I recently moved to live around and as a student I was very thrilled to have this groceries store nearby! However it didn't last long, simply because the prices there are extremely high compared to other organic stores! Apparently, I have to find another destination...
Awesome customer service, thanks Diamond Kings, clean, organized, professional environment/staff, café ,fresh foods, amazing wellness vegan Aunt Marie's Soulful Greens beautiful artwork and more.
This store has everything & then some. A whole deli shop, coffee shop, and a nice selection of self serve kombucha. Jason was so sweet and gave me a tour of the store literally one stop shop. Great produce selection and my kids love the lil snack bowls they have in the front. I love the vegan & gluten free section and the black owned vendor products they carry too. Always friendly, love the options available and hope to watch it grow! Great local grocery option. I also would love to know where the produce is coming from, extra points if supporting local farms.
This is the cutest and sweetest little grocery store! They have everything I need! Especially as a vegan I can always pick up their veggie bowls! Their staff and manager are so kind ! I love that they sell local items as well!
Absolutely worthless grocer unless you're absolutely desperate. Very overpriced, and their stock is almost non-existent. Why does this place even exist?
Ridiculously overpriced. A bag of peas and carrots, $9. A lunch cup of Chef Boyardee, $5.99. Two ounces of picked grapes, six baby carrots in a cup, $5. Not in this neighborhood. Out of their minds.
This place is fabulous! Am thrilled to have a market right here in midtown that strives to meet the needs of quality and price. They are new and just getting started, so grace is necessary. However, they already have so many amazing products in store. One thing I appreciate is that they support local, so you can find wonderful artisan products. Finally, they offer the option of meal prepping: bring them your recipe and there you have it. They have a deli area, a coffee station, and seating. What a wonderful place. Wishing you so much success!! Less
Not open during the hours advertised.
Calling this a grocery store is a little bit of a stretch. More like a convenience store with a very sparse selection.
Was sooooo excited for this place due to lack of grocery stores in close proximity within the city. I was so disappointed to discover the grossly overpriced groceries… I feel like the average person cannot afford these prices. Especially with the way inflation is right now. I just assumed this store would be serving the area in the best way.
The store you can buy a couple eggs instead of a cart, u can get a cup of rice instead of a bag come to the on the corner of 35th Troost in the apartment building.
Desperately needed in an area deprived of food and walkable amenities. This place has both! Support this awesome business which is absolutely making Kansas City more community focused and healthy!
I live across the street and I was stoked for this spot. Great customer service experience but the prices are OFFENSIVELY high. I paid 10 bucks just for a shaker of paprika. Not worth the convenience if I can get the same product down the road for 80% less. Shouldn’t be surprised it’s under one of the MAC properties with equally offensive rent rates.
Went last night and had the best experience! I was greeted by the kitchen manager, Jay, who helped guide me through the whole store. The experience was unlike anything I've felt at any other grocery store or market in my life. I cook a lot and spend so much of my time at the grocery store, but there's wasn't one in my neighborhood, so I have to travel far and wrestle crowds/parking. It was so refreshing to find organic good and fresh produce just blocks from my house, and greeted by a friendly team member was so cool. Already have told all of my friends, and I'll be back next week :)! Less
Limited selection, but really really handy. Prices aren't too bad either. Can't wait for them to get the kinks worked out (check out is a bit clunky).
My bus would drive by this corner grocery store and the lights were always on as I waited for its opening day. It has big display windows and you are able to see the shelves and everything inside. This location gives it an open atmosphere which is inviting and friendly. The space between the store's shelves is wide and roomy as you browse their products. This location gives it an open atmosphere which is inviting and friendly. The space between the store's shelves is wide and roomy as you browse their products. Community Groceries is the type of corner grocery store every person would like to have in their neighborhood. A lot of their products appear to be store brands. However, they do have a lot of name brands, so if you happen to run out of something, or you have unexpected guests come by visiting; you can run down to the Community Groceries and pick up some more produce or canned goods. Helpful staff and nice selection of essentials in a convenient downtown location.
