Recently I had the opportunity to travel overseas and visit two CrossFit gyms in two different States of the USA. . Entering the gyms, there are things that look familiar to the CrossFit gym I attend at home. The equipment was familiar. There were rowers, echo bikes and ski ergs, plenty of weights, bars and squatting racks. The workouts were familiar. Double unders, thrusters, box jumps, burpees, squat cleans, toes to bar, AMRAPS and EMOMS, time caps. Familiar again. As I spent time at the different gyms, I reflected on how my home gym, CrossFit Feel Good stands apart from every other gym.For me, it comes down to 2 crucial elements, quality of coaching and incredibly relational community.Firstly. Ben Wadwell, the owner and head coach at CrossFit Feel Good is an expert in his field.Ben is a CrossFit Level 3 Trainer and competed at multiple regional / sectionals for CrossFit Games in both individual and team. He is without peer in this field. Ben’s attention, care, commitment and dedication to every athlete who walks through the doors at CrossFit Feel Good is unmatched.Ben has ensured the team of coaches assembled, Gemma Hayes, Nick Saunders, Maylynn Nunn and PJ Almendras share his passion to ensuring every CrossFit Feel Good athlete reaches their full potential. They are all outstanding.Secondly, the community of CrossFit Feel Good is extraordinary and unmatched. Every athlete trains their hardest, but also supports others. It is a real and genuine community. It is common to see athletes cheer on others as workouts are completed. The community feel is reflective of Ben’s core values, and the core values of the other coaches. It was a wonderful, enjoyable and enlightening experience to visit other gyms, however, there is no gym like CrossFit Feel Good led by Ben Wadwell.
