We had an incredible adventure with Coomera House boats! The entire experience was an absolute dream. They set us up for success with a through and clear briefing as well as providing clear documentation. They were always a call away and were very supportive with any questions we had. The space is huge and incredibly well equipped. There is a full kitchen with plenty of equipment for making meals for big groups. The bedrooms were comfy and have big windows that make them feel especially spacious. We enjoyed beautiful days sunning on the jacuzzi deck while watching eagles divebomb overhead as they fished. We had lazy evenings cuddling and laughing on comfy couches with panoramic views of stunning sunsets as our backdrop. Upstairs is an ideal entertainment area with a big screen TV, speakers, bar and an extra fridge. Our support driver Shaun had great customer service and was so helpful with fishing information. We got some great flathead. Owner needs to change bed in dining room down stairs. Bed is hard to put up and down, mattress has mould on it and very uncomfortable. Needs to be replaced. Bad cockroach infestation.Had a live one on my hair! Yuck!!! 😳😩 When hiring we need to be told that we had to have generator on for at least 8 hours per day and the cost.. That is a lot of money I was unaware of. Pity about the Qld Safety Officer making us move. We had to sit around not able to go kayaking or fishing in the boat till we were moved. The place he told us to move to was worse and my boat was damaged by boats speeding passed. Pity ‘Brad’ didn’t focus on his job and concentrate on speeding craft which was dangerous and against the law. Stereo wasn’t working and some remotes needed new batteries. Thank you Less

A fantastic 3 nights spent aboard Shenanigans with 8 mates on our annual houseboat trip. There was ample bedding for the 9 of us with a combination of permanent and temporary beds. The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge and separate large freezer, microwave and other electrical appliances. A large back deck is a great place for a few to throw a line out. Upstairs on the top deck there is plenty of room for us to fish and just chill. The bbq is a decent size compared to some houseboats. The staff at Coomera Houseboats were great to deal with. The online check-in saves you time when you arrive. We have booked through Coomera Houseboats 16 times over the last 20 years and look forward to number 17. Less

5 days of pure bliss! It was our first time hiring a houseboat and first time being on the water as a self-drive experience, so we were nervous. However the crew gave us excellent instructions, and stayed with us for about 15 minutes on the water until we felt comfortable, and surprisingly it was much easier than we thought (and we were in the biggest boat) so don't let fear stop you. The amenities on board were fantastic, bedroom and bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen was spacious and well stocked with utensils. The peace and serenity out on the water, especially at night and in the mornings, makes this one of my favourite holiday experiences + the kids were off the devices, connecting with nature, exploring the mangroves and beaches, and spending quality time with us, which is something that money can't buy. As novices, booking, info and instructions were easy. The boat(Aristocrat) was perfect for the two of us. An hour out we got bogged the anchor seized and by the time we freed it the boat had drifted onto a sandbank. A phone call to base- to trim up-got us free. Coming back at low tide was sketchy, north arm of the river is pretty shallow, so trim up and full throttle. Navigation is the important part. Check the charts on your route and keep one eye on the depth sounder and the other on incoming boats. Night-time can freak you out---boats dont seem to travel with headlights, they rely on your anchor light-a 3cm yellow dot on top of your boat(dont forget to switch it on). Not that there are many boats cruising at night. But still a restless night. Fishing was good ,for us mainly after sundown. Caught every inedible fish-catfish, shark, eel and even a sea snake. Even the crabs were too small. But it was adventure. Would we do it again? Yes-probably. Less

Had a fantastic 3 night stay on the Coomera Houseboat. My wife and I with our two grandchildren really enjoyed it. Caught a couple of legal mud crabs & a few blue crabs. Having the tender as well is a definite and the kids just loved it. Any calls/queries during our stay to Nic at the office was always answered promptly. It was a great holiday. I went with my dad and siblings for 3 days and nights. It was great to learn hot to drive a boat and learn a bit about boating. The toilet on our boat was annoying because it was similar to a dutch toilet and there was a lot of splashback which is really annoying. considering the small size of the boat it still had 4 beds which is epic. Not the first time we’ve been on a house boat . Some have been a little untidy, this one had just been refurbished and was great. Service onboarding was polite and helpful, training and charts were good. But as before steering is a pain and I suppose the nature of the beat. You turn the wheel left and 15 minutes later the boat starts going left only to realise that two turns was too much and you need to go the other way. So its a bit if a ziz zac up the river. If you are thinking about a relaxed cruise, forget about it. But i knew that. The only other negative for me was the money grab on the outboard for the tender. Come on guys include it in the price. You wouldn’t want to be in a row boat in a fast moving tide trying to get back to the mothership if you happened to be a little further away. My recommendation is check out the boat if you can beforehand, some are not as tidy as the one we had. Oh yea I couldn’t find a light upstairs , bit of a pain at night . Just had 4 days on the Osprey and had an awesome time. The boat was great and everything worked. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially the young lad who put us onto the crabs! We’ve never been on the water around Coomera so the advice really helped. Also they had us out and on the water by 12 o’clock which was awesome. Stayed on the Shangri Lah for 5 nights its a stable boat with room for 2 families comfortably. The staff were friendly and great to deal with. The house boat itself is a bit run down and riddled with little cockroaches thru out the boat even crawling on people thru the night. The upstairs fridge is very ordinary and struggled to keep things cold . The stereo upstairs doesn't work and the boat has no navigation lights that worked as was noted by passing by boats . I ended up having to wiggle the anchor light each night so it would work. I even had to get new batteries for the TV remotes as they didn't work . But we still had a great family Easter break aboard Less

Unfortunately our booking was impacted by the late Feb floods, but Hendrik was super proactive and offered us compassionate options that would work for our family circumstances. Fantastic time aboard the 'Aristocat' for 6 nights. The staff at Coomera Houseboat Holidays were so lovely and very helpful. They made our experience second to none by making everything easy. Bibi is an asset to the company as front of house person. She is friendly and has a lovely manner with people and made us feel very welcome. We cruised to many places on the itinerary map and had some fabulous anchorages - the weather was a little overcast but even that wasn't a problem, because it was so relaxing just being on the water. We caught at least a dozen meals of fish and had a ball... so much so, that we've booked a boat again for around the same time next year. Perfect holiday through the best company in business. Just had an amazing weekend on the Houseboat Opensky. The boat was very clean, capable and had everything we needed. Took a whole 10 minutes to get used to the way it sailed and was very stable. The crew were awesome and gave a thorough briefing prior to departure. After helping us depart the dock they even joined us for 15 mins helping us get used to the handling of the boat and once we were confident they headed off in the spare tender in tow. What an amazing way to explore the area. The Aristocat was just perfect for our week on the water. We saw dolphins, turtles and even Dugongs. Thanks to the tender we were also able to do short walks on Stradbroke. The Coomera Houseboat Team was amazing. Super friendly, helpful and the briefing + all provided manuals were very good.
