I don’t know why I took so long to write a review. I went here for 3 months for my short time in Hawaii. It really is more than just a CrossFit gym, and they treat you like family. I was a totally new beginner to CrossFit and yet I always felt at ease that they could teach me how to do the movements. I never thought I would like CrossFit but this place made me love it. Really great place to get a good workout. Coach Ethan is good for beginners along with coach Paul but Coach Paul gives a harder workout (in a good way). Recommend both coaches for being friendly and will work with you on whatever level you’re at and making sure you’re being safe in the moves Less

I love this gym. The community is amazing and the coaches are super motivating and informative. I joined this gym with very little experience and I highly recommend for all levels. After 1 month of consistently going to this gym 4 days a week, I feel stronger, more confident and knowledgeable about how to do certain movements properly. The coaches spend time to work with you if you’re newer and the workouts are new everyday so you’ll never get bored. All you gotta do is show up, do what’s instructed and go home. Also, cost effective as they have various monthly plans to choose from and the drop in rate is reasonable compared to other studios on island. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was vacationing in Honolulu and wanted to "drop in" to a local functional fitness gym. I stopped by Kuleana Fitness and was quickly greeted by Coach Mike and Uilani. They were professional, friendly, and made me feel right at home. For the WOD (work out of the day) I was coached by Chasen (Coach and owner) who ran the class well and gave me great tips on improving my movements. He gave great guidance to other "drop in" athletes and folks who were new to functional fitness. Overall, I highly recommend Chasen, Mike, and the rest of the staff at Kuleana Fitness. We were in Waikiki for a week and needed access to rowing machine. Kuleana had the equipment needed and provided a very reasonable one-week membership. Gym is very clean and friendly, and an easy Uber ride from Waikiki. Less

I dropped by this cool mostly-outdoor space to squeeze in a workout while traveling (sticking to the program as much as possible!) and I’d visit again. They have all the equipment you’d expect of a CrossFit facility even if you’re not doing their WOD or CrossFit, which works well for anyone looking for barbells and open space. Their open gym hours overlap during their class times so it was cool to see what the class was doing (the CrossFit open workout that had just been streamed). Coach was welcoming and showed me where to find all the stuff. Masks weren’t required because the space was mostly open air (with a part roof/covering), though some people wore them. As far as parking it looks like some class members parked on the street nearby, though I took rideshare. Less

In town for 30 days for work. Very welcoming and good programming. Lots of class options made it easy with my work schedule. I'm not a fan of wearing a mask, ever, especially when working out. This is an open air crossfit location that does not require you to wear a mask. Rain was never an issue. Less

Aloha guys I had an amazing experience in your gym, very tight and OPEN community. Felt like home the first day, can't be more welcomed with Marissa (enjoyed her as a coach too, super funny and professionnal). Same with Noah, super cool guy. We use the open gym almost everyday as well as classes here and there, both service were runned perfectly. Each time, someone from your staff were there to check us in and say hi, even if it was not the coach. Your members are super cool too. We can feel all the work you did here. Great job !!! Hands down the absolute BEST gym EVER!! The staff is so friendly and the trainers are knowledgeable beyond any trainer I’ve ever had in 18 years of traveling the world. I am a very particular client and they have met every request I wanted and asked for. Coach Marcus has custom made a training program for me, literally kicking my butt in every session and Coach Inhofer is an expert trainer and food programmer. I’ve also worked with many of the other trainers that are just as skilled. It’s much more than a workout, this gym is like family. Came to oahu for 3 months for work. Found the gym based on the reviews online before I got to the island and took a leap of faith and joined. Soon fell in love with the gym, the atmosphere, and the coaches and the people. What an amazing place and a gym that is always looking out for you and trying to help you reach your goals. The coaches are killer and the classes small to help you individually each time you go. If you forget your water bottle after working out, it will be there the next time you come to the gym. I love how focused CrossFit Kuleana is on an athlete's technique. The coaches are excellent and work with you if you have a pre-existing injury. The coaches will modify the WOD to ensure you get a great workout without aggravating an old wound. Less
