gave us a 10% military discount (my lady’s a veteran). Final cost was 1k lower than the highest bid we received from a different company. They got us the exact carpet we wanted; we just had to wait a few days for it to ship. Installation was done in about 8 hours and I did see that the installer used a power stretcher and not just a knee kicker. The installation looks great so far. Would post more pictures but it’s only been a few days and we just moved in so the house is cluttered. I highly recommend Richard’s and will be in touch for any future flooring needs. Less

We hired Richard’s Carpet + Flooring to come install carpet in our two bedrooms and we could not be happier with the result. Our installer, Sol, arrived right on time and finished the job quickly, efficiently, and to the highest of standards. We are so very happy to have worked with Richard’s as the entire process - start to finish - was incredible and their customer service was top notch. Their price was very fair for the work being completed and the new carpet looks amazing; I can’t stop checking them out every chance I get. I picked Richard's because everyone said they had great customer service and did a great job. I had an $11,000 job of an entire house vinyl planking and carpeting. They really did a nice job on the final project but they gouged and scratched the baseboard quite extensively which Richard said was a little more than usual and probably was from the paint job not sticking very well. The communication from Richard was also significantly lacking on every aspect of the job which he always blamed on his staff. For instance he would state that he was going to contact me on a certain day to let me know when the install was scheduled but then he never did and I had to finally call the office a few days later. I also didn't find out that part of my order was back ordered until the delivery person told me when he delivered the rest of the order. I didn't see the customer service that some people did I guess. Less

While they were pretty fast at installing carpet in two rooms which was nice, they did not vacuum up the loose fibers after finishing installing and when the closet doors would not fit back on, they just said to “cut them” then left. There was no follow up for a 4k$ project. The carpet is really nice, but pretty much zero customer service. Would not recommend. *edit* I have self taught how to sand down the doors so I will just do that. Also we eventually bought a new vacuum as our old one, the roller didn’t work (which is how they “cleaned up”) because they forgot to bring a vacuum with them. Dropping to 1 star as even after reading the review they didn’t remedy the situation. Less

I am so impressed and happy with Richards Carpet and Flooring! They redid two bedroom floors a hallway, livingroom floor and painted the ceiling and all the walls in the house my brother and I bought. It is gorgeous! Excellent work! On top of all of it my brother had been in a accident and was being released from the hospital and it all needed to be ready for him. James had come out on a Wednesday and that next Monday they were already working on it! The other contractors I contacted were 4-6 weeks out. I am so so grateful they worked so hard to get it ready for my brother. When we redo our kitchen I will definitely be going with Richards Carpet and Flooring!
